My partner was given a referral from Whitman Walker. WW has been using the practice of sending the referrals to her email so she could fax directly to the doctor. This doctor's staff was extremely rude to her and told her that they would not allow her to provide the doctor's referral. They would not even speak to her unless WW faxed the info directly. I think this is discriminatory and prevents access to medical care, especially in a pandemic. It's just a tactic to make sure the doctor doesn't get too many new patients, I guess. Not impressed. Simply put, his demeaner and "bed side manner" is one of true empathy and compassion for the pain and suffering of his patients. He TRULY listens, he TRULY takes his time, and he TRULY provides a level of empathy rarely seen in the medical profession today.

I have had lower back pain for several years and had to have 3 back surgeries. I still was having lower back pain so Dr. Poss suggested have my nerves burned alone my spine. Well I had it done and I am so glad I did for the first time in years I don't have any pain. Dr. Poss is a wonderful doctor, I would recommend him to anyone that had pain.

Dr. Poss is fantasty physician. Sadly, he is retiring next year sometimes. HF-10 something we can look into. Also Dr. Poss will look more information than HF-10. He is so sweet man. Wishing you and your family very Happy Holidays as well. Kira

Dr. Poss was wonderful! He made the entire process painless and easy. His x-ray tech was awesome and super friendly in the treatment room. The tech who was with me before and after procedure was really sweet and made me feel at ease! I would definitely send a friend or family member here.

I wasn't thrilled to undergo an epidural, however, Dr. Poss was extremely patient, taking the time to answer all my questions and concerns and gave me reassurances. All went well, thanks be to God. I am extremely impressed with the doctors and staff of VA Brain and Spine. Professional expertise combined with excellent patient concern and rapport.

Dr. Poss is very personable. He explained the reasoning behind the three options available to me.

My first visit for evaluation was with Brian and Chantel, they both was amazingly knowledgeable and informative and diagnostically excellent. I am probably one of the more nervous patients when it comes to procedures of the spine but everyone, from reception to nurses to Anthony the tech and Dr. Poss himself were greatly calming and reassuring -- and incredibly competent. The procedure went exactly as predicted and as it proceeded Dr. Poss explained what he was doing, from beginning to end.

Dr. Poss was very caring and professional. He told me everything he was doing during my back injection and was extremely gentle. He's done injections twice and was extremely knowledgeable in my condition. His staff was very friendly and helpful and talked to me like I was a person. Thank you to everyone at VA Brain and Spine Center for all your help.
