Superb doctor. Really listened to me and took the time to understand my history and what I had tried before. Also really explained things patiently and clearly. His office staff is wonderful too.

I'm a college runner at Brandeis University. I was having some problems with my toe from running. Just some over the counter orthotics would have been enough, but this doctor said we had to get his $400 orthotics. Scam.

Dr. Robinson was great. He healed my achy feet, explained why they hurt and then answered my questions about an unrelated medical issue. He also has a winning personality.

If you want to deal with a 1980's medical practice that is all about charging you a fortune for custom inserts, then this is your place. Good luck getting access to your medical records once you decide to go see another doctor!

Proffessional, quick , informative. Stress free. Great listener! Wants to know what I'm up to, each time I visit! His surgery, his advice and Attentiveness to my foot needs has enabled me to live a normal life, if there is such a thing. Today. Overall wellness very big with him.

I've seen Dr. Robinson for a bunion that required surgery and custom orthotics. He's pleasant, thorough, and has a sense of humor (something necessary when you deal with that many feet, I guess). He even took time out of his Thanksgiving to advise me on a recent Jones fracture.

First, ignore Marco's 1 star review. In our experience he always takes insurance and you can always do a co-pay with cash. Dr. Robinson is phenomenal. He diagnosed my achilles tendonitis partly as being due to a difference in leg lengths, which other podiatrists had missed. He then prescribed orthotics for me which took this into account and my plantar fasciitis and a.t. are greatly improved. When I needed orthotics for a pair of dance shoes and the usual hard orthotics wouldn't fit, he used a different style that did. His office is efficient are rarely keeps me waiting, and often will take me early. His list of famous patients is very impressive, but perhaps most important is that he is a sports podiatrist, so he won't say "if some activity hurts, don't do it". He may suggest slowing down -- run less far and gradually build up. He's a good listener and pays attention to his patients' needs and is genuinely interested in their interests. My internist referred me to Dr. Robinson because of hip and back pain resulting from repetitive stress exercise and a slight difference in leg length. The orthodics he gave me have been an instrumental part my recovery. I wish I’d gone to him sooner! He’s kind, caring and very professional. I can now walk long distances and stand for long periods of time painlessly. I highly recommend him! Dr Robinson is great!!! He is a very thorough and thoughtful practitioner. He listens intently and takes all issues seriously. He really wants to help you feel better! I see him in the Brookline office and it is always a very thorough and pleasant experience!!!

The only problem with this doctor is that he ask you for credit card numbers and despite of you have medical insurance he never going to attend you, that's is a insult to me and my medical insurance... I don't think so he is doing the right thing.

I hope this is not too long winded but it’s very important to me to write a good, comprehensive review for Dr. Robinson. A little about me. I’m an avid, passionate distance runner, training about 60 miles a week when I am at my peek. I’m also an RN, spending 8-12 hours a day (40 hrs/week) walking/standing on hard, tile surfaces. My feet can take a beating. I’ve been struggling with plantar fasciitis since mid-March (about 7 months). This can be a nasty, painful, potentially debilitating injury that can ruin your life. Mine has been uniquely stubborn. I did not have the characteristic morning foot pain that gets better with movement. For me, the pain was the opposite. Felt better not moving, then the more I walked and stood, the pain was awful. I was really discouraged. I’ve tried everything to manage the pain including for self-management including time off running and any physical activity; massaging with golf ball, lacrosse ball, frozen water bottle; calf stretching, massaging; deep tissue massage; OTC insoles (green superfeet and powerstep); icing; taping/compression socks; foot and hip strengthening with balance boards, resistance bands; Foot and hip strengthening with balance boards, resistance bands; different, more supportive shoes; night splints. I thought I would be cured when I checked into my PT, during which I received GRASTON and dry needing to both calves and feet. They have treated other injuries of mine. If you read online, this helps most people. However, to my disappointment, my foot pain was still there. I then read online and found Dr. Robinson and Sports Podiatry Resource after other podiatrists either did not accept my insurance or couldn’t get me an appointment for months. Dr. Robinson got me in the following week, took X-rays, and administered a cortisone shot to both feet. Additionally, he fitted me for orthotics. At first, I was skeptical for paying for the pricy custom orthotics. However, he gave me a straight forward, simple explanation as to why I need them. My feet are flat and I overpronate excessively. Dr. Robinson is a great listener; has a great “bedside” manner; gives simple explanations, and is readily available for appointments. Again, to even get in to other podiatrists, it can take months. The only con I have is location for me, specifically. His office is right outside of Boston and I live in Southern NH, so it’s a bit of a drive. However, it’s worth it. If you are an athlete and looking for injury prevention exercises, look online or see a PT. To date, my pain is much improved. I continue to massage my foot, wear my custom orthotics all the time, have experimented with shoes, continued to strengthen my feet, and have gradually increased my mileage. Do not be discouraged if your feet still hurt and you received a cortisone shot. He states it takes an average of 3 to 4. I have 4, may need another. Experience was awesome! Dr. Robinson is very professional, he figured out what was wrong with my foot right away and corrected the problem. Within 3 months my callus that became a wart (very painful) was gone, like it was never there! I highly recommend him to anyone having foot problems!

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Robinson. I went to see him after years of injury - with everything from the tendons in my feet, up to my lower back. I would readily recommend Dr. Robinson to all of my friends who are having continuous stress fractures or tendon problems, especially those who are athletes. Dr. Robinson is extremely professional and well-educated. I truly believe that the custom orthotics I had made have helped prevent me from getting injured in the recent months. They were the best purchase I have ever made.

the doctor only cares about one thing - money! he made me get expensive orthotics when i didnt need them - 400$. avoid this doctor. my wife got orthotics also that she didnt need. he decides to give 400 orthotics after one minute

Very clean office, plenty of parking at the meters on Beacon Street, and very friendly and welcoming staff.

I have been seeing Dr. Robinson for several years, generally visiting his office once a month for an ongoing issue. I find he is always attentive to my needs and has my best interest in mind when tending to me. I also always enjoy our conversations while he's seeing me. We talk about the books we've read, movies we've seen and whatever else seems to be interesting us that day. I find that Melissa is also really wonderful. I have had a great experience with Dr. Robinson. Dr Robinson performed my bunion surgery. This required a few appointments upfront, then the surgery, and now some follow up appointments. Throughout the process, he has been very clear in sharing what he was doing, exactly what my foot was doing and exactly where I was in my progress. Because of him, I feel very educated about my foot. This gives me a lot of peace of mind! Also, I had very LITTLE pain. He did a good job with the surgery and provided me with how to care for my foot so that I didn't experience pain. Well i started seeing Dr Michael Robinson several years ago due to a severe foot injury. His attention to detail and his great persona frankly kept me from having a major problem . Since im diabetic, foot care has to be done right and in a timely basis. His billing and charges are more than reasonable and the office staff cant be beat. I highly recommend this wonderful doctor for any foot issues you may have. He gives his total attention to your problem and does not rush through the appointment. He is beyond thorough. The office staff and office is just wonderful and the office is very warm and inviting. I have seen him for 2 office surgeries and could not be more pleased. He is the podiatry king! He also has such a wonderful sense of humor!

Dr. Robinson is thorough in his approach to determining the cause of the problem, explains the condition in a manner which is professional and which help me understanding why it is occurring. His treatment are focused on getting better but with an approach toward prevention of reoccurrence. I have known Dr. Robinson for many years and am aware of his many accomplishments treating many professional athletes and college and even Olympic athletes as well as the average weekend warrior.

His work with professional athletes, held in high esteem, enabled them to continue in peak form. Recognized by professional health certification boards for his work. I think Dr. Robinson is a superb diagnostician, with a better track record than the other podiatrists that my wife and I have used, and the orthotics that he's made for me have been flawless. Although his manner is brusque at first, and years ago I did have some problems in dealing with his office, he has given me very good care through the years, and I trust his judgment.
