Excellent Dr. Very caring to his patients. He did great by me and I would highly recommend him.

Dr Hill almost killed me just about 4 years ago. I have been afraid to speak out and only learned in hind sight that he should not have been given 3 chances to fix a surgery he messed up. I almost died because he did not connect the new stomach to the intestines correctly not just once but twice.. and in addition post care was non existant. He was dismissive and did not listen when I proposed complications. He just kept telling me how much weight I lost. I know how much weight I lost I do not need him to tell me that. He should be removed as a surgeon before he messed up anymore. I have since found multiple people who have had complications because of him. He is a butcher. I'm with the other guy highly unlikely this guy is a good doctor when he lets his stepdaughter act like this on his property. no respect for us neighbors and a child riding a jet ski? how is any of this ok?

Lacks class and any compassion. I can't speak to his ability as a doctor but he is letting his step daughter ruin my parents retirement on Tupper Lake. He's allowing her to have multiple parties a week at his Island home on Bluff island where all of the residents are retirees. 20 to 40 people at a time. I was supposed to come visit with my wife and three year old daughter during the 4th weekend but now we can't since she says she's throwing a huge party. They haven't seen their granddaughter since January. She has her ten year old son driving a jet ski which I think is illegal. Disgusting behavior. Get her off the island!!! Dr. Hill is an amazing surgeon and person in general.

So. Here I am in the hospital. I had my sleeve done Tuesday morning, it's currently very early on Saturday morning. This surgery is normally one or two day recovery. So why am I still here you ask? Bc Dr Hill and his team listened to me when I told them something was wrong. Did he or anyone else mess up during surgery? Absolutely not. I had a violent reaction to the anesthesia and threw up sooooo hard that I ripped my staples and was bleeding internally (thanks red haired craziness). This was Wednesday that this happened, afternoon I believe, but I was dying so the details are still a little fuzzy. Dr Hill was assisting in Rochester and he immediately came back to help. His staff and partner ran blood tests, had a ct scan, and were rushing me down to the OR within 45 minutes of me (barely able to speak) telling my mother to get the nurse. The nurse listened. She didn't hesitate. She saw that my vitals were wrong and she immediately took action. They saved my life. Some reviews call Dr Hill cold, but he's not, not at all. He's blunt, he's to the point, and he's in your corner the whole time. So thank you, Dr Hill, Dr Hill's partner whom I can't remember his name, the anesthesia team, Debbie, Jody, Cassie, and the rest of the staff here at AMC. So. Here I am in the hospital. What ever you do not go to this man,if you want to get bariatric surgery go to Plattsburgh or Vermont to have it done. When I went to have my sleeve done,Hill severely damaged my abdominal wall to the point I can’t work, workout or sleep properly. When I went back to him he dismissed me like I didn’t exist. I told him I was still in great pain after one whole year, he then told me “ I can’t fix it I will only make it worse” whoever is reading this and you value your live please find someone else to do the job. he was pleasant at the first visit..set up a procedure to be done for a family member....HOWEVER, he did not, in detail, explain the procedure fully to us...when we went for a follow up...and we voiced our concern re the explicit details..he became very rude and arrogant and had no regiment set up for the person...told us to do whatever works..point blank!! we will never refer him to anyone and will never make an appt to see him again!!!

Could not ask for a better surgeon, exceptional bed side manner, very honest and down to earth.

Post operative care is not happening the way it needs to. If you live more than just a few minutes away no other health center will provide the emergency care you may need.

On January 26, 2016, Dr. Hill performed gastric sleeve surgery and fixed a hernia. I have since lost 85 pounds and have my life back. Dr. Hill, his staff and the entire bariatric center are top notch and I highly recommend them. I have friends and colleagues who also had gastric surgery by Dr. Hill and all of them have nothing but glowing things to say.

Wouldn't let him work on my worst enemy. I was never a pairent of his but my father was . My father would still be here today if it wasn't for him .

He is like a walking bubble from a ginger ale bottle! Called me beautiful when I never looked so horrid in my entire life!.....Gall bladder was a disaster and I never was in such pain and I was in surgery about 2 hours after meeting him. I am so grateful.
