Visited with her, she told me everything I needed to know. What the options are, and until she knew what was going on, couldn’t make a determination. She was great. Talked with me, asked if I had questions, and made me feel at ease. I knew I was in good hands! She is solid and a great doctor!

To anyone reading this please understand I am not here to bash anyone or ruin thier reputation this is just based off of my own short experience I encountered with Dr. Michelle Cowan. My story is long so I will not go into great details but all together my experience with Dr. Cowan revealed just how incompetent she truly is in the people skills realm. I encourage anyone thinking of seeing this person to try with all your ability to look for another surgeon who could perform the job.

Dr. Cowan and staff are wonderful! She explained all my options during our consult. She also performed a top notch surgery. She has a very caring bedside manner.I had a colonectomy with an ilieostomy in Feb 2017. The whole team explained everything, took their time, and was very thorough. Highly recommend!

I had a total procto-colectomy with ileostomy with Dr Cowan in Feb 2016. She was amazing. I don't understand the previous review re: her bedside manner. I found her caring and informative, and she answered all my questions patiently. She didn't sugarcoat my condition or surgery, so I knew exactly what was going to happen. I think she and her team are top-notch. She's now at UC Denver Hospital. A huge facility, but very efficient for appointments.

I was not at all impressed with Dr. Cowan and would not recommend her to anyone. Dr. Cowan has terrible bedside manner.
