Dr Gross is overpriced on Botox and Juvaderm, I had him take care of me twice, and started researching other providers. I found a doctor in Va Beach who offers it for much less and there is a discount offered if you have treatment done with him, they enroll you in a program that gives rewards.

Dr. Gross misdiagnosed a serious bacterial skin infection for hives. It took several appointments to properly diagnose my condition as a bacterial skin infection. I was seen by the practice for approximately 3 years, on a regular (often monthly) basis. Lindsay really helped me, but unfortunately she moved away in 2020. I have since moved on to be seen at a different practice. Aside from my positive experiences with Lindsay, my other experiences were overall, negative. I do not recommend this practice. You will find better care elsewhere.

His NP or PA treated a severe foot infection with great success. A podiatrist DID NOT treat this condition with any success at all. Thanks to this practice, the infection is healing and on the road to recovery. So thankful for the expertise at this practice.

Such a disappointment. My elderly family member waited for almost 2 hrs only to have a 5 minute visit and be sent home with no treatment whatsoever for a suspicious growth on her face that is only getting worse. How can this type of practice be allowed? I had to give a star to be able to post. Let me be clear, no stars should be given. Such a disappointment. I've been to Dr. Gross several times and every time I've had to wait for at least an hour before I see him. The last time I went I had an 830 appt so I waited in the hallway they didn't have anymore chairs so I sat on the floor and he comes walking down the hallway at 9 am!!!! So I wait another 40 minutes and a few of us are getting mad at this point and we're speaking about it and a lady leaving says well I had a 930 appt with him and I'm done. So the nurse there admitted that they just lay the folders on top of each other as you come in so if your at the bottom of the barrel your going to be there for awhile. Today I went in or a 940 appt. waited for 35 minutes the lady who came in after me went in a room and then a guy who had an appt at 10 went in a room that's when I said that's it I'm done cancel my appt.!!!! I would only recommend if you have at least 2 hours of your life that you can waste! He's way over booked and not punctual!!! After waiting for OVER AN HOUR (in the hallway--not the waiting room) to just be called back for my appointment, Dr. Gross had the nerve to suggest I could come back for "fun stuff" like Botox or fillers. As if I'd be willing to wait again. He was more interested in talking about himself and his kids than listening to my concerns. Plus, I had to not only write down all my information on the new patient paperwork, but then reiterate it to the MA/LPN before he came in, and then I had to say it all over again to him. Then, I had to remind him that I had another issue I wanted to discuss. He told me stuff, but rushed through and didn't ask if I had any questions or concerns. There's no question he was rushing to get through my appointment--I guess he must triple-book or something because he clearly isn't rushing to make the patients' wait any less or to take the time to read over medical files. The staff wasn't really friendly or professional either. I'll never come back here again. Dr. Gross cares more about his laser patients than any other patient. I was seen for cyst on my neck. He removed it and I almost passed out. He left me on the table with a fan blowing on me for over 10 minutes. He had to go assist a laser patient. His nurse comes in and doesn’t even tell me now to care for the stitches or anything. I had to remind her. I also had a rash on my neck that he didn’t care about. Took me 6 different creams to cure it. Lindsay Reck was the only one that helped with that. And to top it all off I have an ugly hole in my neck where it didn’t heal properly. I’m going to have to get plastic surgery now. I will never go back to him nor recommend him to anyone. My family use to go to him and every single one of us stopped due to his neglect and unprofessional bedside manner. Dr. Gross cares more about his laser patients than any other patient. I had been referred to Dr Gross by a coworker years ago. I went for a mole check, he did take a picture of a mole on my back and said he would take more over time and we’d keep a eye on it for changes. He was friendly but also very flirtatious, which I found inappropriate. I went back within a year to have Botox and get 2nd picture taken. He was so flirty that I actually had to say something about it to him. When he walked out of the room to leave his assistant to set everything up, she said she had been waiting for someone to say something to him for a long time! I was like I made an appointment for a professional doctor and his expertise. I’m paying full price for my procedure, he’s not giving me anything! I have men flirt with me often but I’m not about to pay someone to hear that bs! About half way home I realized he never took the second picture! I was so mad I never went back! I love a doctor who can joke around and have a great bedside manner, but there’s a line crossed when it feels inappropriate, period. Today it would fit in the #metomovement. That was 5 years ago. I recently had that mole biopsy to get melanoma diagnosis. ???? I had been referred to Dr Gross by a coworker years ago. My son had infected and inflamed acne on his face and back. Dr. Gross immediately began aggressive treatment and his condition improved within a few days. We continue to treat with Dr. Gross and are so grateful for his attentiveness and expert medical care! Moreover, he made an anxious teenager feel relaxed and confident! We highly recommend Dr. Gross. I saw Dr. Gross and the PAs in his office for about 3 years while I dealt with an ongoing skin condition which was eventually diagnosed as Erythema Nodosum. Eventually it healed (after about two years) and I started having laser treatments on the skin to try to heal the scars and had fraxel on my face which made it look like a crocodile. I hated it and stopped after two treatments though I had paid for three. Waits can be REALLY long here - like really. What really did it in for me was when I had two moles removed. The first was removed by a PA off my neck and it was small and healed perfectly. I had a really small mole on my kneecap that I always shaved over, nothing wrong or worrisome about it, so I figured the first went so well, why not! Well, Dr. Gross removed that one and the gal who numbed it was new and put WAYYYY too much of the numb stuff inside it - it swelled up like a goiter and it was barely larger than a pin head. So Dr .Gross came in and literally scooped a giant hunk out of my leg. It oozed, it bleed profusely, it took over a month to heal (the other was an even scrape and it healed in about a week). It scarred and it has left a huge dent in my leg. I was devastated. I had spent $1000s of dollars on my legs already due to my infection and was paying them to try to help me reduce the discoloration and scarring and here Dr. Gross did a worse job than his PA and had left another huge scar for an elective mole removal! I will NEVER return. It's awful. I saw Dr. Gross and the PAs in his office for about 3 years while I dealt with an ongoing skin condition which was eventually diagnosed as Erythema Nodosum. … More

Very very disappointed in the service here. First of all I was never disclosed the price for treatment upfront. I have insurance and was told when I left that I only owed $25.00 which I paid on the spot. I made my follow up appointment and called to verify my appointment time twice. I showed up and was told I would not been seen until my balance was paid in full immediately. I never received a bill or was made aware that there was even a balance due when I called twice to verify my appointment. To make a long story short, they refused to see me. WOW , REALLY!! The problem is still there and all they care about is demanding money. Plus I have a scar that now I have to go to another doctor to have surgery to remove!! Honesty it a great practice which this place should use. Very very disappointed in the service here. First of all I was never disclosed the price for treatment upfront. I was referred to Dr.Gross by my physician due to an apparent unrecognizable bite on my arms (while appear like circular burn marks). In Oct 2017 I was seen by Dr.Gross' assistant, because he was out (which I didn't know). I was not provided information regarding my bumps then in Dec 2017 the reappeared. Dr. Gross did not present empathetic or wanted to hear my concerns. I do not think it is fair how Dr.Gross treats people who come to him for services.

Went to Dr Gross for “ spider vain” removal. Two weeks later a chunk of skin fell off my leg, leaving a gaping wound. All he said when I showed it to him is, “that is going to leave a scar.” Here is some scar cream. It has been 5weeks and I still have a gaping seeping open wound. Have been seeing two other doctors for care.

I was excited to see Dr. Gross when I moved back to Virginia, but it's been nothing but headaches with his office. My hx of melanoma requires some urgency, something I have never gotten from him. I have had to call the office multiple times to get biopsy results long after they were promised and prescriptions long after they dropped the ball in providing info for my pharmacy to fill it. I'm getting my records and finding another doc. Horrible staff!

He refused to do a full body scan for skin cancer, which every other dermatologists does without having to ask. Then he insisted on having his assistant perform the treatment. I told him no way! Either the doctor does it, or I walk. He reluctantly did and and lectured me why he doesn't need to do it. Finally, they tried to stick me with the bill even though I was covered by insurance. They were incapable of submitting the claim properly to the insurance company. We had to call three times!

Approx. 8 years ago, horrible experience with Dr. Gross with permanent damage. After having several bs cancers removed from face, asked about unrelated dark areas at inner eyes. Long story short, he injected juvaderm (I knew nothing about juv.) all over my face. Horrible bruising for weeks. I now have permanent swelling under my eyes. I feel like a guinea pig as he obviously didn't know what he was doing with the way he proceeded. Was told if not happy, money refund. NO REFUND though.

Dr. Gross and his office are the worst I have ever visited. Plan on taking off a half day of work. If you are lucky to be taken to a room within an hour, you will sit there for at least another 30 minutes. There are always students who see me first who barely check my skin. Dr. Gross spends more time talking about his boat or fiddling with his awful music from the 1920s then hearing my concerns about my skin. He does not respect his patients.

Every appointment resulted in waiting at LEAST an hour, even w/the first appt of the day.At my last appt, I waited 1 hr & 45 min, only to hear Dr. Gross on a personal call inquiring on how he could get kosher bagels delivered for a Bar Mitzvah in Jan-this was 11/9/15.He had a patient waiting almost 2 hrs and had the audacity to make a personal call.I left and told the receptionist why.The next day I left a msg for the office manager, who never called me back.Unacceptable.
