I have been working with Dr Koss's office for 6 mths asking them to send the correct billing code to Sonora Quest lab. I have a pre-existing condition so should not be coded as a routine colonoscopy. Medicare will not pay for a routine visit, so im stuck with a $314 bill. Even Sonora said all Dr Koss office has to do is fax the correct code. Greg the office manager told me he would tell their coding department to fix it. Its been over 3 weeks now and Sonora has gotten nothing as of yet. I found Dr. Koss not very engaging or friendly, and I felt as though I was inconveniencing him. I suggest he attend a class for improving patient relations. I will not return for services by him.

They did a great job. Thank you to my nurse, Valerie. She was amazing.

Seems competent, but not overly attentive. Only saw him very briefly, just before/after the surgical procedure. Otherwise you get shuffled off to physician's assistants and nurses, which for me, is not what I want. Going elsewhere.

Terrible Doctor and person. Bad attitude. Does not listen or care about his patients. All he wants to do is prescribe high risk drugs

I was referred to him by my primary. Made the appt and was seen by a Nurse Practioner. Then I was scheduled for an upper GI. Suddenly i receive a bill from Banner for my visit in full. My Insurance provider denied the service because the billing was done in the Nurses name. I have been trying to sort this out with Banner for over a month between BCBS, Banner and my primary. I am not happy with Banner at this point and the billing dept says it will be 30 days for them to review my billing issues. So I am supposed to trust them and have this procedure done. Referred from primary care doc for a colonoscopy screening. During consultation was talked into having an EGD at the same time to save money....haha! Still fighting the bill we received because both procedures were coded as diagnostic so insurance only covered a portion of the colonoscopy. Is this the way to treat the age 50+ patients?!?! Totally fed up bouncing between the surgical center the doctors office and insurance. Dr. Koss’ accounting personnel is the reason we will never come back. My first visit was with the nurse practitioner and she was fantastic. She prescribed me new medication that has been a life changer. Dr. Loss did my upper GI and the experience with him and Del Webb hospital was so quick and easy. Thank you for your care.

WARNING!! Terrible Doctor and person and general. Does not listen or care about his patients. All he wants to do is prescribe high risk drugs. Terrible attitude.

Dr. Koss is VERY impersonal and VERY RUDE! He pressed my mom's stomach so hard that she yelled out. She was complaining of stomach pain after a procedure. He pressed on her stomach hard and said "this is your chest - not your stomach!", although it was the upper part of her stomach! When my mom asked for the details of the procedure and if she was bleeding internally, he just said "no bleeding" and he just walked out without further explanation!! Not enough room to write all my critizing events with this doc! Find another!!

I can’t speak for Dr Koss himself. . My gynecologist told me he’s suspicious I might have endometriosis but before going in for surgery he wants to make sure it might not be a problem related to my GI system. He suggested I find a GI specialist so we can move forward with treatment. I find Dr Koss and call, was on hold for over 45 minutes before getting ahold of someone. I gave her all of my information, including my birthday/age. She said the soonest they can get me in is two months, no problem. Over those two months my symptoms got worse; I was hospitalized three times for pain, vomiting blood, have had to call out of work half a dozen times because I can’t walk, am collapsing and fainted once, I can no longer drive out of fear of one of these episodes happening while I’m on the road. I’m in near constant excruciating pain and it’s getting worse. All I needed for surgery to fix this was an appointment with Koss. The morning of the appointment they leave a voicemail saying they just realized I’m 20 and they refuse to see anyone under 21. I was four months shy of 21 at the time, if you look up Koss it says he treats adults only. LAST TIME I CHECKED TWENTY IS AN ADULT! They said to call back, I tried and was on hold for over an hour and a half, tried again a week later and was on hold for nearly an hour. Tried a third time was gave up after half an hour. They never returned my calls. Sorry for the long rant, still quite bitter over this offices unprofessionalism. I can’t speak for Dr Koss himself. . Dr koss wanted to put me to sleep for a scope. I told the ma that I was afraid to be put to sleep and didn't feel comfortable. Told her that I have had one done before and was awake. The other doctor even did a biopsy while i was awake. They sent a message to him, he refused to do it awake. I feel like he's doing these procedures with putting people to sleep because it's more money for him!!!!! A patient should be comfortable. He didn't do that. I have panic attacks so this also gave me panic. The lady asked if I have sleep apnea, I said I don't think so, but I snore a lot. A doctor should NEVER make a patient feel like they're not being heard, and uncomfortable! Then I was told to find another doctor who doesn't put patients to sleep. I've been in pain for a month now. Now I have to go back to my pcp, get a new referral, and wait for an appointment. This is ridiculous!!!!!!!! He should be fired. Might call Arizona state board. Have this investigated. Dr. Koss and his staff are very caring and attentive. He had done a procedure on me years ago, and I made a point to find him again, because he is such a good Dr. He explains the procedure and asks if you have questions. I have recommended family members to see him as well. Thank you Dr. Koss and staff.

Dr. Koss has been one of the best doctors, I have utilyzed. His analytical skills, his knowledge, personality, and his desire to help has been great. His office staff mirror Dr. Koss's values, as they are also knowledgeable and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Dr. Koss over bills way too much. We will never go to him again. A simple Colonoscopy costs over $1000.00, and I don't believe they billed our insurances. So that does it for us.

Dr. Koss is probably my favorite doctor. I have a large team. He is very smart, really know's what he's talking about. He is compassionate, caring and above all a great diagnostician. Considerate, friendly, listens well, ease of appts. Thorough and provides results right away.

Office runs ok, Dr. Koss does not have a great repoir with his patients. Found him to be very dry, no smile, very short appt. time-felt uneasy and not quite trustworthy.
