Never got my mother the X-rays needed. Instead he prescribed an addict oxy ! What a joke of a doctor

When in the room(for a yearly checkup), after I gave the secretary my insurance card and was given the ok to have a seat. I was then taken to my room and my vitals were being taken the secretary came in and said I had to leave and they couldn’t see me. Because my insurance card had the name of Doctor Young as my PCP. But my insurance is good and allows me to see any doctor I choose. She then proceeded to tell me that I had to leave or call my insurance to verify that they will pay for Dr. Joe to see me, because Dr. Young no longer is at the practice. She told me to leave and they cannot see me several times. Then left the room. I called my insurance which told me what I told her, when I went back out of the room to tell her what they said, she didn’t even want to hear it, and was dismissive to me. She was rude and completely unprofessional, Dr. Joe Zawisza came in and I told home how I was treated and he shrugged it off and took the side of his secretary. When I told him I didn’t want to stay because I was to upset, he said fine. I told him we will find a new office, he said tell us where to send your records. I was mortified. I've been under the care of all physicians at this practice and all are incredible. I started with Dr David Young but now under Dr Margaret Young care very professional and will give the proper attention throughout complete visit. The staff is very helpful also. Kind, courteous, and very professional. Very flexible in scheduling with multiple offices and get the same level of service from all. Dr. Mike always has time for his patients. Very caring, trustworthy, kind, and really cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an excellent MD.

Dr. Margaret Young, I found to be a very intelligent, and extremely knowledgeable. Above all, I found her to be very kind, with a genuine desire to actually listen with true empathy. Just a little background on me first, so you know I am not someone who is unprofessional and just didn't like the way someone looked at me. I have a Master's Degree (4.0) and I have held various leadership roles in my professional occupation in human service. My mother was diagnosed with life threatening brain tumors. During this time the treatment was unheard of. When my mother and father started telling me how they were being treated, I chalked it up to the stress of the situation. As time went I came to agree with them. My mother was told by her neurologist that the test that Zawisza & Young (Brother and Sister team) were unnecessary and life treating. Remember these are 2 brain tumors and the test done one at a time. Each time one was passed my mother had to go back to the office, pay a co-pay and then she was sent for another test. Then her surgery was pushed back because Zawisza & Young wouldn't sign off. My mom needed someone to stay with her after surgery and it took my father leaving the practice for them to sign off on the FMLA forms. (which were not even filled out by my mother's PC) These forms needed to be given to the hospital for release of my mother. Test that Zawisza & Young order for my mother to be cleared for a brain operation: Sent to optometrist (Zawisza & Young thought it was a detached retina) -dye test Order collated arty sonogram Sent to optometrist again for range test optometrist order MRI optometrist called and told my mom she had a brain tumor (my mother was told over the phone she had a tumor!!!) Then my mom was sent to a neurologist went for a EKG, Blood work, OXY test (post surgery test, normal type of tests) went back and this office said she needed to get a colonoscopy- WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH THE TUMOR!!! They also wanted sugar and cholesterol tested. They wanted a 2nd opinion on my mom's heart. So they wanted my mom to get a stress test which according to heart group center this could have caused major issues since the tumor was on her arty. They did a sonogram instead. Due to the time wasted my mother lost her eyesight permanently! This practice never gave my family the results and my father called several times and their response was "we haven't had time". Then given all this issues my family wanted to leave the practice. My father called to let them know and told Zawisza & Young that we are leaving and needed the records. He would be there the following Monday to get them. When her arrived they said their didn't have them ready. So as the daughter, I called and the office was so RUDE. I was asking questions on how to obtain the records and they said they refused to talk to me due to HIPPA laws.I was not asking any questions about their records, just the process of getting records. Cathy just kept yelling, interrupting and refusing to answer questions then she was telling me how ignorant my father was. She "didn't have to put up with this". I said I was smart individual and my mother was at home after brain sugary and we didn't not have the time to be dealing with this or running around to get this paperwork. She cannot be left alone. Cathy hung up on me. Then I called back to get the info, she put me on hold and then two people answered the phone and I said hello this is **** she said "who am I talking to" I told her again, then asked who was on the line and how many people (I could hear others -like it was speaker phone) she said just her. Then she said she didn't have to deal with me at all. This was the worst experience of my life. My family has so many unnecessary medial bills due to this practice and my mother's brain surgery was postponed due to the lack of professionalism and follow through. PLEASE spread the word do not go here!!!! Cathy (receptionist) I hope you never have to experience what you put my family though. You are one of the most heartless and curl individuals I have ever meant. So bottom line, optometrist found the tumor and this PC did nothing but make things worse for my family! This was the worst experience of my life. My family has so many unnecessary medial bills due to this practice and my mother's brain surgery was postponed due to the lack of professionalism and follow through. Due to the time wasted my mother lost her eyesight permanently (tumor did irreversible damage that could have been prevented)! PLEASE spread the word do not go here!!!!

i have been a patient of dr. z since he first came to town. he has guided me thru some pretty rough times, including a stroke and a bypass heart operation. he made arrangements with w reading hospital to have a heart catherization and 5 blockages were discovered. the local hospital had checked my heart, said it was fine. i was immediately sched. for a bypass operation. if dr. z hadn't made the contacts, i probably wouldn't be here to write this.

Dr. Michael Zawisza has been our family physician for more than 20 years. He has served three generation's of our family.He reminds me of the devoted and caring doctors of 100 years ago... You are not treated like a number, he is highly skilled and genuinely cares. His office staff are professional and helpfull. In an emergency they are available. A five star rating isn't enough!!
