There’s a reason why his reviews are so good. Literally the best psychiatrist in Amarillo, and I’ve seen many of them. I’ve been his patient for 3 years now and my life has improved for the better. He knows what he is doing.

There are no words that can be said about Dr. Jenkins and all his staff that will describe the amazing care they provide to their patients. I have been with him for over fifteen years and recommend him to anyone looking great care and wonderful support.

I have seen Dr. Jenkins for years and you will not find a psychiatrist so versed in meds or so caring for his patients. Dr. Jenkins and his entire staff are some of the best, and make you feel like their only patient.

Dr Jennkins is an anomaly in the field of psychiatry. He listens carefully and asks thoughtful questions. He obviously cares very much about his patients. I’ve worked with many psychiatrists over the years and never, never experienced one who seemed to actually be in the same room as their patients. Most doctors seem intent on getting a patient in and out of their office with as much speed and little contact as possible. Throw a prescription at them and send them on their way. Dr Jennkins has confronted difficult cases with care and understanding and a positive attitude, which is very comforting and reassuring to his patients. He’s the best I’ve ever met and I highly recommend him.

For the past 12 years I’ve been with Dr. Jenkins and his staff - they are caring, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. Patient for life here.

Dr Jenkins took my case over after my other dr left and I’ve been pleased with how well we mesh. Dr Jenkins is as interested in my health as I am.

This is the 1st Dr that would listen to me. No matter how long he doesn’t rush you out the door.

Dr Jenkins is very considerate and caring for my condition.

Dr. Jenkins is an exceptional diagnostic MD. Not only has he been able to pinpoint my issues he is cautious with medication. 3 years in his care and I'm constantly improving. No one will ever treat my mental health but him personally. Highly recommend you see him.

I have been seeing Dr. Jenkins for several years. I have found him to be an excellent physician who is kind, knowledgeable, empathetic, and understanding. I would recommend him to a family member or close friend in a heartbeat.

Dr. Jennkins, Best doctor and very caring and understanding person. His staff is always friendly and I never have issues of any kind. He is always there to listen and answer any questions and to treat me with the up most care that I need. Overall I am blessed to have him as my doctor thank you Dr.Jennkins and staff for everything you do.

Dr. Jenkins and his staff are top notch and professional. Dr. Jenkins is one of the best psychiatrists I have had treating me for my depression and anxiety. He takes the time to listen to me in every aspect of my treatment. I appreciate his candor and honesty with me.

I have been Dr. Jenkins’ patient for about 14 years, and I will be with him until he no longer practices. Before becoming his patient, I went between nearly all of the other Amarillo psychiatrists, and I never felt heard or understood as a patient. This completely changed when I started seeing Dr. Jenkins. He is highly highly knowledgeable, he listens and actually takes my ideas and concerns into account, and on top of that, he is patient, understanding, and kind. He never makes me feel rushed to leave his office - he takes the time to talk if that’s what his patient needs. He never uses medical jargon and offers clear explanations; my visits with him usually are positive, even if I come in a poor frame of mind. My last visit with Dr. Jennkins really made me think he was welcome within my own family! I have not seen anything close as to what healthcare I have had over years and years as to what he provides.

I have seen Dr. Jenkins for years and you will not find a psychiatrist so versed in meds or so caring for his patients. Dr. Jenkins and his entire staff are some of the best, and make you feel like their only patient.

Of all the doctors I’ve seen, this is, by far, the friendliest. I couldn’t recommend him more.

Dr. Jenkins has been awesome! I recently switched to him after 4 years with the same doctor, and I feel like I got more attention and concern/care in two appointments than in the last 4 years. His office staff is great, as well!

Excellent psychiatrist!

We visited many Drs but nobody could figure out what’s going on till we visited this Dr. Everything been good for last few years.

Dr. Jenkins helped me more than anyone! I've been to lots of other Dr.s over the span of 15 years and He has really made a difference! He met with me and my family so I was really impressed from the start! Thank you so MUCH!!

I have been seeing Dr. Jenkins for over 5 years. He is a wonderful doctor and I have the upmost respect. His colleagues and himself are very caring.

This office is a joke. Their appointment scheduling and assessments. They are quick to accuse someone of drug use before they even ask for a drug test (which I was more than willing to provide) Dr. McNeil is who I saw and wanted to put me on seven, that's right 7 medications, to see what would be best for me.

Accused my wife of drug use before any of her labs came back. Totally unethical and ridiculous considering my wife. Mother of three. Just super attractive and not over weight. This guy is a total d bag and should not be licensed to treat chimpanzees. Your better off just realizing this is not the doctor for you before you show up.

Extremely helpful and amazing service. Dr Jenkins changed my life for the better. So thankful for his expertise. He is by far the best in Amarillo.

I was a patient of Dr Jenkins and before. He ever saw me I was judged and treated very unprofessionally and with no compassion at all. He had no concern about how I had been feeling or how I was doing on my meds. Etc. Just because a UA shoes positive doesn't mean you are a drug addict and that's what he said to me and didn't care to hear what I had to say or anything else. I just walked out!! I don't deserve being ridiculed and called a liar. Very Very unprofessional!!

I can not say anything about Dr. Jenkins because we never made it that far. My 78 year old father had an appoitment with Dr. Jenkins on 7/21/16, he is disabled and does not drive so I took him to this appoitment. This was his first time to be seen at this office. We went to the incorrect building and was given directions to the correct one. When we drove up to the building it said Laura W. Bush Insitiute for Women. No address was on the sign or the building. Since my father is a man I thought this can't be correct so we pulled in to the building next to it. It was the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center. So we went back to the Laura Bush Center and I went inside to see if this doctor office was here. It was so I unloaded my father and we went in to the appoitment. At this time we were about 15 minutates late, as soon as we came through the door the receptionist said "you are late, we will see you this time but in the future you must be on time for your appoitments or you will not be seen." I tried to explain to her we are sorry and that we were just confused because on the forms we received no mention was made it was in the Laura W. Bush Center for Women!!! She made a point of showing me the bottom of the first page of the form with the address highlighted. As I mentioned no address was listed on the building or the sign on the road... I bit my tongue and my father tried to make small talk with her but she kept her cold shoulder. She took our form and soon asked my father for his insurance card and drivers license. My father is disabled and does not drive so he asked if his military ID (with picture) would work. My father is a 100% RETIRED DISABLED VETERAN. She said no it needed to be a Drivers license... I am not sure why this ID would not do because last I checked it is a great form of ID only trumped by a pasport. (sorry to ramble) at this point she decided to take a photo of my dad and again he wheeled himself to a spot out of the way. A couple of minutes she popped up again and said "I need your signature on this page" I told her we did not fill out this page so I did not have my dad sign it. It says to sign that you have done what was listed on this page (contact your insurance) and that you understand how the insurance works for Psychiatry. Again we did not contact the insurance so I do not feel like we should just sign some form because it says to... As we waited I observed her talking quitely to another team member and rolling her eyes. I felt this was about us so I was becoming very angery!!! Needless to say my dad decided to just go and not see this doctor because of her front office person. Keep in mind this was our only contact with this office. No "Glad you guys made it...Did you have trouble finding us...let us get you signed in so we can get started..." just negative attitude. Needless to say we will not be going back to this office. I am so disappointed in this doctor! I had an appointment scheduled, which was a month or so out from when I called to schedule the appointment. The week before my appointment, I received a call from the office letting me know that the doctor would not be available on my appointment date and that I would need to reschedule. I was fine with that, except that the next date available was two months from my initial appointment date. I was and still am super disappointed in this doctor! This "business" industry is not very broad here in Amarillo and there are not a lot of doctors to choose from when attempting to see someone in this particular field specialty.
