Dr. Michael D Kim

Went to Dr. Kim years ago after suffering multiple strokes on the back of my brain. He was one of my favorite Drs. ALWAYS very professional and super nice to my wife and I every time I went out to see him. Could ALWAYS talk to him and ask any question. ALWAYS took time to explain everything

I attended an appointment with my sister recently a d when Dr. Kim came into the room I was appalled at how rude and ignorant he was toward both of us. His attitude felt like age bias since we are older clients. I would never recommend him to anyone for neurological help and she was originally scheduled for another doctor and was switched to him. Obviously he might need to treat people who had no intention to see him.

No knowledge of proper EMG procedures. I can prove this as I have another procedure with a different neurologist to compare his technique to.

I went to Dr. Kim after 4 other doctors to find out why I would fall (at times) when standing up. I went to Family doctor. She suggested PT to see if my he crystals in my ear had dislodged. Then I wore a Holter Monitor for 24 hours.It showed enough enough arrythmia sothat she sent me to a cardiologist. She did a few tests in the office but said I needed an electrical cardiologist. He put me on a MCOT monitor/ sensor for a month. Nothing bad. In the mean time I was still falling at times. Them went to Dr.Kim, a neurologist, in Scranton,Pennsylvania. After talking for about 15 minutes he said he believed I was over medicated. He did send me to have an bloodwork and an MRI. I have arthritis ,gastro, asthma and have been seeing another specialized for the server itchiness that started a year ago. To top it all off Dr. Kim has a great sense of humor that put me at ease.

My coworkers husband is showing some odd behavior he has a heart valve. She is such a wonderful woman and thinks her husband needs better primary care or he will die. Her husband's heart surgeon recommended Dr. Kim as fine neurologist. She called his office and the woman on the phone told her to go with their new doctor or go see someone else. This guy is in good shape and had kept himself healthy. This is very disturbing. The same thing happened with my father before he finally found the right doctor. Life is not about the person who answers the phone I'd like to tell her the same thing if her loved ones needed a new opinion.

I have been a patient of Dr Kim’s for years. He is very professional, he takes time to listen, he explains what treatment he recommends. I would recommend Dr Kim to anyone needing the help he provides.

Rushed through appointment. Interrupted patient numerous times while trying to ask medical questions. Walked out of room without closure to the appointment.

Dr Kim was extremely helpful in treating a condition that had existed for 8 months prior to my first visit. He was thorough and guided me to the treatment needed which eliminated the problem causing my pain. I've seen him since and once again received thoughtful and professional care. I'd highly recommend him for neurology needs.

Dr. Kim is an excellent doctor with the personality to match! But, the practice he is with and, especially his office staff, ruin all of that. I'm sure he wants to treat a lot of people, but the practice won't allow it. I'm already his patient and had a head injury in an auto accident and he can't see me. The practice will not accept auto insurance. The office staff also needs a lesson from Dr. Kim in how to treat patients - they are just mean. I really hope he leaves this practice!
