Does not care about patients. I had surgery December 1. Still in great pain. Doesn’t see you. Sends you to PA. His mother recommended him. So very disappointed.

I felt good about my visit Even though I have a speech issue when confronted a person with higher power or knowledge able, Doctor came in asked a series of questions, he had a copy of the X-ray taken he showed me the issue and what he wanted me to do, the nurse supposed to schedule me an appointment to the office in Tyler. Waiting for the call

Dr. Russell was arrogant and rude completely dismissive and uncaring. I regret having wasted time in his presence.

I spent less than 5 minutes with him after waiting 2 hrs to get back to see him. He was short with me, and acted like my back problem wasn't bad enough for him to bother with. He told me to strengthen my stomach muscles, and I could have injections, but it won't fix the problem. WTH. That's why I went to him to fix the problem. I don't recommend seeing him. Find another doctor who is more compassionate.

One of the top orthopedics in the nation and is a top surgeon.

Very professional and friendly! He includes you fully in the process of of your care and treatment. Very happy with my decision to come to Azalea and with Dr. Russell!

Was in an out of appt for MRI results very quickly. Dr. Russell was was friendly but did seem in a hurry. Had to request he return to room so he could explain the surgical procedure he said I need.

Great Dr. Dr Russell performed my surgery 21 years ago.. And like magic when I needed a Dr today the same Dr Russell was there.

I had surgery to remove a cyst from my sciatia and clean up of L3L4L5 disc. I had been having pain down my right leg from September to when I had the surgery in February. I am so thankful for Dr. Russell. For the first time in months I am without pain. If I ever need another surgery, he will be my first choice.

Professional, knowledgeable, direct, exactly what I was looking for.

Just beginning our journey to correct and repair whatever is causing my back and hip issue. Great first step.

Did a great job no more pain

I Believe Dr. Russell was God's human hand on operating on my back and I am very thankful to God and Dr. Russell that the surgery was successful

Always on time, staff attentive. Had back surgery and Dr Russell did a fantastic job...not only did it dimension my pain but the use and function of legs and hips vastly improved...8 weeks post op walking 2 miles a day.

Due to a degenerative disc disease, Dr Russell had to surgically perform a spinal fusion of my lower vertebrae’s. Dr Russell is an excellent surgeon.

I completely agree with Kathryn Fauss. I drove over a hundred miles to see him. I was referred to him by my primary care and orthopedic doctors for cervical stenosis. He spent all of 5 minutes with me and was very arrogant. Will be seeing another doctor, and would never recommend him to anyone! I get a reply that says, “I’m sorry you had a bad experience.” Really? If I could give Dr. Russell 0 stars I would have! He treated me like I was nothing to him! I’ve been in so much pain for 14 years and all he said was that there was nothing he could do for me. All he wanted was to get done with the appointment as fast as he could. He was not considerate to my feeling and he acted like he didn’t even care that I have been in so much pain for so many years. Was the best experience I had at a doctor's office. Doctor Russell explained what he was going to do.

I've been using Dr Russell for years. He performed my lumbar and cervical surgeries, and has helped me maintain. I brought my mom and dad from La and he was able to help my mother.

I have deterioration of the spine which means I have had to have a lot back surgeries. Dr. Russell has been my surgeon of choice because he has taken the time to explain what's wrong and what's required to put me back on my feet again. You are in good hands with Dr. Russell and I will continue to use him.

Dr. Russell performed major surgery on by back 2 years ago. I am 82 years of age and pain free. Before surgery I was in constant severe pain. Thank you Dr. Russell for a wonderful new quality of life.

My experience with Dr Russell was amazing. He performed both of my neck surgeries and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. Hopefully I will never need his service again but if I do, he will be the first doctor I call.

Staff very helpful and professional. Just completed my second and third procedure. No complaints. The hospital is also exceptional. Would absolutely recommend to others. I have been having pain management for 18 years for temporary relief. Hopefully I have finally found a permanent fix. Thanks so much to Dr Russell and staff.

Good, very informative . Yet, dispite the states relaxed masking policy, and no office mask policy posted, I was sternly 'recommended' for not wearing a mask and not accepting a vaccine , that has made many receptiants very ill. If there was sufficient concern why was the entire staff unmasked?

Very pleased with this visit. Through and the PA came in and explained the MRI to me and my husband! X-rays we’re done on neck and back standing up. Dr. Russell came in and explained surgery process and made me feel comfortable! They set me up for surgery and I feel better knowing it was not a long process! Very happy with my visit!!

Dr. Russell and his staff are great. They listen and truly care about me as an individual and not just another patient. I highly recommend him for any spinal surgery needs.

Dr. Russell has preformed two different surgeries to repair what other Orthopedic surgeons had done, one of them putting staph in my back and almost cost me my life and another leaving me with missing hardware that left me dragging one of my feet. Dr. Russell and his nurse Shannon and his PA Forest has gone above and beyond helping me get back to a more normal life. Highly recommend!

I would like to thank Dr. Russell and his entire staff for the great care they provided to me in the course of my Dec. 2020 two level spinal surgery. Dr. Russell and his team always were courteous, timely, and attentive to me and this resulted in a successful outcome and a revelation in my daily life. Dr. Russell was the most responsive treating Dr. I have ever experienced. He would listen and respond to all of my questions and concerns with seldom seen physician patience. Office and hospital visits were always on schedule and pleasant. Having a true expert for this is a nice thing to have when faced with all the fear and anxiety preceding the event.

Zero stars! I was referred to him by my primary and orthopedic doctors for cervical stenosis. Drove over 100 miles to see him. He spent maybe 5 minutes with me, and he was very arrogant. I would NOT recommend him to anyone. My doctor is sending me to someone else! ??
