I saw Doctor Sen from Gotham Orthopedics, for my wrist. I have a minor form of ulnar impaction syndrome. Without examining my situation carefully, he suggested me to do the ulnar shortening surgery. I saw two other hand surgeons afterwards and they both recommended no surgery. After I declined to do the surgery, Dr. Sen's office started sending me bills for the visit and it turned out that he was not in my insurance network. When I called his office, the billing office told me that if I had decided to do the surgery, they wouldn't have billed me. My insurance has a deductible portion for the out of network services. Even with the deductibles, the out of network surgery would get paid much higher than the in network ones. I found that to be unethical and dishonest.

I was in a horrible motorcycle accident in 2009 And when they airlifted me to the hospital, they said they would have to remove my leg due to the horrific condition it was in. Dr.Sen is the only reason I still have it. He would not stop until I was fully healed. I owe everything to this man. He is a wonderful doctor, and person. He constantly checked in on me while I was in the hospital for 2 weeks after it first happened. And after I was out, he still did. I would recommend him to anyone.

I was referred to this doctor after a horrible car accident. The day before the appointment I tried to get in early since I had a fever of 100.8. When I called, the PA (who had been yelling at the secretary what to tell me) barked at me they were too busy, that I would have to go to the ER. I just went to our family physician instead. The next day I went to Dr. Sen's office. It was a follow up visit, so they would only let me see the PA, until I arrived and they realized I was a referral patient (something I told them three times on the phone). We dealt with the PA for most of the visit. She was rude and had zero bedside manners. She attempted to force off an extra small wrist splint which had gotten stuck after the nurse forced it on. It was so excruciatingly painful, and Linda the PA absolutely did not care. She was literally screaming at me that if I couldn't get it off, she would take it off. We finally saw the doctor for about 12 minutes, and he was nice enough, but did not impress me enough to continue putting up with the no-class trailer trash he hired to help with his caseload. I am currently seeking a new doctor.
