Dr. Michael W Wooley

I have been a patient of Dr. Wooley’s for almost 20 years. This doctor has always been so kind and caring towards me and my husband. He takes his time during his doctor visits. We never feel rushed. And his PA, Ms. Valdespino, is excellent as well. A joy to speak to! Both administer great service and excellent patient care!! His office staff is so patient and wonderful to conduct business with. We’re so pleased with his entire office! There is nothing bad to say about any employee in his practice. I have also seen Dr. Schenk, and he and his staff are wonderful as well!

Absolutely terrible customer service. Extremely hard to get in touch with people in his office. Very slow to respond to medical records requests. When they finally did respond, they advised me they no longer have my sleep study on file. I would not see this doc again and I definitely would not recommend him or the DME company he is associated with.

I've had very poor experience with this practice. They are disorganized in setting up/confirming appointments, do not respond to messages, and do not use their own patient portal to share test results. Getting the basic logistics of visits and results is a real chore and it's your job to sort it all out. As far as Dr. Wooley goes, I've had 2 appointments scheduled with him but we have never actually met. The first time he was out and I saw his colleague. The second time, with no notice whatsoever, I saw a Nurse Practitioner. My visit with her was the single best interaction I've had with this entire office, but the lack of communication beforehand was totally in character.

Unprofessional and very rude staff. Didn't appreciate being chewed out for not being able to pay foe a sleep study and would not take insurance info from me. Will never go to his office again.

I was referred by my primary care physician to Dr. Wooley because I’ve been waking up from not breathing in my sleep MULTIPLE times. He spent 5 mins in the room with me and was very, VERY vague on what could possibly be the problem. In fact he didn’t really discuss anything other than he couldn’t do anything for me. Waste of time, gas, and money.

Dr. Woolley spent about three minutes with me. He said that I did not have apnea and my breathing issue while sleeping was just an “episode”. He then said, “Give this paper to the woman on the right as you leave”. I would have preferred, “it’s not apnea but if these episodes continue, I would suggest...”. It appears that Dr. Woolley might be on the nearing retirement phase of his career.

I called this morning for an appointment. The person who answered the phone would breakaway while she would be talking to me. She did this several times. I am glad the doctor has a lot of patients, so he can afford to lose a few.

Dr. Wooley is my go to Pulmonary guy for 15 years. Love the personal care I get from the front office staff to back office. Never had a bad office visit since day one. Keep up the great work!!

I found Dr. Woolley to be very professional. He asked questions that got to the point of the issue I was there for. He was thorough, extremely knowledgeable, and personable. As a retired RN, who has worked with Pulmonary physicians and Critical Care Physicians, he was succinct and to the point. That is what I was there for. Someone who could look at my history, ask the right questions and come to a conclusion that was within best practices. I would highly recommend Dr. Woolley.

I have trouble with the previous ratings of this physician. He does not spend time with useless paternal attitude. He approaches your case in a scientific manner and tells it like it is. Then proceeds to treat in an thoughtful experienced way. He also takes more time with you than the usual out in 10 minutes If you are one who judges by bedside manner, you deserve what you get. If you want first class professional treatment, this is your man. I speak from a medical scientist background.. .
