Thoughtful and caring. Very knowledgeable.

One of the most unprofessional Physicians I have ever seen. In all of the office appointments I attended, he was never earlier than 2 hours late. I had to miss work and used paid time off a number of times because a 1 hour appointment turned into 3 hours I could never get back. His time management is atrocious and all of his secretaries expressed that they know this is an issue and that numerous patients have filed complaints. If you have nowhere to be and do not mind waiting 2-4 hours in the waiting room for a routine visit, then by all means visit this physician. Lastly, when I needed a surgical operation, Doctor Payne gave me the time for when I would be in an out. I ended up waiting SEVEN hours with an IV in, freezing cold, in a hospital bed, alone. Any time I asked for updates, his nurses and assistants exasperatedly expressed how terrible his time management is. Do not visit this physician. I had 4 different appointments with Dr. Payne over the course of a year and a half. For every single appointment, he was at least an hour and a half late. The waiting room was full of patients he still had not seen. Twice, I had to leave after waiting for an hour to go back to work since I had left during my lunch break. His secretaries noted that this is a common occurrence for him. He books 20 minute appointments then takes over an hour for each which is very unprofessional. When I got my colonoscopy, he was 5 hours late. I had a scheduled time and I was left with an IV in, not allowed to eat, 5 hours later than my scheduled time. His care is good and he is detail oriented but unless you have plenty of time to spare, I would think twice before making an appointment to him.

Very kind and patient. Did an excellent job of explaining my condition in a way I could understand. Highly recommend.
