Dr was very informative and compassionate. The staff was also great
Love Dr Rothberg. He’s always thorough, very nice, sincere and very professional. I have no complaints about my time spent with Dr Rothberg or his PA Christopher. Love them both! ????
Dr. Rothberg has treated me for over six years and as usual I left there today feeling so confident that I was getting the best care! Highly recommend him and his staff!.

A good visit as always
The staff was so nice and fast!
Visit on time , staff very professional. Looking forward to resolution of my elbow issues !
Very knowledgeable options given for my condition. Staff was great very accommodating and also very knowledgeable.
Dr Rothberg was great. Informative, knowledgeable and he took the time to help me understand my condition and recommended treatment options.
Met with Dr.Rothberg on 2.3.2023 at the Enterprise office. Very busy office for being new. He was very understanding, reviewed the new xrays and did a thorough range of motion on my rt Shoulder. Recommended cortisone injection limited exercise and come back in 3 weeks for evaluation. Highly recommend Dr.Rothberg. ????
Dr. Rothberg is truly a great surgeon, as a 53 year old former paratrooper who has beat his body up, I have spent the last decade in pain, Not anymore!!!! the surgery worked, the OT worked and the staff are also polite and professional. "Doc" I truly am happy and grateful, Thank You.
Sudden onset of Carpal Tunnel was promptly and thoroughly addressed by Dr Rothberg. The appointment and tests were quickly scheduled, a great relief to a vacationing Northerner who had just arrived for a 2 month stay. In my 81 years, I never had any hand and wrist problems, and Dr Rothberg's timely assessment, initial treatment and advice were a calming influence. Needed surgery and the recovery period, will take place in Westlake, Ohio when we return home in one month.

He is an awesome Dr, very caring and through. Explains everything in detail and listens to the patients needs. I would recommend if you need help with your hands.
Being a retired medical care provider, I know and appreciate professionalism when I see it, and I certainly was impressed with Dr. Rothberg and his staff. Dr. Rothberg took the time to explain my options, the treatment for each, and possible outcomes. This is what I did with my patients and I was glad to see someone who shared my approach to patient care. Dr. Rothberg did surgery on my wife's hand two years ago and the results were outstanding. I highly recommend, without reservations, Dr. Rothberg. Also, I had a knee issue treated last year at OAWF last year with great results. Great organization!
Had second appt. And was just as happy as the first. Dr. Rothberg is caring, listens and does not rush you. Three most important for a good relationship for doctor patient. Since I am from Boston very impressed he went to Tufts. If you need a hand doctor he is your man. Also whole staff is great.
Everything went fine. They looked my xray first. I felt that they really helped to treat my thumb which they said was a trigger finger.
Worst bed side ever, never met eye contact with me once! Brought in a Medical Asst to do his dictation and never introduced her or explained why she was with him. She also never spoke or acknowledged me! Was told to use gel on a cyst! This practice is full of old grumpy men..
waited over an hour and never saw dr.
This is a “should-ah, could-ah, would-ah” story. First, I should have worn gloves before handling old oak wood floor boards. After urgent care removed the ¼” thick splinter that pierced through my right hand little pinky, I repeatedly went to urgent care facilities to fight off infections. Finally, after a couple months of doing that, I called my family Doctor who referred me to Dr Michael L. Rothberg. The Xray didn’t show anything, so we tried a different antibiotic with instructions to return to him if the infection came back. Well, after one more urgent care visit and another round of antibiotics, I went back to Dr Rothberg, finally, and 3 pieces of wood were removed. The above was written for your enjoyment and I don’t mind laughing at myself. Dr Michael L. Rothberg is a congenial, no nonsense doctor, who on my first visit was able to cut through my loquacious history of what happened, as written above, and got to the necessary point of my reason for coming to him. He really is an excellent doctor, and I’m sure my 5 month ordeal would have been cut in half, or better, if I had followed the advice from the various urgent care places I went to, and followed Dr Rothberg’s instructions above. I hope I never have to go to an orthopedic doctor again, but if I do he will be the 5 star one I go to. I’m very thankful for what he’s done, and for the rehab department at Orthopedic Associates of West Florida (OAWF)! I have full use of my hand again! This is a “should-ah, could-ah, would-ah” story. Everything was great at the orthopedic associates. The reception area was nice and the receptionist was nice. I saw several people there including the radiologist and Dr Rothberg was very helpful, very kind and had a lot of what I call good common sense. I can certainly recommend him and his staff and the facility is quite nice also. The young man who put the cast on, Luis, was also attentive and did a fine job. What a great place!!! Staff is great and a big shout out to Angela she is wonderful and remembered me from last July from another office. Dr. Rothberg is wonderful and very caring and has a great sense of humor so glad I went there and finally got someone who would really listen and now I will get the help I need!!!
Everyone at this office was very nice. They took their time with me and tried to be as gentle as possible. Dr. Rothberg explained everything to me and ask if I had any questions. I would definitely recommend him and his team.

Very good Dr and facility went there for a broken collar bone they are taking very good care of me helped with the insurance paperwork
Dr Rothberg was great! And he explained everything to me and my options. Thanks,
Had a hand/wrist surgery performed by Dr. Rotherberg. I was prepared for days of of discomfort and pain. I have to say it was the easiest recovery I have ever had. Thank you Dr. Rothberg.
And I’m going back to Dr. Rothburg For my third issue on my hands, He has done a successful carpal tunnel operation, and a trigger finger that three years later is still feeling great. The doctor answers all questions, and is quite friendly and personable. I recommend him, and the office staff is great as well.
I was very unhappy with Dr. Rothberg. First, I waited for over an hour in the exam room. When he came in he ordered X-rays. I then, waited another hour and a half, before letting the staff know I had to leave by 5. Having arrived at 2:20. The Dr. came in, and quickly, briefly told me what should be done moving forward. He prescribed medications, not telling me what he wa providing. At 4:45 his assistant came into the room and said, you can go now. I did not know what medicines I was to take, the assistant said whatever the Dr. ordered has been called into the pharmacy. I called the pharmacy to find out what I was about to take, and he prescribed a medicine which I already take. Obviously he didn't look at my chart. He was rude, arrogant, yet seemed knowledgableIf he had looked at my primary care physician's records, he would have seen what my medicines were... I will not return to him. Not a pleasant experience, he is detached from caring about his patients.
Absolute great experience! I went in with chronic pain and numbness in my hand -carpal tunnel syndrome. A quick, and mostly painless, surgery later I have zero pain and zero numbness. Dr. Rothberg gave me full function in a hand that had been a problem for years. Thank you!!!
I like the way Dr. Rothberg communicates and gets straight to the point on what's needed. Very professional. His staff is very nice.

My experience with Dr. Rothberg was at first a bit scary because I did not know how bad my broken shoulder was. I did not know what to expect, or how bad my injury was. But I knew for sure that it was very painful. Dr. Rothberg was very, very nice and made me feel comfortable by the degree of Professionalism that he carried and had that down to earth Demeanor about him that I respected right away. I feel very comfortable with talking with him right away because I felt like he truly looked at me like I am not just another number, but as a person who he is helping. Fast forward a month or so... I had a complication with a pharmacy issue in which medicine was backordered... They gladly called the prescription into another pharmacy. I went to check on it and the pharmacy didn't have any record of me having a prescription there. After finding out that the pharmacy put the prescription on hold without notifying anyone, I was confused and aggravated kinda stuck in pain with no help, until a wonderful member of Dr. Rothberg's staff "Angie" got to the bottom of this issue for me (ON A SATURDAY OF ALL DAYS). I guess what I'm trying to say is it's the little things like going out of the way to do the best possible. Nevertheless, I wish I never had to meet any doctor or break my shoulder for that matter, but I am certainly glad that Dr. Rothberg and everyone in his staff are the wonderful people helping care for me and my injury.... I want to say thank you all so much for doing all you do for people... Thank you Doc. Thank you Angie. Thanks alot.......... Dr. Rothberg is the finest. After suffering with elbow pain for far to long, he was able to eliminate my discomfort where others failed. I am beyond pleased. Thank you so much. It’s wonderful to be able to sleep without pain. It’s terrific to do chores without pain. This is one very happy patient.
We were there for treatment of my wife's broken wrist. Everybody From beginning to the end of the appointments was courteous, friendly andprofessional. The same can be said for their physical therapy department. Can highly recommend their services. Dave
I was very pleased with the whole experience. The staff was courteous and very efficient and friendly. I did not have a long wait to be brought in from the waiting room. Always 1.5-2 hours behind schedule. Horrible bedside manor. See someone else.
I found Dr. Rothberg to be professional, knowledgeable, friendly and caring. In addition I appreciate his conservative approach to the care and treatment of my hands and wrists.
Very dissapointed,he barely speaks to you and makes not very funny jokes. I fell in May and since then he only takes xray and do not talks to you and explained your recovery. I have this pain in my arm that my OT stated I got tendonitis d/t the fall ,got an injection on my elbow and nothing happened. Try 3 times to get appt. with his office and nothing available till NOV. They want me to have this pain and nothing to be done. Please , I work in the medical field and this MD is not what it should be. Am getting a second opinion. Do not go to him, is a waist of time and money.
over the years we have been to most of the doctor's in this practice. Have heard good & bad of them all. Dr. Rothberg had a very friendly attitude towards me & husband. Tried to be very helpful with treatments and procedures. I would definitely go back , if necessary. The reason for 4 stars is the waiting time to see any of the Dr's in this practice. But, when you finally get in to see Dr. Rothberg, you have his full attention.
The staff, was great, and Dr Rothburg was caring, very knowledgeable, friendly yet professional. Thank you
Dr.Rothberg and his staff were very professional timely and courteous. I was very pleased.
Only waited 5 min to be taken into exam room. Staff was very nice. I had my shoulder X-ray and Dr. Rothberg evaluated me shortly after. He gave clear explanation and instructions on what the next steps are. All staff was pleasant and helpful.

Process of being new patient good. Dr. listen to my thumb issue of having trigger finger. Been dealing with it for 3 months. Did not want a shot but knew it was time. Had a good experience other then the shot in my hand since i hate needles. On the mend hopefully now.
Words cannot fully express my deep appreciation for Dr. Rothberg and his staff! I had the misfortune of breaking my dominant hand (falling off my bicycle) just before we moved across country – literally the night before I was to fly out to our new home. X-ray at urgent care revealed it was an angulated boxer’s fracture and would need to be realigned, but the orthopedic surgeon who saw me two days later (needless to say that next day flight had been cancelled) said it would be better to hold off and receive such a procedure from a doctor local to our new residence, as long as we could set an appointment ASAP. Miracle of miracles, my husband and I flew to our new home three days later, and the day after that is when I had my first appointment with Dr. Rothberg. He and his staff, including his nurse Paula, could not have been more accommodating and reassuring. As anyone knows, moving is already a chaotic period in a person’s life, but to be dealing with a fractured hand on top of that was definitely one stress to many for me. But even in my state of bewilderment, right away I felt secure that “my hand was in good hands,” so to speak. Dr. Rothberg was concise but also upbeat and sympathetic in explaining his assessment and the course of treatment we would be taking. It quickly became clear that he and his staff strive to be extremely meticulous and thorough, so as to do things right and promote the best possible outcome. At times the waiting room was quite the beehive of patients, but most of the time I was called in very quickly. I won’t say the experience of being in a cast for seven weeks, then having to rehab my hand was the most delightful experience ever, especially since I normally depend on typing as 99% of my job and just with that task alone had to learn how to use dictation software (I won’t go into all of the everyday actions that also had to be re-imagined with my dominant hand out of commission). But the one silver lining that kept my spirits up was believing that Dr. Rothberg and his staff were pulling for me, and ready to do whatever was needed to accommodate my needs, patiently and cheerfully. I wound up needing my cast adjusted twice, due to an inherent condition of poor circulation, and yet not once did I sense annoyance or “being put out” on anyone’s part. On the contrary, everyone went out of their way to make sure I was fully taken care of. Ultimately, my hand fully healed and regained total function, and there’s no doubt in my mind that I owe this to Dr. Rothberg’s expertise and dedication. Many thanks to him and all of his staff! What could have been a bad luck start to living in a new place will actually be a pleasant memory. Words cannot fully express my deep appreciation for Dr. Rothberg and his staff! I could hear him through the walls belittling his staff. He obviously thinks very highly of himself. Not a nice man.
Very bad bedside manner and rude. Go somewhere else ! The guys is not nice. When you are in a lot of pain the last thing you need is this doctor.
Please before considering this rude an arrogant doctor do some due diligence. This doctor refuse to accept the MRI report. The MRI showed a complete labrum tear. Rothberg stated the MRI facility was terrible. He would not accept the report. Instead of obtaining a new MRI after 4 months of no improvement in my shoulder he just used a cortisone shot. If a surgeon does not like an imaging facility he should optane a new MRI report. A surgeon should not just dismiss another medical finding that was clearly shown on an image.Take a little time and read through some of the other reviews. 2.7 stars is not a good review. Look into cases in which this doctor has been involved in lawsuit. See what you learn. Thanks Please before considering this rude an arrogant doctor do some due diligence. I was a patient of Dr. Rothberg’s. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a physician. Not only was he arrogant and condescending, but he also had an extremely inefficient support staff. Every time I left the OAWF office I was upset. On more than one occasion I waited two hours to see him and only got five minutes of his time. I thought it was just me. I arrived at the second appointment hopeful to have a different outcome then the first. After waiting in the waiting room for twenty minutes, then in the exam room for another ten, I was taken to xray(nice gentleman), then Dr. R walks in the room and says “what can we do for you?” I say “excuse me?” He says,” yes what are you here for today?” I say are you serious my shoulder is injured, what is going on? I thought you all were going to tell me what’s going on.” He says, “ Do you want my help?@ then rest of the appointment proceeded no better than that. He dismissed my injury told me he was not concerned about my pain and it was nothing a shot wouldn’t fix. Second appointment a month later schedule at first visit. I wait on. Waiting room for an hour and am greeted by rude RN who says” I cannot answer your question about how much longer you’ll be here, we’ve had a lot of difficult patients to deal with.” I have inaccurate BP readings as she is questioning me during the BP procedure and advises she can’t do much about it now, it’s nothing they are gonna report to the paramedics it is low enough and refuses to accurately retake it. I wait another thirty minutes. I’m still here waiting and have only returned because this is where my worker’s comp approved. I have no faith in his treatment. I am surprised Morton Plant Hospital backs this kind of treatment. I will be filing a complaint and looking for a way to fight the state to find a competent doctor. I’m disgusted. Best experience ever. The staff is super friendly and Dr. Rothberg is the best.

Dr. Rothberg was very efficient and able to diagnose the cause of the issue in the first visit.
Very prompt, efficient, friendly. Took the time to explain everything in detail. Staff very upbeat and friendly. Good experience!
Everyone was pleasant and informative. Felt safe with Covid restrictions. Doctor and staff were very attentive.

Dr. Rothberg was great during my visit! He took time with me and answered all my questions. Highly recommend!

Dr. Rothberg was very helpful spending time with me, listening to me patiently, and giving me treatment options. He was very patient and nice along with his staff.

New Year’s Day I had a bicycle accident which broke my right wrist, I called Orthopedics Associates of West Florida, by Morton Plant Hospital, I was connected with Dr. Rothberg. As soon as I met him I liked him immediately, he gave me my statistical chances of recovering, casting versus vs surgery. I really like the way he approached me a week or so later he was discussing more surgical options, Which he knew I was not emotionally or mentally ready for. This week I was able to adequately communicate to him and appeal to to him, I showed him pictures of my friends surgery which was very frightening and he understood I also showed him a video of me playing the piano and he understood, being a pianist that surgery could interfere with that talent, he was completely understanding, professional and cooperative, I really appreciate his candor and the way he communicates at least you know where he stands. The staff was absolutely amazing. I had one uncomfortable cast and right away they replaced it no problem. I have never had to wait there longer than five minutes. I meant to write a review for Dr Rothberg, when I first met him wasn’t happy with his stoic bedside manner, but after my wrist reconstruction surgery and office visits he grew on me not only on a professional level but also on a caring level. This was my third surgery and second surgeon who corrected my wrist, Dr Rothberg had reconstructed my left wrist and I am VERY PLEASED with my outcome and how quickly I recovered. I can barely see my scar and the way he reconstructed my ulnar looks remarkably like it was never shaved down to pea size. I definitely will recommend him to anyone with any type of hand problem.
He is helpied me immensely.
I was see in a timely manner, saw a P.A. and Dr. Rothberg. He diagnosed my problem and recommended cortisone injections and a brace. The nurse gave me the injections and explained the brace. A very pleasant experience. Have visited this practice in the past and always had a positive experience.
Horrible office and man. Cold, all about money and conflicting information. Not the slightest bit of niceness coming from him. Yuck is all I feel.
My experience with Dr. Rothberg was not a good one. I had trigger thumb surgery in February 2020 and still have numbness from what apparently is now carpal tunnel syndrome. I had the "trigger tome" technique which is minimally invasive, using only a small device (smaller than a pencil)but apparently it's risky with the median nerve being so close to the surgical site. Wish I had done my research prior; I would have opted for the open technique, which puts you out of commision for about a week. I wasn't even able to dress myself for weeks due to the pain this surgery caused. My hand was "throbbing" the night of the surgery, and of course couldnt sleep. After 2 days of this I called the office and they got me in the same day, at which time I was told of the CTS caused by the surgery. I was awoken at night with pain and burning for the next few months, and only over the last month can sleep through the night. However, my ring and middle finger still have numbness, burning, and tingling.
Thank you, Dr. Rothberg, for an informative and clinically helpful visit to your office today. During my visit I saw the nurse, the x-ray techs, the PA and Dr. Rothberg, then the nurse again. I was there for several hours, but my case was well researched and I felt well cared for by each person. My questions were answered and my initial reason for going was discussed, as I thought I might need surgery on my arthritic thumb. I have been seeing a rheumatologist and have had several steroid injections in my basilar thumb joints, but Dr. Rothberg suggested some of my trouble may be caused by the ligaments, and trigger finger. I ended up agreeing as my thumbs get "stuck" often. I was given an injection in each thumb which was well done by the nurse. I was also prescribed a 3-D brace for my hand to help rest the thumb, and Diclofenac gel for my joints. I appreciated that Dr. Rothberg did not want me to jump to surgery. If these treatments are not sufficient, we will then discuss it.
Great doctor and practice.
In the time of Corona virus, I was very nervous about making an appointment for a steroid shot in my left wrist. I was referred to Dr. Rothberg by my primary physician. I waited to see him for 35 mins and was not apprised of any reason for the delay, when I heard the patient in the next exam room greeting Dr. Rothberg. I was waiting in a very cold room with the air conditioning cycling on and off repeatedly. I was becoming more and more alarmed about exposing myself to possible Corona virus. The office will not allow anyone to accompany you to your visit, so my partner was waiting in the car in the parking lot. (Trying to find shade.) I walked out. This happened today. Have no idea if I will get my copay returned. This is not a time for over booking patients. Patients have a right to expect to be treated safely and fairly. Reading his other reviews, maybe I saved myself even more grief.
Ready to be treated liked dirt under someone’s shoe? This is the place!
