2 stars for his cordial attention during our appointments and his encouraging way of saying “call me if you need anything “. I switched my mother over 2 years ago as he was known to be great. From the start i mentioned what my mother had been with her previous doctor for more than 20 years and it gotten to the point in which her appts were more friendly than medical meaning we we stuck in a peek of no help for my mother who suffers of MG myesthenia gravis. He said not to worry we will work on finding her help with by mouth medication and go in from there to removing her thymus gland (which is a great benefit /help for those who suffer from MG). Its been 2 years now and my mother has not improved her episodes of MG are still very much on a daily if nor every other week. I know finding a solution for a patient means less money for a doctor but then whats the purpose of becoming one if money is what interests you and not helping patients live a regular life style? Why work 3 days a week seeing patients while being extremely over booked if all you are going to do is extend there illness for your benefit? Thats not what a doctor does. Horrible staff. They do not tell of an appointment until last minute reminder a day before. Staff does not communicate well with each other & patients. Follow ups for my father are too far apart. Dr also does nothing to help my fathers condition.

Saved my life. A good doctor that cares.

He help me walk again after contracting GBS , by sending me to a Dr. in Houston Thanks Dr Gutierrez.

I was with Dr. Gutierrez since he moved his offices from the other side of 83 over 14 years ago. I had an appointment every month simply to refill a prescription. He is very knowledgeable and cordial. Brenda and the veteran nurses are awesome. However, in his office the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. At least 2-3 times EVERY year, he either goes out of town or something comes up where I come in and find out I'll have to wait an extra 2-3 weeks for him to write me a prescription. The final straw for me was being told that they ran out of prescription pads and had no idea when they'd get more. It was almost a month before they called me back and by then I had already switched doctors. If I relied on him for a lifesaving medication, I would have been dead long ago. Also, be prepared to wait 1.5-2 hrs for a 5 minute appt. If you're scheduled at 8:30, you MIGHT be seen by 10 and out by 10:30 on a good day. Dr. Gutiérrez quickly assessed my situation and saved my eyesight by determining it was urgent for me to go to the hospital, which I obviously did. He is polite, kind and most importantly knowledgeable.
