Dr. Pickens was my son’s GI dr after he was born prematurely. He always went above and beyond with his care. I cannot say enough about him and the care that he provides. He is a down to earth Dr and knows exactly what he is talking about!

Why can’t we leave and honest review? That doesn’t make any sense. He misdiagnosed my child. Instead of getting her genetic testing, he forced meds and high calorie formula and an NG tube down her nose making her sicker. Even after my breastmilk was tested at 32 cal an ounce. For 9 months my baby suffered. I switched doctor from him and Lois Kaiser(dietcian) and they pulled tube and we got approval for genetic testing and baby has Turners Syndrome!! Instead of finding the root cause, he was trying to mask the problem!! Turners causes slow growth! He accused my family of starving my baby and had CPS out twice!!! Absolutely sickening! I wouldn’t recommend him to a single person!! He should not be helping IUGR preemies.

Would never ever recommend. Claimed to put orders in for swallow study and I called several times to schedule it even though speech therapist said we shouldn’t do one, I followed his recommendation and called to schedule and they said there were no orders. But then he told social work that I refused to schedule it as well as refused reflux meds as if it was a life saving medication for my baby. Instead of finding the cause of her slow growth, he claimed we weren’t feeding her. It’s my fifth child! He’s new and Seattle Children’s should be embarrassed they hired him. He verbally abused me as a mom and caused unnecessary medical procedures and trauma to my baby. As well as his nutritionist Lois Kaiser. He has clearly never worked with IUGR preemies. They were setting my healthy baby up to be a diabetic and obese in her adult life. They lie to make themselves look good and it’s horrible. I wouldn’t trust them ever!!

We love the team at warren peds GI. They go above and beyond, quick to respond and want to get to the root cause. Their bedside manner is top knot I and really listen to me.

I cannot recommend Dr. Pickens & his staff enough. They are amazing. Dr. Pickens really cares about my daughters journey of healing and is willing to look at natural remedies as well as medical. He is balanced and so incredibly knowledgable. I’m grateful he’s our doctor.

Dr. Pickens was instrumental in saving our son’s life. We are grateful for his kind, compassionate, intellectual management of his health. We miss him in Tulsa and would love to know where he is now.❤️

Dr. Pickens is the best and most caring doctor you will find. I am guessing that his mission in life is to help as many kids as he can. He is a great listener. He is so knowledgeable and has helped my son with so many things even beyond just GI. From people I know who work with him, they say he is constantly trying to learn more. I have met about 8 friends or acquaintances who use him as well and they all say the exact same things. I have never once felt rushed in an appointment. I highly recommend him! Dr. Pickens was the doctor who diagnosed my teenage daughter. She is a very strong willed child and was not having it. She was going to do whatever possible not to have this diagnosis change her life. Dr. Pickens understood her concerns and made her feel comfortable and didn't request any unrealistic things of her. He let her be herself, with of course the agreement that if there were any concerns that she would make the adjustments needed and keep him informed. They had a great relationship and we were sad to see him leave, when he moved.

At first he seemed very promising and we thought he was going to do everything he could to find out what is going on with my son. Now it is 4 months later and we are no closer to a diagnosis. My son is getting worse and is in a ton of pain. Nothing is being done at all. I really thought Dr. Pickens and his PA Molly would help us, but I know now that isn't true. Great doctor who listens and also explains things in a way I can understand and I've always felt he really cares about my babygirl. The nursing staff has been great too!

We’ve seen 6 GIs in 3 cities and Pickens is my top pick. Calm, easy-going bedside manner and works to connect with my anxious kiddo and digs hard to solve our persistent symptoms. Couldn’t ask for a more thorough and kind doctor.

Can not recommend Dr. Pickens & Molly enough. I have never had such faith in a team of doctors to keep my little man on track. Our case is complicated, but he has never once wavered in helping me advocate for the very best care for my son. Thank you Dr. Pickens!

Dr Pickens is an amazingly gifted Pediatric GI. We were blown away by how thorough and detail oriented he is. We were transitioning our care from OKC to closer to home when a severe and unexpected flare-up sent us to the ER before our scheduled appointment. Dr Pickens seamlessly handled our ER visit and CT Scan by keeping our OKC doctor in very close communication and impressed us when, almost a month later, we finally met for our appointment, we didn’t have to remind him about that visit - he already had the scans and visit pulled up and was well-versed on our case! We had our first scopes procedure today and I watched as with each room visit he provided the same unrushed and prioritized individual care to each family before us. Something as seemingly insignificant as holding an anxious hand and offering encouragement prior to anesthesia matters greatly when you are working with pediatrics. He is gentle and you can clearly see this man is at home in this field. I feel very confident in trusting my child to his care. Dr Pickens is an amazingly gifted Pediatric GI. I can not say enough good things about this DR. He was my special needs sons doctor sine he was less than a month old. We continued care with Dr Pickens untill he moved back home last year. My son is now 9 years old and we miss him terably. He was by our side when we found out the hard way, though a precudure that my son has a bleeding disorder. His intestines filled with blood and shut down. My son was hospitalized for 3 weeks with a PIC line and NG tube. We were scared. But Dr. Pickens came in on his day off and checked on Liam. He stayed with Liam through everything. He even helped recommend witch specialists and even pediatrician would work best for our son! We just had another long stay in the hospital my son had complications after a surgery. We struggled with other doctors and nurses, that did not know our son well and it was difficult and awful. I know things would have been different had Dr Pickens still been here. He was the most amazing Dr we had ever known. Come back Please

Incredibly unprofessional practice and lacks the community mindedness and empathy we were looking for in a doctor. We literally arrived at 10:16am for a 10:15am appointment and they were unwilling to see us because we were (1) minute late referencing the signs “posted” on the wall. An appointment we had waited (2) months for as well. Kids require flexibility. What if we had to take public transportation or we lived an hour away. What does it say about a practice and group of doctors who do not hold the moral fortitude, especially when working with kids, to understand sometimes things happen and we as parents are just trying our best. It would be my strongest preference not associate with a doctor or practice who holds these views and I recommend other do not as well.

Dr. Pickens is the kind of doctor that gives a tired mama a hug. He made sure we had a way to contact him in case something urgent came up. After a bad endoscopy, he spent 10 minutes drawing me a diagram of the treatment options for my son. He has lifted my non-ambulatory child onto the exam table for me, to give my back a little break. He's let my kids play with his stethoscope, and called me personally to give me medication options and lay out the potential risks and benefits. A GREAT doctor

It's difficult to find the words to describe just how incredible Dr. Pickens is. He's the gold standard that other physicians aspire to be like. There are 2 parts to being an outstanding physician: being the most knowledgeable in your field AND having the compassion and connection with your patients. He has both. As a parent, I don't trust physicians easily. I trust Dr. Pickens with my kids 100% without reservation. He is simply the best.

I’m a high maintenance mom with a lot of questions. I love that Doctor Pickens patiently answers all my questions and doesn’t shy away from me doing my own research. My daughter Bug has been sick for five years and previously had seen a GI from Seattle Children’s with not great results. Although she still had a long road a head I am grateful Dr Pickens is along for the journey. I wouldn’t take my children to anyone else.

Dr Pickens has been our grandson's doctor from birth to 3 1/2 years. We would never take Jack to anyone else for his gastro care. Jack was very ill as an infant and Dr Pickens got us through those times with compassion and excellent care. Jack is now a healthily, thriving youngster. Dr Pickens is an excellent doctor with a wonderful bedside manner. He always addresses Jack directly and makes him feel important. The clinic staff is also terrific. We highly recommend Dr Pickens!!!

I absolutely love Dr. Pickens. I have been seeing him for over 3 years. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and reassuring. He takes the time to explain what is going on so you aren't left feeling confused. I have never had any worries going to see Dr. Pickens as I know he does his very best to help me every time. I highly recommend him, he takes great care of his patients.

He's easy to talk to and very knowledgable. He involves parents on making desions. I feel very confident that my child is getting the best care.
