I was diagnosed with breast cancer and with a double mastectomy and reconstruction you need a plastic surgeon. I was so fortunate to have been referred to him. He is a skilled professional with an amazing staff. I highly recommend him for any surgery. I am grateful to have come through such a miserable situation with this incredible doctor.

He is a very caring , kind , attentive and the best at what he does. I definitely will see him again. I can definitely tell you he is one to trust with your health ,beauty and your best interest. Amazing surgeon.

Just one week ago I was in search of a surgeon who would be capable of SKILLFULLY closing a large scalp wound which was left open down to the skull, and resulting from a Mohs procedure performed in Florida. There are few people I would feel safe entrusting the surgical care of my 97 y/o mother to however, it was my good fortune to connect with Dr. Michael Van Vliet at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton. Dr. Pulikkottil of Denver was able to seamlessly refer us to his colleague, Dr. Michael Van Vliet. My confidence in Dr. Van Vliet and his team cannot be overstated and I consider both to be the “best and the brightest” in their field; they are as good as it gets. Should you have need of Plastic/Reconstructive surgical skills you will want to find yourself in their capable hands. I’m happy to report that in fewer than 24 hours after a challenging surgery, my mother is home and back to her “old self.” My trust was well placed and yours will be as well. We cannot be more grateful.

7 months ago, I was lucky that Dr VanVliet accepted the request by an Emergency Room physician to correct third degree burns on my left arm and thigh. The grafts have completely healed with invisible margins and are scarcely noticeable. I have been physically active for several months, playing tennis, and have no loss of function. From my experience, Dr VanVliet is a superb burn and plastic surgeon and has done an artistic job patching me up. Moreover he's a fine person who cares: On one occasion he went out of his way to contact and reassure my wife after surgery. I am grateful to him for his calling and also for all the talented and dedicated people at Blake Medical Center who support his skill and took care of me.

Dr VanVliet is a skilled surgeon and a kind and caring gentleman. Brian, his PA is positive and reassuring and always available to address any concerns. They’re a great team and so thankful to have had the good fortune to be referred! Four months of a complex Achilles’ tendon wound healing issue - but I’m back in business thanks to Dr V ! My experience with Dr Vliet was nothing short of incredible. As a golfer, I knew my days on the links were over after amputating my thumb on a table saw. I am now able to swing a club only 9 weeks after the accident. I would be remiss by failing to mention Gloria, Katrin, and Kelly. Patient care does not get any better than the way these three professionals treated me during my visits. As a former Hospital Board member, I would be proud to have them as staff members. When Dr. VanVliet walked in to see my partial thumb amputation from a table saw accident, I was surprised as he looked very young. In an attempt at humor, I asked him to go bring me an old gray headed doctor. The truth is, the end result could not have been done better by any doctor. I am recently retired and play golf . I truly thought my golfing days were over. He put the thumb back on, and I not only can move it, it also has feeling. 9 weeks later, I can swing a club. Thx Dr V

I SO wish I chose a different Dr.!! Pretty much EVERYTHING went wrong in my procedure. I was misled by his staff on a few very important things, my results are awful, and my insurance is still pursuing a Fraud, and Poor Standard of Care complaint. I've been advised to sue for malpractice.

Dr. Van Vliet is an phenomenal Doctor. What a privilege to have having him care for my adult daughter for the past 10 months. He has performed numerous and varied procedures on her with extraordinary results.It is because of his skill and caring that she has both of her legs. I found Dr Van Vliet through my insurance. I was happy to see he was a surgeon thats approved on the explant list on a trustworthy Facebrook group with over 50,000 members. I had breast implant removal with complete capsulectamy. I was a very difficult case and have health issues. I am extremely pleased with the level of care & concern I received from Dr Van Vliet and his staff. He was eager to help me as much as possible & is a perfectionist in his craft! I'm 4 weeks post op & feel much better!

Absolutely love Dr Van Vliet, his care is outstanding and always is there when needed. I'm a very nervous patient when it comes to procedures and he keeps me so calm the entire time. Would highly recommend him for any procedure.

I did not have a positive experience with Dr. Van Vliet. I found him to be arrogant and demeaning in his communication. His overly positive assessment of his ability colored his recommendations to the point his prognosis was not realistic. I would definitely recommend obtaining a second opinion before entrusting him to treat a serious burn or infection.

I recently had explant surgery (removal of breast implants) performed by Dr. Van Vliet. He was recommended to me by a trusted website, and from women on whom he had done the same surgery. From the first consultation, I found him to be caring and attentive. He listened to my concerns regarding the surgery, and informed me as to what I could reasonably expect the results to be. It has been 3 months since my surgery and I am so pleased with the results! I would recommend this surgeon to anyone

I was a recent patient of doctor vanviet I had a severe hand infection that required surgery from the first moment I met Dr vaniet I knew I would be in good care. I'm a new resident of Florida and any of my past Hospital experiences have been in Boston Mass which are renowned for world-class doctors I will say he's as good as surgeons get I am sure he could work anywhere else and be your best your best choice thank you so much dr. I went to Palm Aesthetics for a blepharoplasty consult. Right from the start, the office staff was very friendly and professional. Dr. Van Vliet answered all of my questions and concerns. I felt very comfortable and confident with his ability to perform the surgery. I am looking forward to my surgery.

Dr Vanvliet is one very talented caring surgeon, from my initial consultation to my post-op he and his amazing staff were very tentative and answer every question, concern I had. It is very hard nowadays to find an excellent doctor who is also tentative to his patients concerns and most important has great bedside manners. Dr. Van Vliet is an amazing surgeon and an overall great doctor. He is very focused on results and he delivers what he promises. I am transgender and I had a double incision mastectomy, while I can’t say that it’s something I want to do again, I am glad that I chose Dr. Van Vliet and his PA, Mike. They are a great team and make you feel very comfortable and are always willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

My husband got a bad burn and Dr. VanVliet was his doctor. We just love him! What a great doctor! Can't ask for anyone better! He took all the time we needed for questions asked and explained all that he had to do for him.. My husband had two surgeries each time he was a excellent doctor. We traveled 2 1/2 hours to have Dr. VanVliet care for him. We have no complaints!

Dr VanVliet is a Professional in every way,he talked with me before going into the OR and when i awoke he was in my room to let me know the surgery went well ,made sure i was confortable. Dr VanVliet is an excellent surgeon, excellent caring and very gracious. I just can't say enough good about this Dr, his staff is all great they all love him and that says it all. Excellent. I can not praise him, nursing, and his office staff (Brittney, Carol, Dianna, Jackie, & Patty) enough!!! .... I was referred to Dr. Van Vliet by another physician I work with due to his successful reconstruction results. Dr. Van Vliet has excellent bed side manners, is very attentive, does not rush your visit, explains in detail his technique, and answers every question/doubt. He is very honest and frank. In my opinion he undersells himself, but over delivers in his results.

Dr. Van Vliet is professional, personable and a very caring physician. At my first visit, I felt as if I had known him and his excellent staff a long time. He listens, he educates and walks you through the surgical process as part of the journey. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for the ideal surgeon for skill and bedside manner. As a retired Registered Nurse of 41 years, I have quite a selection of professionals to use for comparison.

Dr. Van Vliet is a rare find as he actually cares about his patients and listens to what it is they are wanting. I came in for a lipo + fat transfer and labiaplasty which I had been wanting for years. He not only did an excellent job, but continued to address my concerns (this is scary stuff) throughout the entire process. Could not be happier with the outcome.

Dr Van Vliet is by far one if the most amazing medical professionals i have ever met. He has been caring for my mother who has had to have several surgical procedures as a result of an infection. I've been so impressed with his knowledge, skill and amazing level of care for her. If it wasnt for him my mother would have lost her foot completely. I will forever be grateful for the medical care from such an amazing doctor who has cared for her as if it was his own mother. Highly recommend!!
