Dr. Michael Charles Rockwell

Dr Rockwell is my favorite doctor. He is a thoughtful and kind man with a sense of humor. He is not a pill factory. He involves me in decision making. I have been a patient of his for almost ten years. Most negative comments in the reviews are about the office staff and policies of Northlight Counseling, not Dr Rockwell.

Great Doctor and Staff. I am happy I found this office. Staff has been nothing but helpful and understanding. They are quick to respond and help. Dr. Rockwell is absolutely great. Very easy to talk to and I feel comfortable being under his care.

Booked first appointment in January, and was given date in mid March. A few days before the appointment I was told Dr. Rockwell was going to be out and would need to reschedule. When I called my appointment was rescheduled for April 23rd. Due to an issue outside of my control I was unable to take the call for the telehealth appointment but never received the e-mail invite like I was instructed I would receive. When I called shortly after the appointment time I was told I would receive a $60 charge and was treated as a new patient all over again and would not be seen until mid July. When I asked to speak to a manager to see about what other options I might have the receptionist told me I had been given all the options I would have and hung up on me. Probably not going to reschedule if this is how I am viewed as a patient by the office staff.

Fantastic Psychiatrist. Patient, thoughtful discourse, and provided me with all options available to me. It was hard for me to set up an appointment initially, because I was scared to, but I was very glad I did.

I truly feel that Dr Rockwell And his staff does not care about his patients at all. You cannot reach anyone in the office on the phone to talk to,Unless it is to make an appointment. You can leave a voicemail or Dr. Rockwell but he never returns your calls. If you are having any type of reaction to medication you cannot reach him even if it is urgent. Great service

He's been a good psychiatrist for me over six years.

Has helped me a lot when my pcp's would not. Let's you talk if you want or not. You'd better be making another appt for 3 mos out after your recent one though or, you will have problem getting your medication. Had to fight with office staff this last time to get it and I need for blood pressure issues that cannot be corrected any other way.

Dr Rockwell has uncovered a medical diagnosis that has been misdiagnosed for twenty years. While treating my condition, I finally feel like I am in control of myself and directing my life path. My gratitude cannot be measured. Dr Rockwell works with my poor time management skills and works me in to see I get the care I need. Dr Rockwell moves quickly and I could see how some might feel rushed, or not fully acknowledged. I am not thrilled with office and staff, however it is tolerable to get the experienced care I need. Dr. Rockwell is extremely knowledgeable and has helped me tremendously. He was able to diagnose me properly and correctly prescribe medication. I refer everyone to him as he takes the time to actually understand all that you are going through and works with you to get balanced.

I also really like Dr Rockwell including his quirky personality. He does a complete interview every time I see him. He listens and is not a pull pusher. I went for two years without medication while keeping regular appointments with him just in case I started to slip. He was never intent on prescribing unless I felt the need. I too have had some really bad experiences with the office staff in the past. The last time I was there I noticed new faces and a better attitude.

Very nice people

Staff is rude and not understanding at all. Called to cancel my appointment 23 hours before my appointment due to my father moving to a hospice facility. She said I had to get s note from the hospital saying I was there with my dad at the time of my appointment in order not to have to pay the $45 cancellation fee. When I asked the hospital to write me a lette for Dr. Rockwell that asked me If I was serious.

Dr. Rockwell is very intelligent and very competent. I feel very comfortable with him and he is an excellent doctor. His office staff, however, is horrible. Completely incompetent. I have consistently had problems with them. They are rude, unorganized and unprofessional.

I think Dr Rockwell is great. He is very knowledgeable and corrected my medications to find the perfect meds for my condition.

I LOVE Dr. Rockwell! They take Tricare! He is great at gathering necessary information, and offering very well thought out options for treatment. Not a drug or pill pusher, which I prefer, and I just enjoy seeing him and talking with him. He really cares and has the most awesome unique personality <3

I like Dr. Rockwell and was a patient for nearly two years. The problem is with the office staff. They are not competent. If you have the option of receiving your care elsewhere, I strongly suggest you do so. I would never recommend Northlight Counseling Associates to anyone!

Dr. Rockwell is weird, and not really helpful at all. I only went once and vowed to never go back. His office staff is unprofessional, unfriendly, and rude. I stood at the receptionist window for 10 minutes waiting to pay my copay, because she was TAKING A PERSONAL PHONE CALL AND EATING!!! They have billed me for appointments I never made. Never ever every going back.

The staff is very rude and immature. Important time sensitive documentation was lost or misplaced by the Dr.'s receptionist Tanya. Total attitude from Tanya, she is very incompetent. Lupe, the receptionist is very rude and felt it was here position to counsel me on my account standings. She needs to understand where her place is in the office..its NOT counseling... I will NOT be continuing with this Psyc. There was no continuity in care, no care plan implemented or followed, and the 15 min. meetings did nothing but drain $$$ from my pocket. The deal breaker was making an appointment to have important disability retirement documents completed and signed by the Dr. and was told by Dr. Michael Rockwell to fill out the documents myself and bring it back after making yet another appointment to have it signed..REALLY??? Getting any assistance from Lyndsey Clark the Office Mgr. was a joke.. The staff is very rude and immature.
