Michael E. Sayers

Dr. Sayers is kind, patient, and thorough. I'm comfortable with him and trust him. He includes me in all treatment decisions, rather than just telling me. He tells me about treatment options, possible expectations, potential risks, and asks what I prefer to do. He takes the needed time to discuss updates and what is needed. I appreciate his care.

I have been with Dr. Sayers for over 25 years and I would "go to the ends of the earth for him". He is one two doctors that I would wait more than 20 minutes for and that I will go over 10 miles to see.

Dr. Sayers is one of the kindest Doctors I have ever met! He truly has his patients' best interests at heart. I would not hesitate for even a second to highly recommend him. I sent a friend to him, and she was so grateful. Thank you Dr. Sayers!

Dr Sayers is very thoughtful, knowledgeable and kind. Doesn’t rush my appointment and is implicit in his explanations! #1 physician who is not only a jewel, but a needed asset to the medical arena.

If I could give this group a 0 I would! Because they are just about the only Rheumatologist group in town, they don't have to treat their patients respectfully! My husband works in Canyon City and has to take an entire day off to see this physician. He showed up 5 minutes late because he was getting our pup settled in. They denied him his appointment. The one other time he did see the physician., he said it just felt like a " Patient mill"! Makes me sad to see the lack of concern/care for patients in the name of $$$. Shame on you Dr. Sayers! update: Because I complained, Dr Sayers sent my husband a letter saying he was no longer going to provide care for him. I am so disappointed in this Dr. I thought the oath was to "first do no harm". Patients can sit in an office and wait a long time after their scheduled appointment time because they are so over booked, they can't possibly get their patients seen. Then instead of trying to make it right and making patients a priority over $, they just "fire" them. I feel so bad for folks who's arthritis is so bad that they have no choice in this town for care. I would encourage people to look at other offices before signing their care over to this group. If I could give this group a 0 I would! I have seen Dr Sayers since 1994 and I think he was the only one who figured out what was going on with me and what kind of medication I should be using to reduce my suffering. I have gone to Dr. Sayers for 23 years now. I think he is very thorough and that he does listen well. He is very up to date on all of the new arthritis medications and which ones may help.He is calm and conservative, so I appreciate that. If I have a flareup and I call they immediately either get me the medication I need or get me into see him. It can take a bit to get an non urgent appointment but if you get on their cancellation list, one usually comes up earlier.

I didn’t have any problem getting in at a reasonable amount of time. I liked him because he explains everything and did not give me the run around to keep me coming back all the time.

I called three times to obtain information before scheduling an appointment and left messages and call back information. No one had the courtesy to call back so I gave up and went to a better organized doctor.

Paulette, the new patient coordinator is unfriendly and completely rude. After two encounters with her and her snarky remarks and disregard for customer service I decided to find a more professional office.

He is ok to a certain degree from the technical side of things, but does not listen at all to the patient. He likes to think he knows everything about Rheumatoid Arthritis but lets face it, unless you have it then you don't know everything. After reading the reviews, I am glad I was not the only one he was confrontational with. He is very combative with patients apparently. I got into several arguments which made me very uncomfortable. Why does COS not have more places to go?!?!?

Initial appointment: Minor runaround from staff. As someone who has a complex medical history, and who is very diligent about self-advocacy, research, and coordinating my care, I felt belittled and passed off during my consult as someone with "too many issues". I've dealt with my disease for 9 years and several rheumatologists; I can easily discern who is willing to work with me and not be put off by patient resourcefulness. Some red flags, the rest remains to be seen...

Don't use this guy. he have too much patient and he will neglect you. I couldn't go to an appointment 1 time and when i try to reschedule it is 9 month later. 9 freaking month later. Hope you don't have anything urgent that can damage your organ. then they put me on a waiting list. then process to discharge me leaving me without medicine. when i talk to the manager of the place, waited for her rely for 2 -3 day and never got an answer. Take my advise and find someone else.

I Just Saw Dr. Michael E. Sayers I Do Not Recommend Him At All. when i walked in the door it seemed as if Every Comment was Confrontational and Argumentative. He Didn't Listen/Made It Out Like I Was Lying About Everything I Said Or Was Uninformed. you know the person who's been sick for a decade has proof of butterfly/heart shaped infections/scaring all over his body, and who is a researcher. i've dealt with a lot of doctors, i can determine who wants to help and who wants to be right.
