When I noticed an unusual health concern I immediately contacted my PCP. What I did not expect was Cancer. It took me awhile to wrap my head around it when I was diagnosed. But swift action took place and my Dr. McCollum's office was recommended because "he's the best". And those recommendations were correct. This office has ALWAYS been kind and caring and professional. Dr. McCollum has a very cordial and professional manner. And, he and his team of professionals are VERY thorough. I felt "safe" and my procedures and surgery were explained in detail. No question went unanswered. I would highly recommend him to anyone in search of an Oncologist you can place your confidence in as a qualified and specialized health care cancer provider.

I saw one of his associates . She was prompt and professional but I felt she cared.

I was treated with respect and compassion. All were pleasant, patient, and attentive to my needs. I loved receiving the folder with pertinent information given to new patients. It kept me from feeling stress. All contact calls to guide me through pre-surgery to after surgery were succinct. I am grateful, thankful, and blessed that you were in charge of my medical care.

Compassionate and professional

Dr McCollum did my surgery but since then I have seen his PA. She is wonderful. Makes me feel comfortable while there for my exam.

His dedication and sincere caring for those under his care is phenomenal! Dr. McCollum is a skilled, compassionate Gynecologic Oncologist who provides individualized care and gets results. He and his medical team do an outstanding job treating women of all ages.

I have been going to Dr. McCollum for 5 years now and he is an absolutely wonderful physician. I am so very happy and blessed that he is my surgical oncologist! He has a very nice personality, is patient, gentle, and always answers all my questions and concerns (which are usually numerous) without getting annoyed. His staff is excellent also, and my visits there make me feel I am visiting family and friends. Again, since I ended up getting cancer, I am so glad I was able to be a patient of his! Nancy D. Dr. McCollum is an excellent physician. He is very knowledgeable, caring, and a good listener. I feel at ease under his care. The staff is great too. I highly recommend Dr. McCollum.

He and his PA, Kristen Taylor, are very cold, detached practitioners. He does not explain options for treatment and neither of them seem to keep up with the latest developments in cancer treatments. VOA circles the wagons around their employees and leaves patients with very few viable options when cancers are missed by these two.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the uterus. Dr McCollum made no promises except that it was an aggressive cancer and he would be very aggressive in his treatment. After chemotherapy and radiation, there is no longer any sign of cancer. I have been getting checked every 3 months, but after a clear PET Scan, I'll be checked every 6 months now. I can't adequately express how grateful I am to Dr McCollum and his staff.

Dr. McCollum is a very knowledgeable and caring individual. He was very comfortable and easy to talk to. He explained everything in a way I could understand.

He helps me feel comfortable. He provide me with information concerning my wellbeing. He's a good doctor.

Although I did not see Dr. McCollum, I saw his nurse practioner, Kristen. She gave me sufficient time to answer all my questions. As I have issues related to my surgery and the radiation I received that was eighteen years ago, I have questions and I felt secure asking her and getting positive answers.

Went to see Dr. McCollum back in 2014 after my doctor found a mass on my ovary. He was wonderful, he explained everything that was going to happen to me to my husband and sons. I felt very comfortable having him operate on me. I am doing great and I see him once a year now.

I have known Dr McCollum for over 10 years and have my yearly check up each year after my cancer surgery. He is very thoughtful and has a compassionate way in taking care of me. He has a caring attitude and that is very important to me and I believe most patients appreciate that .

Dr. McCollum is knowledgeable and professional at all times. I know that I'm in good hands. I will recommend Dr. McCollum to any of my friends and family without hesitation.

Dr McCullum was attentive and courteous from the consultation to the pre-operative visit and post operative care. He thoroughly answered all my questions and promptly addressed all my concerns. I would most definitely would recommend Dr McCollum to family and friends.

The "treatment" my sister received by this physician and his staff was unacceptable and inhumane. She passed away in unnecessary pain. Why become a healthcare provider if you don't have compassion for the people you're treating?

Dr. McCollum came highly recommended to me. His office staff were professionals. I felt very comfortable at the office. He examined me and recommended a procedure. I was very nervous and scared,but the staff and Dr.McCollum put my mind at ease and took excellent care of me. Very intelligent and professional! I would recommend him to any of my friends or family members.

I'm pregnant and we had a cancer scare on my cervix. Dr. McCollum handled this scary process professionally and promptly. He put my husband and myself at ease throughout this experience without giving us false hope. I felt very safe and comfortable under his care.
