They squeezed me in last minute, but never rushed during the exam. The doctor had wonderful bedside manners and answered all questions or concerns. Staff was also extremely pleasant both on the phone and in person.

As soon as I met Dr. Lospinuso of the Orthopaedic Institute of NJ, I knew I had found the surgeon that I would trust my spine to. I'm glad I did because Dr. Lospinuso is a brilliant spine surgeon. He is a great diagnostician and a 'top notch' spine surgeon. He thoroughly explained the surgical procedure and my expected result and recovery. I will remain eternally grateful to Dr. Lospinuso, his surgical team, his assistants, his PA and all of the hospital personnel that contributed to my recovery.

Go to Dr Lospinuso if you want a doctor to laugh in your face over and over again about you symptoms. He kept telling me that the doctors treating me before hand had no idea what they were doing but offered no help or advice. Nothing but condescending and a bully.

In 2006, Dr. Lospinuso repaired a herniated disc that was causing horrible sciatic pain with leg drop. I was so pleased with the results from that surgery, I only considered him for a laminectomy for my spinal stenosis. I'm almost 4 weeks since surgery so still recovering, but Front what I can tell, the severe pain I was experiencing from standing is gone. Looking forward to going back to pain free normal activities. I'm confident I will as long as I do my part with physical therapy.

Dr. Lospinuso is a wonderful doctor. He performed spinal surgery on me 20 years ago. I recently had a visit to the office for a different issue and I had the opportunity to tell him how grateful I am for his expertise with my surgery and how he gave me a new life post surgery. Dr. Lospinuso is an amazing doctor/surgeon and I highly recommend him to everyone who needs surgery. He is truly the best of the best in his profession!

I saw a general Orthopedist and he was also concerned. He referred me to Dr. Losponosa, he is a straight shooter and right from the first time I saw him he was up front and honest, no sugar coating, just the way I like it! Dr. Losponosa actually called the radiologist that did the report on my MRI to discuss the findings and after that discussion the radiologist updated his report. I was impressed he took the time to get clarification and actually noticed something on the MRI that the radiologist amended on the report after the conversation. He also encouraged me to get other opinions, and as you can see I left no stone unturned. We actually discussed several things that the other doctors mentioned to me. We discussed these findings and came to a conclusion of what levels needed to be addressed. Going into the surgery I knew at least 2 levels would be impacted, however a 3rd level was questionable, I left the decision up to him to decide during the surgery. Well to my satisfaction while doing the surgery he evaluated the area and decided a 3rd level was not necessary. At each visit he encouraged my questions and addressed each and every one, the day of the surgery I could tell he was all business and in a zone! The choice of hospital (Jersey Shore) to do the procedure couldn't have been any better, I had a great experience at the hospital. If you are looking for a spine surgeon you should consider Dr Lospinosa. He is analytical, calm, cooperative, creative, decisive, ethical, friendly, gracious, investigative, knowledgeable, passionate, reassuring, skillful, trustworthy, vigilant, and wise.

Fell 40 feet from a tree, was transported by ambulance to ER. JSUMC. was suffering several fractures. One was my back. I was suffering some paralysis. when my vertebrae blew apart it cut through some nerves. my prognosis for being able to walk was not good. Dr. Lospinuso spent a good part of the night and into the next morning mending those nerves. He also did a spinal fusion of 3 vertebrae. The rehab lasted several months. I could not feel large areas of my body , I could not walk. or control my bladder. It was a rough period for my family and I. Thanks to the extra time and skill of Dr. Lospinuso. I slowly regained most of my function back. I can walk, run, drive, go to the bathroom. I work in a very physical job as a tow truck operator, As well as a volunteer Fire Fighter lugging hose and yes climbing ladders. I Thank Dr. Lospinuso every day for giving me my quality of life back.

I was very impressed with his patience and explanation of the procedure I was having done. I came home from the hospital the next day with no complications. I am in the process of going to physical therapy and looking forward to a complete recovery. I would recommend him to anyone who is in the need of spinal surgery

Dr Lospinuso is an excellent doctor who Went out of his way to meet with me regarding my neck pain. Fast efficient diagnosis and feeling better 2 days later. Highly recommended

Dr. Lospinuso is the most uncaring; snobbish; egotistic Doctor I’ve ever came across I mean I have never felt like that about all the doctors I’ve encounter he really forgot about the oath he sworn (Hippocrate) I don’t care how good a doctor could be or think he is if he’s not human void of feeling for his fellow man and/or women let’s just say I didn’t want him to touch my back!! I feel sorry for doctor like him they forget how to have empathy!!! So sad!

1-1:2 yrs. after laminectomy,and spinal fusion my pain remains the same if not worse.. I,was dismissed with a diagnosis of neuropathy and dismissed to my primary doc. Rude. Now what.!!

I was in a bad car accident in May 2016 and was transferred to Jersey Shore Medical Center. I suffered a broken spine leaving my spinal cord exposed. I met with Dr. Lospinuso a day before my surgery was scheduled and he completely put my mind at ease. He did an amazing job and everyone tells me they've never seen a scar so straight! I feel so blessed and lucky to have had him as my spinal surgeon. He truly saved my life and I'll never be able to thank him enough.

Uncaring, ego-maniac. Doesn't listen or care about patient complaints. He is a know it all who knows nothing about humans. If you want to be listened to and have your issues truely taken care of, don't go here. We went for a second opinion at NYU and have an amazing caring dr who has re do all of previous surgery that was done in piece mail, and relplaced properly. Staff is also uncaring and robotic.

I met Dr. Lospinuso due to a severe traumatic back injury on a Saturday in July. He was scheduled to go on vacation the next day (Italy) but due to the unstable condition of my spinal fracture he agreed to delay his plans and come in as my surgeon. Thankfully he did as I am walking now due to this man's skill and expertise as a spinal surgeon. Forget everything else, if you must have back surgery, he is one of the best in the business.
