I just got the email of Dr Ramsey’s retirement and I am so devastated to see him go. He was my angel on Earth when I had not one but 2 spine surgeries from him. Each time I’ve been to see him, he has been an absolute doll. Treating me like a human and not just a patient number. Dr. Ramsey was a lifesaver and still is to me. Before my 1st surgery, I could barely walk bc the pain was so bad and I had almost no strength in my right leg. One he completed my surgery I was walking that night. Getting from the hospital bed to the bathroom and having all my strength back and NO PAIN!!! He literally put me back together so I was comfortable. I have had the luxury to say that I was able to witness first hand a very special man who truly loved making his patients feel very special. He treated me as if I was the only patient he had and you DO NOT GET THAT TODAY. Dr. Ramsey, you are HEAVEN SENT and I will truly miss you since you are leaving! Well I am a complicated patient and a pain, I am sure, but we are trying to get me fixed, I trust him. Explains everything very well, I understand alot. Not sure why I have to be that one patient but then there is one in every office for sure. I would recommend him to anyone. I entrusted the care of my 17 year old daughter to him. Great doctor. He listens to what you say and figures out the issue is.

Excellent doctor. Listened to what I had to say about my symptoms and discussed treatment options. Would recommend to family and friends.

Dr. Ramsey is an exception physician. He always asked questions and listened to me as a patient. He took the time to explain his strategies for care and the reasons for his decisions. I highly recommend him to my friends and family.

Stay away from this man! He absolutely lied to me about a radiologist report that resulted in an unnecessary surgery. I had a spinal fusion from another doctor. After a year of continuing pain I went to Ramsey (it’s hard to call him a doctor). He sent me to a radiologist for some tests. Ramsey told me the radiologist said a nerve was pinched by the fusion hardware and it should be removed. I didn’t see the report. A year later, still in pain, I obtained the radiologist report and returned to the first surgeon. The first surgeon said the report said NOTHING about the hardware impinging on the nerve and said “I have no idea why he removed the hardware.” His other comment about Ramsey was “Don’t let anyone else go poking around in there like Ramsey did.” Ramsey is the prototypical arrogant, full-of-himself, “I am surgeon: I am GOD” type. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Set me up for surgery after a herniated disc. After the laminectomy he knew he took too much disc out and was banking on a second surgery of a fusion. Do not be fooled by his beside manner!

Can I leave zero stars? He was ready to gut me like a fish and fuse my spine together from the front. I sought out a second opinion from the Plano Back Institute, they told me immediately that I was NOT a surgery candidate and that physical therapy would help me. It certainly did. Stay away from Ramsey!!!

Firsts, I liked his manner. He came in friendly and inquired; he listened to me rather than just looking at the MRI and telling me. Second, he put together what I had said and what he saw and explained he recommendation in a manner that I could understand. Third, I went to him for a second opinion after seeing another orthopedic surgeon. The first surgeon wanted to do significantly more surgery on my back with a much more extensive recovery. Dr. Ramsey didn't want to do more than necessary.

I have had lower back pain for 42 years and tried all kinds of treatment. Dr Ramsey had done two successful surgery's on two of my family members so I started going to him treatment and decided to let him try surgery to fix lower back. He did the surgery the next day I was up and walking and the pain was gone. I have walked a mile a day for the last month with no issues. I would highly recommend Doctor Ramsey if you are at the point that the pain is to much. He is great surgeon.

Dr. Ramsey is an excellent surgeon. He recently did a surgery on my back in the lumbar area. I had compressed my vertebrae by lifting a very heavy refrigerator to the point that I was loosing feeling in my legs and some pain in my back and hips. Dr. Ramsey did the surgery and I was back to work driving in 8 days. I am very thankful for Dr. Ramsey and the great results!

Dr. Ramsey in my opinion literally "Walks on Water". He took my case which was a total mess due to another surgeon and 100% fixed my neck. I have 4 artificial disc in my neck and as of yesterday's x-rays, and how I am able to function as well as how well I feel, Dr. Ramsey is the BEST!!! I know have full movement in my neck, the migraines are minimal and I can literally feel myself improving each day. Thank you Dr. Ramsey, you have shown the light at the end of the tunnel.

Dr. Ramsey is compassionate and truly cares for his patients. He went above and beyond treating my son's urgent back injury. He called me back on a Saturday and did emergency surgery on Sunday due to the severity of the injury. He is the only doctor I know that puts his life on hold to help his patients. I highly recommend him and his staff to anyone.

Dr. Ramsey is the guy you go to when you are in severe pain, worried about your future and need honest answers. He took the time to give me a real evaluation of my options and what to expect. I can now walk and stand like I did years ago.

What can I say about Dr.Ramsey alll except he is absolutely amazing I just love him. After going from Dr to Dr ,Dr.Ramsey was able to find out what was wrong with me. He and his staff are always there to help. If I had to do over I would chose Dr. Ramsey first. Thank you for all you done you are the best !

dr. Ramsey is an awesome doctor he's experienced caring and kind with a great personality he certainly knows what he's doing I have had two back surgeries with him and I adore him please check him out

Dr.Ramsey is a skillful, experienced and caring doctor, he spends time with the patient to explain the procedure and what to expect after surgery, I was out of the hospital within two days after the operation, with minimal pain, I'm writing this while recovering from the neck surgery, and I'm doing great. Thanks for doctor Ramsey and for the caring staff he has.

Dr. Ramsey and the staff at West Texas Spine has been awesome throughout my surgery and recovery.

I recommend Dr. Ramsey to anyone needing surgery. He is a very skillful surgeon. He recently operated on my mom. Everything went great. He was very professional and caring. His staff was excellent, they were kind and very helpful. Dr. Ramsey and his staff went out of their way to to accommodate my families needs.

Dr. Ramsey not only has the knowledge, skill, and experience a patient looks for in a surgeon, he demonstrates a caring for that patient. He spends time and effort to make sure the patient fully understands the procedure, then he and his staff do their best to make scheduling, the procedure itself and follow-up as smooth as possible. Back surgery gave me an immediate relief of pain with minimal recovery time necessary.
