Michael Gordon

Raised his voice and scolded me for being in his clinic after having cosmetic surgery. He said several times that he sees patients only for reconstructive plastic surgery. I understand that and I had a referral from my primary doctor for wound care. If he has a problem with me being there, he can take it up with her instead of making me feel embarassed and stupid. He appeared to not want to help me because I had to ask him to look at my incisions and ask him to tell me if they seem to be healing well and ask him what I could do ongoing. He didn't listen to my questions or concerns.Instead of asking me to clarify , he was rude and even nasty. At one point, I asked him to inspect a discoloration that felt like it had scar tissue underneath it and he shoulted, "I don't know what that is or how it got there!" He said I should be there for wound care. I told him that is precisely why I was there. I asked for suggestions on bras for me and he kept saying it depends on the patient. No help.

I had a twenty year old non- union fracture of a bone in my wrist. After surgery Dr Gordon informed me that it may need additional surgery tens years after this. Well, it’s been twenty years since the surgery and wrist is as good as it can be. Due to the years I worked with my broken wrist, arthritis had moved in years before the surgery, so I do not have the full movement as my good wrist. That’s the price for not having the bone fixed twenty years sooner. But, it’s great to not have the pain I dealt with over those twenty years. Saved my hand when other surgeons said they couldn’t fix it! He IS the best. Takes his time and will always be my hero!

Under NO circumstances should you select Michael Gordon as your surgeon. A rather simple surgery to remove a small mucus cyst on my finger, evolved into a terrible nightmare. After the surgery, I told him that I felt my finger was infected and asked for an antibiotic which he refused to prescribe. I developed a SEVERE staph infection. It is a miracle that I did not lose my finger. I filed a complaint w/ the hospital and CO Medical Board. They absolved him, failing to protect the public. BEWARE

Dr. Gordon is a meticulous surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner. He spends a LOT of time with each patient and thus is always running late. He's worth it. Bring a book.
