A GREAT DOCTOR! When my husband, Ed, suddenly became ill, had Dr. Reilly not insisted that I immediately go and buy a pulse oximeter, and then quickly text him the results upon first use, Ed may not have survived that night. Quite literally, Dr. Reilly called within minutes of my text; insisting we go directly to Good Shepherd hospital (Barrington) ... What resulted, was Ed having a 13-day stay in ICU. I was so sick that I was unable to work for 3 years. I saw lots of doctors in lots of cities. The first thing I noticed about Dr. Reilly was that he was willing to take the time to fully understand your history and to be sure that you understood the reasons behind your problems. He is not a pill pusher or get them out of the office in 5 minutes kind of Dr. I am back to my usual self and happy with my family and working again. There are not many doctors out there any more like Dr Reilly. He takes the time to listen and your not treated like a number. He and his staff are very patient focused. I have been a patient of Dr Reilly’s for many years and I have no complaints only compliments. So glad we are under his care!

Over the last three and a half years under Dr. Reilly's care, I have lost 50 pounds and feel younger than I have in years. I also take significantly less medication now. Also, my wife has lost some weight and weened off of several of her medications as well. Dr. Reilly takes his time with his patients and really invests himself in our well being. I have been seeing Dr Reilly for almost 10 years. He is patient and compassionate. He takes the time to listen to patients' concerns and works to collaborate with patients as opposed to dictating and lecturing. I never feel as though he is rushing to the next patient and trust that his recommendations are specific to my situation.

I found Dr Reilly by word of mouth. I was excited to get in at first. The office agreed to take my infant as well as myself. After our visit, I realized my baby was not measured or weighed. After the initial visit, I didnt have much confidence in him after so many points were missed. Not so much for babies. For adults, I feel he is well versed in natural therapies. I have never been with a physician that spends so much time with his patients. He is extremely thorough using blood tests and a complete profile. Dr Reilly is one of those rare doctors that can navigate both holistic and traditional medicine and come up with a customized approach.My 34 year old organic hairdresser was pretty much bed ridden. She stated she spent 2 days "being treated like a lab rat" at a prestigious Chicago hospital and they still were unable to diagnose her problem. I recommended Dr. Reilly and within one week he diagnosed her, prescribed a regimen specific to her needs and got her back on her feet AND doing my hair!

Dr. Reilly has been my physician since 2003. He is always available to me and always gives me the necessary time to talk our way through treatment alternatives. His referrals to specialists, when necessary, are outstanding. I particularly enjoy his empathy, ability to listen, and kind manner. I am very grateful for all the assistance and good advice he has provided through the years.

Dr. Reilly has seen every member of our family and detected ailments that other doctors had not found for years in annual physicals. We have been seeing him for nearly ten years. His patient "currency" is very different than you will find in standard western medical practice today. What is meant by currency in the Dr-Patient relationship: active listening skills, compassion, quality time (waiting for an appointment is worth it -- you will understand after your first visit), accessible, full-spectrum of western meds vs holistic/naturopathic considerations which results in tailor-made advice that helps you feel whole again. I see a few bad reviews here for Dr. Reilly (well, not about him personally, but about his costs and office staff). Yes, he switched to concierge service costing $25/mo. Yes, you will most likely have some wait time in his office, possibly up to an hour. Yes, some of his office staff can be brusque and are distinctly un-likeable. I was a patient of his starting a number of years ago and stopped seeing him for a period of time, because I didn't like having to wait at every appointment. After much searching for someone else with equivalent knowledge and patient manner, I went back. I'm willing to overlook the issues with his office staff and wait time because he's such a great doctor. When I finally make it past the waiting room, he doesn't rush AT ALL, and truly listens to my questions and concerns. It's obvious he reads a lot in order to stay on top of current research. He isn't a pill pusher who gets the bulk of his knowledge from pharmaceutical companies, unlike many doctors these days. He probably isn't for you if you think the answer to your health problems is identification of the correct pharmaceuticals to suppress your symptoms. But if you prefer instead to address the underlying causes, so you can (hopefully) live a healthy pharmaceutical-free life, he's your guy. Dr. Reilly is the best Dr. I have ever had. He takes the time to sit and LISTEN to me without just throwing medications on me. It's so great to have a Dr who approaches illness in a holistic way (while still not derisive to meds when needed). I feel very grateful to have him as my physician, and I recommend him very highly!
