A very nice experience. No pain. Dr. Hazlewood explained everything in detail and was very friendly. His assistant, Alyssa, was also very nice. Highly recommend Dr. Hazlewood and his staff.

10/10 Experience. Had a root canal done and was not expecting it to be painless. Even the numb shot didn’t hurt. I avoided a root canal last year and it cost me a tooth, now am beating myself up for not going through with it. Dr.Smith was great as well as his staff.

My mother needed a root canal and has an apprehension to dentist or oral surgeons. Dr.Smith MADE ABSOLUTE SURE she was comfortable throughout the process. I knew she was going to have a good experience when his worse review was how he followed procedure lol you might think all these 5 stars are suspicious but he really does a amazing work. He doesn’t ask for reviews and is so humble. My personal favorite thing was the frame child’s art in his office. If you want to meet someone like Mr.Rogers book an appointment. I had a root canal yesterday. I had a very pleasant visit from the moment I walked in the door. The entire staff was very attentive, professional at its finest. I highly recommend. He walked through every step and continued to make sure I was comfortable.

1st time having Dr Smith for a root canal. He was very good, professional, personable, knowledgeable, and explained what he was doing. Office Staff and workers were courteous and friendly. I expected pain and discomfort like prior root canals, but never had any pain during this procedure. In fact, I almost fell asleep during the procedure. I've had several root canals done by various dentists but Dr. Smith was head and shoulders above them all. He was calm, positive and reassuring. He explained every step of the procedure which I really liked. The staff is equally as kind and wanting to make you as comfortable as possible. If you want the best, choose Dr. Smith!

Sure, you are thinking that there is no way a root canal specialist, an Endodontist could really have all 5 star ratings, well after my visit today and root canal, I fully understand why! He listens and explains what and why he is doing things and although novocain injections are not painless, his method is as close to painless without laughing gas that I have ever had! First he started with numbing gel then a small injection to start the numbing. Waited a bit and the the final injection which did the numbing, but did NOT hurt at all! And this process was used on all the sights that needed to be numbed, I think that there were 3. Did I mention that this was close to painless? I understand why others may not take that long to get the numbing done, because it does take more of the doctor's time, but from the patient's perspective, it was so worth it! I really hope that I never need another root canal done, but if I do, I will definitely go back to Dr. Micheal A. Smith. (Just so others know, I have had extensive work done in my mouth including oral surgery to realign both upper and lower jaws followed by 8 weeks of my mouth being wired shut. And this was after 3 years of braces. So I am not new to work being done on my mouth.) I have an unbelievable fear of dental work. My dentist perscribes me Xantax for a simple filling as I am so upset and nervous to have work done on my teeth that my whole body shakes in the dentist chair. Mind you the 3 perscriptions for .5mg of Xantax are the only 3 perscriptions I've ever had in my entire adult life, aside from the Amoxicillin perscribed after my first root canal (described below). Well, one day one of my back teeth (one with a crown) started throbbing. I had so much pain I didn't know what to do with myself so I made an emergency appt with my dentist. I was told i probably needed a root canal. Those words hit me so hard and my gut filled with fear, but I couldn't deal with the pain of my tooth anymore. I called Dr. Smith's office that day after my emergency dental appt per the recomendation of my dentist, at around 4:30 pm. They made an emergency appt for me the very next day but I didn't have Xantax to ease my nerves. I was in rough emotional shape (yes I'm a big baby when it comes to dental problems) with a horribly painful tooth when I arrived at Dr. Smith's office at 11 the next morning. My whole body was shaking in the waiting room waiting to be seen. I really belive that he and his staff picked up on my nervousness. I asked how painful this was going to be, and he assured me I wouldn't even feel it. I was treated with so much kindness and patience. He gave me shots in 3 different places in my mouth, obviously to numb it. My tooth was hurting me so bad so, as I'm assuming most dental doctors do, he waited for the shots to take affect before beginning with the root canal. He checked on me after about 10 minutes, and I was still in horrible pain from my tooth, so he gave me 3 more shots and waited another 10 or so minutes. Still, my tooth was hurting, but a little better, so he gave me a few more shots. I have NEVER had that many shots to numb my mouth, but it was worth it. He explained everything he was doing, why he was doing it, how long it would take, etc. I hate it when I'm having dental work done and my dentist wants to have a full conversation. I realize they're doing it to make people more comfortable, but I cannot tell you my hobbies with your hand and a drill in my mouth. Dr. Smith was not like that. He was short and sweet with conversation, none of which required a reply from me during the procedure, other than "are you still doing okay?". I had zero pain with this procedure, and due to infection in my roots that swelled, my bite was way off, so he readjusted that as well. It has been over a year since I've had the procedure, but I think about his and his staff's kindness and patience with me very often. It meant so much to a basket case in his waiting room. My oldest son has Autism and needed a root canal, this can make dental procedures extremely difficult and some dentists simply will not accept him as a patient. Dr. Smith and his staff were absolutely amazing in their care and treatment of him. Dr Smith took the time to answer all of his questions and listen to his thoughts on various unrelated subjects before beginning the procedure to ensure my son was perfectly at ease. During the procedure Dr Smith patiently explained and demonstrated each tool while constantly talking to keep my son engaged on him and not what was happening. Perhaps even more importantly (and for those who share the same fear this will matter most) he hid the needle from my son's sight and carefully ensured he never even knew it was being used. This may not seem like a big deal to some but this means the procedure took a little longer than the norm and at no time was anyone in the office ever acting as though that mattered. All they cared about was the care and comfort of a young man who had a hurt tooth. You're not just a bill or body in a chair to them. They actually care. Cannot recommend them enough. Dr. Smith was friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and honest. I went in to be evaluated for a root canal and instead of just going ahead and doing the procedure, he told me one wasn't necessary. I had previously called another doctor and he immediately scheduled me for the procedure without a consultation appt.; I'm glad I trusted my instincts that told me to go elsewhere. I highly recommend Dr. Smith.

Great experience! From start to finish, Dr. Smith really knows how to treat his patients. The staff was great as well! Would definitely recommend!

The Best there is PERIOD

Dr. Smith is the best! Having had previous terrible experiences with my dentists and anyone who worked with teeth, I was incredibly apprehensive to see him but he was very attentive, walked me through every step, made me comfortable, and made sure I had absolutely no pain or feeling! I would go back in a heartbeat to see him! He is by far the best!
