The doctor is great, he's kind, listens, provides good time with patient. In this new office, the staff are new and illiterate to smooth transactions. My Wednesday appt needed to be canceled. Michelle said "no", leave it and I will try to get you in if there is cancelation. She called me back, said "come on Tuesday at 1pm." Here now and they said "you missed your 9am appt." I'm not coming back until they get things under control. The doctor said he could not work me in.

I liked Dr. Kellogg and he is a nice guy and very funny at times. I just wish he had listened when I kept telling him for a 1-1/2 years my ears were stopped up and I felt pressure in them. He also didn't listen to me when I said my thyroid med I was on was not helping with my fatigue and I had no energy at all. He had also stated my cholesterol was high and put me on meds for that and my sugar was boarder line and I made changes to my diet which he said up to the end of me seeing him was getting better. I felt his nurse and him were only concerned about me pooping in a box and having a mammogram since that was brought up every time I saw him (which for 2 years was every 3 months and the last 1-1/2 every six months) Never once did he change my meds or address my hearing issues. I was suppose to go back in Dec 2021. My hearing was getting so bad I decided to get another Dr. I now have to go to a specialist at Vanderbilt and I am wearing 2 hearing aids just to be able to hear a little. My now Dr. Did Blood work and tells me my thyroid is way out of control and my Vit D was extremely low said nothing about my cholesterol but did say my sugar was good.

My husband, my mom and I have been going to Dr. Kellogg for many, many years. He, his wife and their staff treat us like family. When all 3 of us tested positive for COVID, back at the beginning of the pandemic, he was right on top of it. We followed his treatment plan and made it through with very few issues. Dr. Kellogg is such a kind and gentle person. So caring that it’s almost unbelievable that he’s a doctor :) And his office is so good at keeping up with you and caring. The whole place makes you feel more human than patient. We need more of this.

Dr Michael Kellogg and the staff at TriStare Medical Fairvue are awesome they treat each patient like you are their only patient. Doctors and staff are professional, polite, and very helpful. Dr, Kellogg is incredible! I’ve had him as my doctor for nearly 10 years. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and always looking to see what’s the most convenient and helpful to me as a patient. I highly recommend him.

Horrible care! Medical neglect. Waited over two weeks to get in with injured toe. Taking care of an 87-year-old senior I fractured and may have broken my toe lifting him, I waited over two weeks in bad pain, Veronica couldn’t squeeze me in ...yet overbooks, yet patients have to wait an hour? after a day after daylight savings time I was less than 10 minutes late and they refused to see a person with a fractured toe who had to wait over two weeks? A crime ...medical neglect. Inhumane

Dr. Kellogg and his staff are always interested in making sure the patience needs are first. I showed up on the wrong day for my appointment, was total my fault. I had to return the next day but staff was super helpful in making it right. Even though it was my mistake.

Love Dr. Michael Kellogg. I have multiple chronic health issues & he is always so encouraging & supportive. He listens to & addresses my concerns. He has a genuine interest in what is best for his patient & shares the joy of a health issue victory. His smile & laugh make going to the doctor a pleasure, not a dreaded event. Dr. Michael Kellogg always takes the time to listen to his patients. He discusses treatment options that don’t always include taking a handful of pills. He takes a holistic approach with his patients. His staff is courteous and caring.

Just giving a review for one star because he deserves it...and he knows it.

My husband and I loved doctor Kellogg and his nurse staff including Tonya and Lindsey. No we did NOT have a bad attitude. The billing person (Kim?) was the one with an attitude! My husband questioned a charge that was billed as surgery! Tonya used a razor blade to scrape a very small splinter from my Husbands finger that Dr Kellogg could not even see. nothing wrong with that, the issue is billing for surgery and not explains that it was going to cost us $150 plus and insurance $300+ For an issue that was mentioned at the END of an appointment about meds in a passing manner! As stated we loved the staff and Dr Kellogg. He and Lindsey were by our side during some very life threatening times with my husband! We moved from the area and traveled 2 1/2 hours then moved part time to FL but still traveled back to see Dr Kellogg! We can find another doctor - they are a dime a dozen but chose to keep seeing Dr. Kellogg. Being fired as a Patient because my husband stated he was going to speak with ins co about a charge he believed was excessive is not right! I had nothing to do with it and was also fired. No attempt was made by Dr Kellogg to contact us to get our side of what happened! I know he can get upset with patients, he has talked about other patients to us during office visits (never any names!). But after nearly 15 years, it hurts that what I thought was a special, trusting relationship was a farce. My husband and I loved doctor Kellogg and his nurse staff including Tonya and Lindsey. It saddens me to write this post as Dr. Kellogg was my doctor for a very very long time but being a diabetic with many other health issues I don't feel I was monitored very well and eventually ended up in Vanderbilt with CHF (Congestive Heart Failure). Dr. Kellogg is a wonderful man but has a tendency to turn a deaf ear with patient concerns and that is something I take personal. There were many times I left his office feeling like I was being judged because I have degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis and he placed me on medications to help with the daily pain but upon every visit his nurse (not Lindsley) picked out that medicine first to ask me about before going thru the other 15 meds I was on and that was not a comfortable thing for me and it happened every visit. His office staff is more than I can truly express. They are rude-Uncaring and have a tendency to ignore phone request but do find time to discuss patients private information at the front desk in front of other people which is a HIPPA violation. They do not follow thru with request made by patients (transfer of charts - lab information etc). Before leaving Dr. Kellogg I personally requested my chart and was given a couple of pages that did not pertain to much of the information I needed. Being a patient for close to 10 years or longer I know there are more pages to my chart than I received. I now am under the care of a Heart Doctor at Vanderbilt and a new medical doctor. I am still reaching out to get the information from my chart that I have never received from Dr. Kellogg's office. I wish Dr. Kellogg the best as he is a good person but his office staff with the exception of Lindsley needs an overhaul before he looses too many more patients. And I am aware that if you complain you will be fired as a patient. That of course is not a concern for me as I have already left his practice. My reason for this review is to hopefully let it been seen and looked at to let him see that he really needs to work on his staff as a whole and therefore he wouldn't have to fire his patients or his patients wouldn't have to fire him. They truly care. From Joanne when you check-in to the nurses Tonya & Lindsay, they are caring and highly professional. Not your usual cookie cutter care. I have recommended them to my friends who are now patients and happy. If you had a bad experience it must have been you and a negative attitude going in.

Haven't had a problem with any of Dr Kellog's staff or the man himself. He has been great and helpful/supportive through everything I've dealt with. First time I've had someone as a PCP since I was under 18 and he will be my doctor till the end or until he retires at least!

Dr. Kellogg is my primary care physician. I approached him with a problem with a medical supply company. He assured me that he and his staff would handle it promptly and they did. He and his staff are the best!!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Michael Kellogg’s for years. He is is very patient, “no pun intended” and kind. He listens to my concerns and always researches if he doesn’t have an immediate answer to my problem. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants a caring, knowledgeable doctor.

This was my first visit with Dr. Kellogg. He was very through with his examination and in acquire information needed for new patients. He address all of my concerns and has flowed up as promised with test results and recommendations.

Dr Kellogg seemed very caring and interested in my health. He even called me up after a a visit to check on me to see how I was doing and everyone on the Tristar Staff that I have met at Fairview have been very friendly and supportive.

Dr. Kellogg was very helpful and took the time to treat me well . I strongly recommend him to anyone. He was professional and understanding and helped me when I needed him . Strongly recommended to anybody.

Dr. M. Kellogg has been my PVP since 2014. I have always had a great experience each time I have had to visit. He has taken the time to get to know me not only as a patient, but as a friend. He goes out of his way to make sure that I am comfortable with any treatment plan. He calls and checks up and is just a great doctor. The entire staff are wonderful to deal with and I think highly of them all.

I was able to get an appt. as soon as I called, I feel comfortable with everyone in the office ; and trust their judgment . Nurse Tonya is very caring and knows what she is doing. You will not be disappointed it you chose Doc Kellogg & Tonya.

I have been seeing Dr. Michael Kellogg for about two years now. Prior to that I had the same doctor for 30 years. I was very skeptical about getting a new doctor. I have been so impressed with Dr. Kellogg. He is very thorough and listens to me without judgement. His nurses are awesome. I will not go anywhere else. I highly recommend Dr Kellogg and his office.

I have been seeing Dr. Kellogg since I moved to TN 3 yrs. ago. He has always been attentive, efficient, reasonable, and kind. He LISTENS. Plus, the wait-time is usually fairly short, and that is a biggie for me.

I recently had my annual physical. Dr Kellogg and his team did a great job. Quick responsive service. Covered all the bases and listened to my concerns. Then quickly took care of follow up services. Dr Kellogg and his team are doing a first class job.

Annual Physical and establishing primary care Physician

First visit I knew Dr. Kellogg was a great choice for my personal physician. How many times has a physician ask you right up front "how are you doing" then kept eye contact, listen intently and you could tell they really cared? That's Dr. Kellogg. Today's digital world many doctors rush and seem more intent on entering data into their system then asking good questions and listening. He has a confident but gentle manner, and obvious sense of humor. Easy to decide Dr. Kellogg will be our family physician for a long time. Also of importance to us was a doctor with a strong faith in God. Highly recommend Dr. Kellog and Weststar Group.

Update: Attempted to call Amanda mid day yesterday. She was gone for the day and will be gone all next week. Also received letter that fired us as patient. It stated that I had threatened the practice and or it’s staff! That is a flat out lie! We would greet DrK and Tonja with hugs not hand shakes! The girl from billing was rude she said she had spoke with her manager and that the I owed the charge because that is the way it was coded! I said, I was contacting the ins co. And to let Dr K and his assistant know. I was not happy, but NEVER threatened anyone! This really bothers me, and if DRK Truly believes this I am very disappointed and saddened. We have been through a lot with my health! I thought I was going to die and DR K seen me thru it all! I am baffled and hurt. My wife is devistated and actually cried over this. I have been a patient for many years and thought the world of Dr Kellogg and his staff. However I received a charge that was very excessive. I had went to a regular follow up visit due to medications that I am on. During the visit, I mentioned I had a small splinter in my finger. Long story short, the nurse scraped it out. The insurance was billed and I was being charged $150.00 co pay instead of my normal $$30.00. Left message and billing called me back and said that is what it cost. I told her that that is crazy and that all I had was a splinter scraped out and that It appears to be fraud. She said that was the cost and I had to pay it. I told her I was calling the insurance company and let them know about this charge. My wife just received a call from the office manager and they are firing both of us as patients because I threaten to call the insurance company. The manager said that Dr Kellogg took it personally, I never said he committed fraud only that the billing was fraudulent for scrapping a splinter out that the nurse did with a razor blade. I am very disappointed that he nor his assistant did not call to clear this up rather than having a staff member say he took it personally and was firing us as patients after all these years. So sad! I have sent 4 signed forms for ALL my records and to this day (Nov. 30 2017) they have not been sent. No excuse for this collosal screw up and it reflects badly on him. Great staff and excellent doctor!! Dr. Michael Kellogg takes time with each patient and is quite thorough to reach a proper diagnosis. Dr Kellogg was recommended by people at my previous doctor’s office when they learned I was moving. No regrets and have now recommend my husband see him.
