Dr. Michael W Hammond

I’ve had four spinal surgeries and two colon cancer surgeries, and this doctor wanted to send me to pain management and have me prescribed buprenorphine. This was his response to me when I was asked what I would need for pain medication. Take in mind I told the good doctor that I only need one pain pill per day. And this doctor wanted to send me to pain management and give me a high-powered man-made pain medication that is known to make peoples teeth fall out. I am not a drug addict . I am a person in pain and this doctor cannot understand the difference. You go to this gentleman you get nothing when it comes to compassion and you will be asked stupid questions about why do you wear the type of shoes that you wear And do you cut your own fingernails because they’re too clean and your hands are too soft. I guess Dr. Hammond has never heard of somebody wearing gloves when they work. This doctor did nothing but make assumptions about me in my life instead of pulling medical records.

This is not a very compassionate and understanding Dr. He is very judgmental and narrow minded.

Dr. Hammond is professional, caring, and will help his patient in any way he can. He cares!

Dr. Hammond is my dad's doctor and I had the pleasure of meeting him when I visited last month. Since my pops has gone from a very active guy to struggling with some health issues the last several months, I was slightly concerned about his care in a smaller town. What I found was a fantastic, caring staff and a very clearly intelligent, observant, thorough, and clever doctor who took the time to both examine my dad's symptoms and cover all of our concerns, even though it was the end of the work day. I don't leave a ton of reviews. But, this one felt important. If you are looking for a good doctor, I don't think you could do much better than Dr. Hammond. I'm very grateful my dad is in his care. He did not check my medical history and used a spray That has caused unp!peasant side effects.

Doc Hammond {boss} as I call him lol. I thank God every single day that he came out if retirement!!! This awesome man and ms Opal and Beautiful Ms Misty, well... there’s not enough words in any dictionary that I can say how AWESOME, AMAZING, LOVING, CARING AND TOTALLY THE VERY BEST IF THE VERY BESTi luff them all so much cuz they ACTUALLY CARE!!!! In 2018, I was going through some really heavy and unhealthy and very dangerous crap, { like trying to commit suiside} three times and if wouldn’t have had these amazing people in my life, I would have succeeded!!! I owe them ALL... for saving my life each and every time!!!! So if you REALLY WANT SOMEBODY THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT FOLKS, YOU NEED TO GO TO THEM ????????????. I came into his office feeling so excited to talk to him about weight loss since I've been dealing w/ being overweight my whole life. I left his office feeling ashamed and like a failure because of how he spoke to me and how he spoke about me to his nurse outside my door w/ the door completely open for me to hear every word. I actually went in for a different reason (along w/ weight loss) and that issue was never discussed even though I had tried bringing it up a few times. Then I get a call the next day from him and in that conversation he gives me advise that no doctor should ever give anyone, overweight or not. I will not be going back to him and I do not recommend him at all.

He found out I saw a Dr at CCOM(I told him). RIGHT after that he dropped me as a patient after 4 years. From what I understand he had some history with them. He had no reason or excuse to take it out on me.I thought he was a better man than that. Pretty petty don't you think. If he doesn't. Like another Dr. or organization is no reason to take it out on me.But at least now I know the kind of person he is. Never had a hint, took 4years for it to show up.Really sad.
