Dr Lamson and his staff were the best. All were very helpful. Their pre surgery through the 6 week checkup was explained well. They have classes and a book to follow with all the phone numbers that you might need. I am so glad I picked Dr Lamson for my hip surgery THANKS I have already recommended him to a few people and will continue to do so.

I'm a triple! As in 3 joints replaced in 1 year by the amazing surgeon Dr. Lamson. I can walk again and it feels great. Dr. Lamson and team make what could be a scary process feel very safe. They have an online program that sends you everything you need to know and do just at the right time. I appreciated this as it kept me from feeling overwhelmed. Dr. Lamson takes all safety for your welfare as priority. From pre-op prep, to having to postpone one surgery due to safety issues, to follow-up instructions I always knew my best interest was first. In addition to Dr. Lamson being an excellent surgeon, Sauk Prairie using the best technology (robot assisted replacements), I can't say enough for the outstanding customer service provided by his team. From Annie the brilliant coordinator, Sarah the nursing coordinator and every health care professional in the hospital I couldn't have felt better taken care of. So happy I'm done, but sad to be leaving these people who have helped me so much. What a gift! Thank you Dr. Lamson, Annie, Sarah and the entire Sauk Prairie hospital staff. You guys rock!

I was extremely impressed with everything for my hip replacement. Dr. Lamson, all the staff, the before, during and after care. Would highly recommend! My surgery was in March of 2018 and still going strong... was told this hip should last 30 years if I don't do too much heavy lifting!

I went to see Dr. Lamson for a second opinion on a total knee replacement. I found him and the staff at Sauk Prairie Healthcare to be extremely knowledgable, thoughtful, and compassionate. They took time to answer my questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Lamson and Sauk Prairie Healthcare! (My first opinion was from a surgeon at the UW Hospital/Clinic. The visit was rushed, the doctor and the resident were insensitive and frankly, quite arrogant.)

My husband Greg has had a hip replacement and just finished a total knee replacement with Dr. Lawson. In both procedures, Dr. Lawson and the entire team have been wonderful! We couldn’t imagine a better experience!

After years of injections in both knees in Madison, I knew it was time for surgery. From my career in Pharmaceuticals, I had many contacts among physicians in Wisconsin. After asking a number of well established trusted physicians who they would go to if they needed a knee replacement, the majority endorsed Orthopedic Associates with Sauk Prairie Heathcare. I chose Dr. Lamson and was soon meeting with him and his staff with my first surgery scheduled for March 2021. After a positive surgery outcome and recovery, I scheduled surgery for my other knee. I had my second surgery recently. I am again recovering nicely after just completling physical therapy. My experience with both Dr.Lamson and everyone whom I came into contact with at the clinic and hospital was very positive. Dr. Lamson has a friendly confident manner. The staff in the clinic and the hospital were all positive and exceeded my expectations. The hospital itself was small, nicely detailed and left a favorable impression.

I just had my 1 year postop exam after my hip replacement. My first year with no hip pain in a long time! I would highly recommend Dr. Lamson as a surgeon. He not only is a great surgeon but also is very personable, always answered my questions fully, and most importantly, ended the pain and limping that I had been experiencing for many years. My most recent experience with Dr. Lamson, the staff at SP Ortho & everyone I encountered at SP Healthcare who were involved in my Nov 2nd Anterior left hip re-placement renews my faith in how medicine can be practiced! I found ALL to be Professional, Knowledgeable & Empathetic. The use of online pre-op & post-op "lessons" provided excellent info, answered most questions well before the questions occurred to me, and was/is a remarkable resource during this experience. And, while the online info is excellent, the caring & personal attention provided by all is simply remarkable in this day and age. I had knee replacement surgery by Dr. Lamson. I can’t speak highly enough about him and all the team. Excellent care, great wrap around service (from start to finish). I never felt rushed, was encouraged to ask questions, felt listened to. I’ve had plenty of other surgeries from various sports injuries - but the service at Sauk Prairie Healthcare was better than any other place I’ve been. Thank you Dr Lamson and the entire team!

Dr Lamson is a top notch Ortho surgeon. I’m 53 years old and never been under the knife. I was extremely nervous with hip replacement surgery, but Dr Lamson and his team made this process smooth and a success. I’m amazed how little pain I experienced and the recovery was quick. Highly recommend going anterior approach, less pain, no cutting of muscle or tendons, less restrictions, and faster recovery. Dr Lamson cares about his patients and great communication skills. His timeline recovery was spot on. His team does a great job with info and prep before surgery. Sauk facility provides a great atmosphere. I’ll be going back to Dr Lamson for any future surgeries, one of the best around!

Highly recommend Dr Lamson and his team! First time having a surgery and was extremely nervous with hip replacement surgery. I’m amazed how little pain I had and such a quick recovery. Dr Lamson anterior approach is the best way to go! Faster recovery, less pain, and avoids any cutting of muscle and tendons. Dr Lamson is an amazing surgeon. I have had 3 other hip surgeries, this surgery and recovery was the best experience I ever had. Dr Lamson explained what he was doing and why. He answered all my concerns. My recovery time was cut in half compared to my other surgeries. This is the first time in years (or maybe my life) that I can walk with no hip pain. I didn't know if it was ever a possibility for me to be without hip pain. However with Dr Lamson's skills anything is possible. I don't have any hip pain. Thank you Dr Lamson

I had a total knee replacement. I couldn't of have had any better care and experience. This is true for all of the staff at Sauk Prairie Health care. They answered questions before, during and after surgery. This was done through online classes, my appointments, and explanations before and after surgery. My short stay at the hospital was better than I expected. The care I was given was excellent. My physical therapy was exactly what I needed. They helped me with stretching and strengthening that was modified to meet my individual needs. They answered all of my questions and gave me advice on what I could do to help me improve at home. I would recommend this team to anyone.

I investigated Total hip arthroplasty, prosthesis, hospitals, and Doctors for two years before choosing Sauk Prairie Healthcare, Doctor Michael Lamson, anterior approach and a proven prosthetic that used all the best materials available. Doctor Lamson's surgery statistics are impeccable, he answered all my questions, took time to make sure that I understood everything and left no stone unturned. my surgery went better than I could have ever hoped, staff was unbelievably helpful, courteous, and attentive to my every need. On the very first day after surgery I had almost no pain and could walk, like a miracle no more hip pain. The hard part was holding my self back and restricting some movements until my hip healed up. Follow up appointments went well. (You must do what Doctor Lamson tells you to do, with no exceptions) Kudos to Doctor Michael Lamson, Annie Kippley, Sarah Cook and all the personnel employed at Sauk Prairie Orthopedic Hospital for making my surgery a fabulous success.

I had total knee replacements done in 2015 & 2016. Today at my routine checkup, I was again able to voice my gratitude to Dr. Lamson for changing my life in a way I never imagined possible after suffering in pain for years. Dr. Lamson, PA Jeff & 'traffic cop'/scheduler Annie are all very caring and make up a stellar orthopedic team. Through the years, I have had a number of people ask me where and who did my knees. I am always proud to provide the phone number and Dr. Lamson's name. I am forever grateful for the care I have received and follow up appointments are always met with smiles and I leave with a spring in my step!

I had a full knee replacement with Dr Lamson. It's been about 8 months, and I'm doing well with it. I like that he was a straight shooter. He told me that Knee replacement is one of the surgeries that takes the longest to heal, and he set realistic goals of when I could expect it to make a full recovery. I have no pain, but the knee still feels tight at the end of a long and active day, but, this is normal. He said that it can take between 6- 12 months to feel normal. I like that he prepared me for the process. Nice guy, great surgeon. If I ever need surgery like this again, he's the one I would choose. Sincerely, Terri N

Every visit to Sauk Prairie Health care left me with a positive and very happy feeling. Each person I came in contact with was cheerful and informative and the hospital experience was the best it could possibly be. Dr. Lamson is very personable, caring and kind. I have great confidence in his abilities and would encourage anyone to consider seeing him, as well as any of the doctors at this amazing clinic.

Starting from my 1st initial visit with Dr. Lamson of considering to get a Total Left Knee Arthroplasty and now finishing my 6 week follow up after surgery I achieved getting a full release. The communication of Sauk Prairie Orthopedic staff & Sauk Prairie Hosp. Staff was very thorough & above the norm that I ever experienced at any other health facility. The information they gave made the preparation through this complete process very easy which I had full knowledge what to expect. The on-line courses they offer was amazing which covered the complete process & helped fill any unanswered questions. All I can say I'm Very Satisfied with this experience and the out come after my surgery. I can enjoy life activities again with my Wife and family. Thank you Dr. Lamson and everyone involved.

I received a total hip replacement by Doctor Lamson. All I can say is it was a game changer and one that I wished I would have explored earlier. I can't even begin to tell anyone the relief I got immediately after my surgery and it was only then that I realized how much unnecessary pain I put myself through. At 52, I never expected to be seeking out such an operation and Dr. Lamson was there for me every step of the way to answer each and every question. I sincerely want to thank Dr. Lamson and the entire Sauk Prairie Health Care staff for their professionalism throughout my entire procedure. As a retired Conservation Warden and past Athlete I'm so excited to look forward to hiking with my college age daughter who hikes throughout the State and National Park system. I will certainly not have a problem returning to Sauk Prairie Health Care when it's time to do my other hip. The only thing I know is I won't wait so long. I had a total knee replacement performed by Dr Lamson. I was extremely satisfied with my experience and results. From my first visit, I was impressed with him and ALL of his staff. Prior to surgery, I was amazed with the coordinated effort of the nurse practitioners, nurses, surgery coordinator, social worker, pharmacist, & physical therapist. I never felt like “just another patient”. They took into account my special family circumstances. I have never felt so informed & prepared for a surgery. I need to mention that my hospital experience was also very positive. I will need another knee replacement and I will definitely have Dr Lamson perform the surgery. I highly recommend Dr Lamson and Sauk Prairie Health Care.

I had a total hip replacement and couldn't be happier to once again be able to painlessly do the things I love. I had never had major surgery and Dr. Lamson was very understanding and supportive throughout the entire process. The whole experience couldn't have been better including hospital stay and staff support before, during and after the procedure. I never feel rushed during an appointment and Dr Lamson always answers all my questions honestly but also kindly. I would highly recommend Dr. Lamson and his team. As for the long wait time, that has only been since the advent of Covid-19. All appointments prior were exactly on time. I suspect that as things settle down, this will be better as well.

I had a total right knee replacement in July. From my first consult to my last appointment he took the time to explain what would happen next with his reassurance and total honesty I knew what would be coming next and didn’t panic. I had a full knee replacement performed by Dr. Lamson and his team. I could not be more satisfied with my experience. My first consultation appointment was incredibly thorough and informative. I had heard information that no other orthopedic surgery had told me. On the day of my surgery, all who were involved were professional, friendly, and compassionate. I felt at ease the entire time. After surgery and during the recovery stage, I was amazed at how little pain I felt. I realize this can be a painful procedure, but for me, it was a cakewalk. I owe much of it to Dr. Lamson and his expertise in his field. I highly recommend him.

I had a left hip replacement. Dr. Lamson and his staff were absolutely terrific. I knew everything that was going to happen step by step before and after my surgery. Extremely thorough in every part of the replacement process, from the very beginning learning stages, to the procedure, to the follow ups!! I can't praise this team enough for their efforts in making everything so extremely simple and straight forward!

There aren't enough good words to describe how great my experiences have been with Dr. Lamson. He has given me a new hip, repaired my torn rotatory cuff, and recently gave me a total knee replacement, all of which have saved me from constant pain. He is a really good surgeon, has great bed-side manner, and made sure that I understood everything that he was going to do, and if that isn't enough, he always has a big smile on his face.

I had an Anterior hip procedure Dec. 2019, i can not believe how little pain i had. They had me up and walking 2 hours after surgery 200 feet total again with little to no pain. I was released at noon the next day. Now a week later i am amazed at how little pain i have had and how quickly i am recovering! DR. LAMSON IS AMAZING.

Dr Lamson replaced my wife's knee a few years ago and she is doing fine. He placed my knee on 8/12/2019 and my recovery is going great. He is a very caring doctor and takes the time to listen to you and answer your questions.

Had both hips replaced 6 weeks apart. Unbelievable! Could not believe how quickly I was walking with very little discomfort. Great doctor. Great staff and hospital.

Although I am sure that Dr Lamson is a very competent physician he lacks empathy for the patient. There is much more to treating your patient than medical opinion. I have left his office feeling like a worthless person and he showed absolutely no compassion or empathy for my feelings.

Dr. Lamson replaced the medial compartment of my left knee. I had a this surgery on my right knee three years ago by a different doctor at a different hospital. My experience with both Dr. Lamson and Sauk Prairie hospital was excellent. The communication throughout the process was amazing. The pre-op was well organized and timely, the post surgery care was good and Dr. Lamson took time to explain surgery and recovery, and answered all my questions. The recovery is going smoothly.
