Dr. Hasz is an excellent professional, very humane, sensitive and with exceptional professional ethics. If you need the services of a spine orthopedic doctor, do not hesitate to visit him, it will be difficult for him not to feel in good hands.

Dr. Hasz was unafraid to move forward with care that would help me get my life and movement back, and it has made such a difference. I would absolutely do everything again and I'm really grateful that he continues to keep an eye on my surgical results and how they practically impact my life.

Dr. Hasz was the first doctor in 43 years to fully assess my post-surgery issues fully. He listened intently and provided me with direction. I was given multiple x-ray orders which now will lead to further testing. I'm thankful to have found him.

Dr. Hatz came highly recommended to me by a friend who used to work at Virginia Spine. I had a very bad hernia which caused me to lose my reflexes and function of my left arm. I actually went to VA spine first where they charged me an excessive amount of money for a diagnostic test I didn’t need. They also wanted me to do 2 artificial disk replacements. One for the disk that was herniated and one for the level above because they thought it could blow soon. I’m so glad I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Hatz. He looked at my mri and showed me why I was actually a very poor candidate for the artificial disk at the level that was not injured due to kyphosis. He showed me the measurements and what the disk recommendations were on the website. He also said you don’t do a disk replacement because you think it could blow. I am currently one year post op and doing great. I’m back to working out 5x a week and I’m so glad that I didn’t go with getting both disks replaced. I will say recovery seemed to take longer than was led on to be but I have young children and a pretty active lifestyle that probably played into that. Dr Hasz and staff are always caring and took so much time explaining the diagnosis and treatment options with me. Once I decided to have the surgery, Dr Hasz walked through everything with me and my family. There was clear, understanding communication. He was very patient with all my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Hasz to anyone.

I had a good experience with this office. I had surgery in September 2021, with pain in my right arm radiating down to my thumb and back. I had this pain for over a year and wished I had the surgery sooner. I feel great. If I ever need spine surgery again, I would come back to Dr. Hasz. The office manager Lynn is very kind and sweet. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone who needs spine surgery.

Dr. Hasz listened to my complaints and my fears. He answered all of my questions and fears patiently and explained the procedure and process well. I never felt pressured to have surgery and I was afraid, but he was very confident. He advised me as to diet before surgery - lots of protein and vitamin D - and followed surgery immediately with OT and home PT. After a year of leg pain, I was walking immediately after surgery and started outpatient PT at two weeks. At post op 3 months, I was able to resume all activity, and now at 6 mons. I'm planning a ski trip. I believe Dr. Hasz is a gifted surgeon and a delightful person. I feel blessed to have found him!

Great experience ! Excellent doctor, office staff very personable and efficient. Had surgery and the results couldn't be better. I'm back to taking walks in my mountain with my dog. Anyone with any back issues should see Dr Hasz. He listens and explains the problem and what he thinks will help. I refer anyone I know with back problems to him.

Dr Hasz has taken care of my spine issues more than once. He is always professional & caring providing solutions for care & pain. Dr Hasz repaired a herniated disk and was sitting at my bedside when I woke up! It doesnt get any better! Both Dr Hasz and his team are always caring and timely. Highly recommend.

Outstanding, highly recommend to everyone

Four months in and my cervical fusion is healing really well. All my pain and numbness is gone. Dr. Hasz has been great during post op appointments, reviewing my x-rays with me, and going over any questions I have. I'm very happy with the results and highly recommend Dr. Hasz. Lynn is always a pleasure to work with to get checked-in and schedule appointments. The office doesn't over-book, so I've never had a problem getting an appointment.

I had been avoiding surgery for the past 5 years, living with excruciating pain until I was referred to Dr Hasz for SI Joint Fusion. He has been a godsend and I would recommend him to anyone hands down. He has literally changed my life!!

I am grateful to have found Dr. Hasz after consulting other surgeons, He was thorough and patient explaining my issues and how he proposed to fix them. I felt very comfortable having my spinal fusion surgeries performed by him and was immediately relieved of pain so that I could resume normal activities like biking, gardening, hiking. Dr. Hasz continues to monitor my back with regular exams, which I appreciate. I'd never let anyone else work on my back, he's the best!

Dr. Hasz had to remove screws that were put in incorrectly and add some bone graphs. He went into detail describing the procedure and also had visuals to show me. Dr. Hasz answered all of my questions and was available after surgery to answer some of my concerns.

I could not be more pleased with my results post-surgery. From the beginning, Dr. Hasz made me feel so comfortable. I had no reservations or hesitations heading into surgery and my recovery was so much easier than I expected. I had very manageable pain and no complications. My only regret is that I didn't find Dr. Hasz sooner!

I have had back problems for years and he has me doing therapy and given me an injection I am doing a lot better now. I don't have the pain like I was having.

Dr. Hasz has been great through the whole process of undergoing another spine surgery after the first failed attempt. I was still having a lot of pain when i came to see him and he has completely changed everything for me no more pain

Dr. Hasz is amazing. If you are in pain, don't delay, this is the best place to actually find solutions that work. If minimally invasive is sufficient, you'll get the best of the best. If you need something more invovled, you're in great hands. Nothing short of amazing.

I was in moderate pain for the past 2 years, unable to perform my daily duties. I played tennis, gardeded, and walked several miles each day, but could not do any of these things. My surgery went as scheduled without problems, although I was not prepared for the postoperative pain. 3 weeks in, and I am feeling much better, and know that I will continue to improve and go back to my previous busy schedule. Dr.Hasz is a wonderful doctor and he was readily available to answer my questions over the phone after surgery. I definitely recommend him to friends and family who need spinal surgery.

Listen to my issues, took the time to describe my issues and the surgery he would be doing, the back and leg pain is gone. I had a lumbar fusion for spondylolisthesis, I was out of the hospital in two days, walking my dog two days after. No pain, just soreness

Dr. Hasz's surgical skills restored my wife's mobility after a dancing career led to crippling ligament laxity and other spinal and pelvic problems. Although not a hand-holder, he gives confidence by listening closely to the patient and demonstrating an authoritative command of the medical facts and possibilities.

I have been his patient for 17 years and have never been dissapointed. He takes time to listen. Would trust him with anyone I know.

This doctor is absolutely the best spinal surgeon the world has ever seen. He operated on me in the year of 2000 and restored my ability to walk. He listened and tested me thoroughly before ever operating. This doctor always looks for possibilities for his patients and the one day that he walked into my appointment and told me about a special trial procedure called BMP, changed my world forever. It’s because of this doctor, the trial procedure of BMP and the work of God that allowed me to have a chance to walk again and live a fairly normal life. Dr Hasz gave me back my life. I had a herniated disc that caused me the most incredible pain I've ever experienced. I'd gone to another doctor who was wringing her hands and telling me it was a terrible injury and would require surgery and it might not be successful. I knew if she seemed afraid I should be too. I decided to get a second opinion and fortunately got Dr. Hasz. He was confident and reassuring. Prior to surgery the spoke to me and said he couldnt guarantee 100% pain free but he would certainly make it considerable better. He did not promise pain free but that is what I have been for the past 12 years. If I ever need spine surgery again, I will return to that area and have Dr Hasz as my surgeon.

Extremely pleased with Dr Hasz & his staff. A surgeon that actually listens to you and gives you options. I chose surgery and I can't begin to say what a positive result starting the very 1st day after the surgery and now 3 months post op with more relief than I actually was hoping to get. I would recommend anyone to him.

I would & have recommended Dr, Hasz. Not only was he cutting edge, giving me the first artificial disc in place of a failed fusion, but he is very personable. I was always impressed by the thoroughness of each appointment. Although he is leaving VSI, I will still recommend Dr. Hasz wherever he moves on to.

After trying everything, including accupuncture, swimming, yoga, and physical therapy to ease my pain, I finally made an appointment with Dr. Hasz, who had been recommended to me. He immediately diagnosed a back condition that was not going to improve with any of the interventions I had tried, instead recommending disc replacement and straightening my back. It was immediate relief post-surgery (other than the recovery from surgery).

I am a 77 year old woman who recently had spinal surgery. I was hesitant about having surgery because of my age and I was worried about spinal complications. Due to terrible chronic pain and Dr. Hasz's opinion, I chose to undergo two surgeries in a four day period. One of these surgeries was an actual spinal fusion. While in the hospital, Dr. Hasz was very attentive and his staff and my care was first rate. My follow up care has been equally as good and I have had an excellent result.

Dr. Hasz uses physician assistants to deal with patient questions you would expect your surgeon to perform. He did accurately diagnose my need for a revision of prior spine fusion and his surgical skills are excellent on procedures he knows. However, he will not discuss any options which a patient has researched which disagree with his vision of the perfect solution. He is arrogant and unwilling to let the patient participate in the decision process. I would never recommend him to others.

He's brilliant. He presented everything to me in such a way that I understood my options, but clearly the decision was mine how to proceed. I had been in such pain for so long that I wanted the maximum surgery. Knowing all the risks and long recovery involved I really put my faith in him. I am so glad I did.
