He was Amazing :)

Great, competent physician. Totally trust his ortho exams. But pain management, oh hell no! He told me he could “only prescribe drug X” (non narcotic) 2 days after a complete bone fracture. I’ve had multiple bone fractures and have never been subscribed such a low grade useless drug!!!! If I need surgery, it won’t be with him! Too scared of having inadequate pain relief

I had a spiral fractured fibula and broke the outer ends of the tibia, such that it displaced from my ankle and required a steel plate and ten screws. Within one year of surgery I was running half-marathon competitive races.

I will never see this man again. Right knee surgery on Nov 11 2020. 3rd day in the hospital I didn't know who I was, my husband, why I was in the hospital. For 3 days I remember nothing. They tried to tell me it was withdrawals from xanax and not taking it. Not true because I don't take that med every day. I think he overdosed me on fentynol. I will never see this man again. I broke my Fibula and tore tendons and ligaments in my ankle. Messner and his staff at UC Health in Woodland Park provided me with exceptional care. I was treated in a timely and professional manner but everyone involved was personable, attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. I have lived in cities across the country and never has a healthcare staff instilled in me more confidence in their ability than Dr. Messner, the anesthesiologist, and nurses at UCHealth in WP.

My Husband was having pain in is knee for a few years. He went to Dr. Messner and he knew immediately what was wrong. He did surgery and he hasn't had any problems since. You would never know that there was anything ever wrong.

Verry good great staff

Not forthcoming issues.

Dr. Messner replaced my knee in 2011, five years ago. I endured unrelenting pain for nearly 3 years. Messner refused to take blame, refused to open the knee again to look for the problem. After 3 years, another surgeon opened the knee, found obvious surgical screw-up. Second surgeon had to totally replace Messner's work, and deal with the mess that Messner had left behind. After 5 years, the knee still limits me and gives me pain. I blame Dr. Messner for this. NEVER AGAIN will I see him.

Dr Messner did carpet tunnel surgery on both of my wrists and elbows and did my wife's knee. He is a great surgeon and his office and surgical staff are the best. Dr Messner works collaboratively with the patient and never talked down to either myself or my wife. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again in a heartbeat.
