Dr. Michael K Maley

It was the best decision I had to undergo cataract removal on both my eyes(one eye surgery at a time) through Dr Maley. He explained to me why I need the surgery and Ihe made me feel at ease and trust him. Now I can see much better and I have no regrets and because of thi I highly recommend Dr. Maley . The staff are also very professional and friendly.

Very dismissive of my issue and not helpful at all. Not a great bedside manner. I do not recommend him and will not he returning to his office.

My second experience at Dr Maleys went very smoothly. I am very happy with the outcome.

He knows his stuff and he is a good surgeon you can trust

Terrible experience. The office is extremely disorganized. I went for a laser iridotomy. This was my second appointment at the center. I waited 35 minutes to get called in. The technician asked about my cataract surgery. Never had cataract surgery. I mentioned twice that I was there for laser surgery. I told her I was having one eye done today and the other done the following Thursday. She puts a drop in my left eye and says, 'Oh wrong eye. Force of habit'. Not very comforting. She then puts a drop in my right eye. I thought they were the numbing drops. Well, she dilated both of my eyes. She had the wrong paperwork?! Due to narrow angle closure, my eyes are not to be ever be dilated. Not to mention you cannot do a laser procedure with dilated eyes. They put me in a different room because I needed to see the Dr. right away. No one checks on me. I am in there for 30 minutes waiting for the doctor and worrying. The doctor finally comes in and was very cold. He basically states that he cannot do the procedure now because my eyes are dilated. He says, 'you will have to reschedule'. No apologies. No reassurance. I tell him that I won't be coming back. He says quite smugly that's up to you. He wasn't going to check the pressure in my eyes before I left. I had to request that he check it and he says 'good idea'. He tells me if I get a headache or my vision gets worse to come back or go to the ER because I am now at risk for an acute glaucoma attack due to the dilation drops. He was not apologetic at all. He stood up and walked out. No phone call to check in or make sure I got home okay. I drove myself because I was getting one eye done. The staff is unprofessional with the exception of Jackie, the office manager. Jackie was the only one who treated me with kindness. I am truly sad and disgusted. Just a complete mess. I am a single mom and I missed a day's pay for this. I have already taken next Thursday off for the other eye. I wasted three hours and got nothing accomplished but a lot of aggravation and tears. Not a good experience to say the least.

I've been his patient for several years now. No complaints and a lot of praise for him.
