Dr Zakem was very helpful with my leukemia. He was also compassionate. A very good doctor

Very rushed very poor bed side manor doesn't answer questions he may be a great dr but he treats my husband just like a number sad

One of the worst experiences with a clinician in my entire life. He had zero compassion, awful communication skills, do not think he even was familiar with my husband just that he was terminal. He objected however when we wished to switch to a different physician. We did albeit with difficulty. That evening my husband ended up in the ER. Because their paperwork indicated that he was still his primary, they contacted Zakem. He refused to help and left us in the ER without referring him to his new physician or assisting with that. Didn't he take an oath to help people? His pride was injured and he chose to make my husband suffer, literally, because of it.

I was led to Dr. Zakem and he has more than fulfilled his part in keeping me healthy. Brilliant, to the point, yet compassionate - I love him and highly recommend him. The staff, from office to nurses, to Debbie at the front desk also go above and beyond. You walk in the door to a big, genuine smile. I'm so thankful!

Poor interpersonal skills. Does not explain things well. If you are fighting for your life you want to understand the treatments.

Dr. Zakem has been wonderful to me and my family during my ongoing journey with multiple myeloma. He listens, provides information, questions, and supports during challenging times. I’m grateful for his care.

I'd never wish anyone to have to see him but if you have to fight for your life be glad he's on your side. He made the hole cancer treatment go very smooth and was nice to have someone be a straight shooter about everything and his team was very helpful with everything that I was going through. I'm glad he was my DR through this life event.
