Dr. Michael Mccann

Dr McCann has kept me pain free even though I have scoliosis and spinal stenosis.

I felt very comfortable with Dr McCann. Excellent interpersonal skills and showed what I thought were the appropriate measures to begin deducing my issues. I would highly recommend him and his practice to anyone needing his expertise.

My experience with Dr.McCann was very positive. He is a good listener, did a full exam of the problem areas, and explained in understandable terms a plan of treatment. I feel blessed to be in his care.

My primary care physician referred me to Dr.McCann for spine care, pain. I've only seen Dr.McCann once and I'm sure that he will do his best to help me with my back issues. The Dr. Seems to be very knowledgeable and caring.

He is simply a FANTASTIC DOC. So himane and he takes time with each patient and treats is as human beings. He is professional and has helped my mother’s quality of life.

my appointment was at 2: 30 pm on Wednesday April 13. I arrived at 2: 15 to fill up paper . 1 hour later , I started to complain so finally the receptionist told me about 1h30 waiting time but I would be the next . I was lead to a room after seeing a nurse - 30 mn later still no sign of the nurse practitioner so I left . I drove 30 mm , waited 1h30 , drove again 40 mn for nothing and lost 2:40 hrs valuable working time !!! This is not fair to the patient .

Dr. McCann seems very proficient and has a good bedside manner. He is good at answering all questions and his PA is wonderful too. I have only seen Dr. McCann three times, and he injected my back once which helped. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

Dr. McCann has been taking care of my back for several years and always knows exactly what I need. His knowledge and bedside manner are far above the rest, he is truly one of a kind. I trust him completely.

I love Dr McCann but an almost 4 hour wait is too much. Get the man some help or don’t schedule so many people on the same day. I do understand he lost Dr Doctor.

Wait time was too long, both in the Waiting room, and in the exam room. Parking tickets is too high. Tickets need to be automated.

Walked in very apprehensive. Walked out feeling like there was hope in feeling better.

Dr. McCann is new to my treatment but I am impressed by his concern and thoroughness. I would not trust just anyone with my health but the doctors here have earned it.

Sciatica issues

Dr. McCann and his staff have been very responsive. They helped me so much and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I am excited about developing a relationship with this kind doctor. I was in tears the whole initial office visit,and he understood my anxiety. His PA is a doll! She cried with me - we are grieving Dr. Uday Doctor, and it was good that they both feel as sad and unsettled as I do. I pray for God's peace for all of us!

Have been having lower back, neck, and shoulder blade pain for a few years. For a year I have had leg and back pain when walk. He checked my nerves with the sharp object and had me walk on my heels. I do have blockage in my leg so he told me to get that fixed and then he will do an MRI. I was sent to him to see if my back was causing the pain before i have a stent put in my leg. Appointment was at 1:45 was not seen until 3:20 and was in my truck leaving at 3:50. It is a 2 hour drive for me to have him do something my PCP could have done. I would not recommend him to anyone. I have had dealings with doctors at Fondren and they are wonderful that is why I chose Fondren for my back was very disappointed not only because I got zero answers but I am still in pain.

1st time to be treated by Dr. McCann. He is a warm person with a very good bedside manner. He reviewed all the previous pain treatment injections with my husband and I and made certain that all involved were in agreement with the scope of the work and desired results.

I did have to wait a bit past my appointment time, but I always feel Iike this is due to the special treatment each patient receives. My personal history was reviewed with the NP and Dr. Mc Cann was fully briefed and ready to address my issues. Dr. McCann has a nice manner and a Great office staff.

Dr. McCann remains the very best pain management specialist for me. He knows exactly where to perform injections for total relief. His demeanor is professional, but very friendly and concerned about my pain. Teresa, his scheduling nurse is always sensitive to my needs. Aftercare is timely and caring. I travel about 300 miles to and from because I would go nowhere else.

Excellent care from Dr. McCann and his staff. Provides easy to understand explanations on current condition and treatment plan.

He's just the best and and "fixed" me so many times. He's been my doctor for over 16 years. It's because of Dr. McCann I can be pain free and walk many times. Highly recommend.

Dr. McCann is very personable and professional. I feel confident when he explains the process and procedures.

A very personal and caring physician. I have used Dr. McCann for several years for a couple of different issues. I went to see him after seeing SEVERAL other doctors for my pain. Dr. MCann immediately said we must find the exact spot causing the problem. We did a nuclear scan, found the exact spot and he treated it and it has been great. He makes sure you understand exactly what he is going to do and you are comfortable with the procedure before he performs any procedure. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Dr. McCann has done several treatments for me and I have always been very happy with him and staff.

visit was my first after 18 years. It was short due to additional testing that is needed for Dr. McCann to make a diagnosis.

I had the pleasure to see Mary Ellen (PA to McCann) again. She is excellent at what she does. She spent the time with me reviewing my condition & my current meds for treatment. She even talked with me about exercises and they would help strengthen my core in in order to avoid any further surgery or treatment. She is very knowledge about current solutions. I can tell how deeply she cares for her patients. I highly recommend her.

Dr. McCann is thorough in diagnostics and the procedures he performs. He recognized how painful my diagnosis is and he and his nurse practitioner are working carefully to give me the best pain relief possible. I highly recommend him. I drive 150 miles one way to see him.

Dr. McCann is a very arrogant person who enjoys embarrassing a patient and over-medicating me during my procedure; unconscious for almost two hours for a 15-minute ESI. I filed a complaint. Hopefully he will learn from my experience and become a better physician.

Dr McCann listens well. Doesn’t miss anything. His treatments have relieved my pain. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. McCann is an excellent physician; he treats each patient as an individual. his office staff are always professional and caring. And he listens.

Dr. McCann does great job explaining procedure and takes time to listen to my concerns. Injections have greatly improved my mobility.

My husband has been seeing him for two years with only very short term relief. Tried to talk to him about disability was told he did not have "a snowball's chance in hell". Tried to reach him three times during an emergency where my husband physically could not get out of bed. Never heard a word from him or his office. Have since started seeing another doctor. Highly disappointed.

AAA for care response and bed side I would, and have, recommended to Dr. McCann to many friends and associates. He and his staff are top of the heap anywhere

Dr. McCann gave me long-lasting pain relief. However, his office staff will not return my phone calls or email message. Very disappointing!

I would recommend Dr. McCann. I saw him years ago for a definite amount of time and recently. . MY issues were worked up, treatment recommended and completed . He brings broad current knowledge of his field and what his specialty provides and options for my issues. Pain management means different things to different people. Dr.McCann offers appropriate recommendations for what applies to your pain levels and involved areas. He knows if needed to refer you for other relevant treatment.

Dr. McCann has been my pain management doctor for over ten years. He is kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable. He always explains the procedure and understands pain management better than any other Doctor I have seen in this area. In my opinion, he is the best in this field. I highly recommend him for any of your pain management needs.

I received 3 injections from him for a herniated disc. The injections did not help my pain. After that, I saw doctor McCann for a follow up. When I told him I had not improved and that I still have pain sitting, standing, and walking, he said it was all in my head. He then told me to go lift weights at the gym, and to come back in several weeks. I cried after the appointment & never went back. 4 months later, I saw a neurosurgeon and learned that I have Disc Degenerative Disease.

I've had a series of injections for lower back pain from Dr McCann, the latest on 11/22/16, with great relief... although not lasting as long as I had hoped. However, ANY relief, no matter how short-lived is amazing. Dr McCann's staff and nurse assistants are super and very helpful. Dr McCann always takes time to explain what he does, what results I can expect, how long the relief may last in realistic terms and what my options are. I highly recommend him for straight talk and pain relief!

I had injections for my lower pain pain on 10/21/2016. The staff and all the nurses were very helpful and nice. Dr. McCann explained what my issues are, how the procedure would address those issues and what would take place. He also spent time explaining what I should avoid in day to day life and when I exercise. I was referred to Dr. McCann by my other doctor. I was quite pleased with the experience. So far, I'm am feeling much better. Only reason for not giving 5 stars due to a long wait.

After waiting to 2 1/2 hours dr.. McCann spent 2 seconds with us. Offering no solution to my daughter's back pain. No apologies, not concerned about the patient schedule .

De McCann truly cares about minimizing your pain and had taken a true interest in me as a patient. Dr McCann's administrative assistant Grace is awesome ! She makes things happen. Mary Ellen is an excellent PA. She is very thorough and very kind !
