Saw him 10 years ago. Had surgery. It wasnt cheap, but haven't had a single hemorrhoid ever again since then. Worth every dollar.

I should give negative star for this person.. never ever go under surgery with him.he has no idea about medicine. Beware...

i would not give this so called doctor one star he has ruined my life he has caused permanent damage to my rectum he preferred a surgery that should i have fairly quick recovery from the moment i woke up from surgery to this day i can’t control my bowel he also managed to make me have a open sore that will never close nor will the muscles in my rectum will never work again i had no control at all for the 6 months after my surgery he processed to inform me that there was a medication to help harden my stool at this point i had lost over 30lb at this point i was so weak i could hardly get out of the bed i was very angry because all along he new of this medication yet he waited all that time he i would a least have my stool hardened i new went back i went to a specialist that said it could never be repaired the only thing that will fix it is a cocloumy bag not only is it very painful it is embarrassing the doctor has made me suffer everyday i should haves sued him because i would hate for one person to experience what i went thur at the hands of this man!!!!!!! i have read all the reviews and the reply’s it some how it never his fault the man should never by a loud to practice medication another day!!!! my live will never be the same i thing he does thing that he knows well cause people harm!!! Very matter of fact. Took care of my issues with a great deal of compassion and respect.

i live everyday going to the restroom one myself won’t even know no i have no life he has taken my freedom not only that i live in pain because i have an open cut that will never heal... he has no right to be a doctor please don’t use him

A few years ago-I suffered from internal & external hemorrhoids that bled profusely and often left me being hospitalized and needing a transfusion. We found Dr. Fox online and immediately made an appointment. After my initial consultation-my surgery was scheduled. Dr. Fox explained the process to me and even told me to stop taking all of the medication that I was prescribed at the time. This made me very apprehensive-but I stopped taking the medications. The day of surgery-he came in and told me that after surgery-I would have no further issues with hemorrhoids-again I was apprehensive. Surgery was completed and was successful. Everything healed correctly. Follow up visit was quick and painless. The surgery was approximately 6 years ago and I haven’t had any issues! And he was correct-I no longer needed ANY of the medications that were previously prescribed! I highly recommend him to anyone having these type of issues! If I never see this man again it will be too soon. I was sent to him by my primary care and they both recommended the stapled hemo surgery . He said I wouldn’t have a problem after this , that the surgery was minimal pain and every word he uttered was a lie . I still have them, he is a nightmare, the pain was unbelievable and now I have pelvic insufficiency and Levator syndrome due To the surgery he did and trauma I endured at St Francis under his care . Absolutely horrible. They are all rude. The receptionist and the doctor. Cuts you off when you are talking. Try’s to make you feel like he is more superior than you are. Left in pain , rather than feeling better. I would not recommend dr Fox.

Truly a bizarre and disturbing experience. Dr. Fox is nice and seems normal, but the woman running the office, Renee, was bigoted and mentally unsound. The office interior is small, cramped, dingy, and smelly. They have no computer system, which means that Renee had to enter everything by hand and is totally unable to look up insurance information. I was informed none too politely by her that "well, if you're lying about having insurance, you'll have to answer to God." Then I got a speech about how she's a Catholic and a good person who never lies. I didn't really know what to say. As a secular humanist who was born Jewish, I kind of don't like getting the whole "make sure to be good or you'll go to hell" speech - which by the way Renee felt the need to deliver to me once more in the, oh, hour and a half past my appointment time that I had to sit there. During this time, I watched her call waiting patients by the wrong name, snap at people, get totally confused, give the excuse of "it's a one person office!" about five times... and then, Dr. Fox pulled me aside and he said, "I'm sorry, we won't be able to see you." (this was an hour past my appt time) I was in severe pain at the time so I was pretty upset to hear this, and asked why. He said "nothing against you, but we've had a lot of insurance fraud come out of Missouri." Trying to be calm and respectful, I told him I didn't know what the connection was or why he was talking about Missouri. I told him I'd never been there. He said "well where are you from?" I pointed to my license which read Florida. He asked me "why does Renee think you're from Missouri then?" I told him he would probably have to ask Renee that question. I tried to laugh about it, laugh it off, and I told Renee it was okay, I get people assuming I'm from Missouri all the time. She coldly replied, "I'm not going to talk about it." Um... okay. This whole time, Renee was so completely behind and seemingly lost at the basics of doing her job, that I didn't even get my new patient paperwork until ALL the other people had been seen and had left the office. I was rather horrified, also, to watch her speak loudly and slowly to a Middle Eastern couple as though they were idiots. It was pretty much the most racist thing ever. She called them up to the window, and when they came up to the window, she condescendingly asked them what they wanted. SERIOUSLY. It seemed like in the five seconds it took them to get from their chairs to the window, she FORGOT that she had called them. Then they explained who they were, and she said "you're just going to have to sit down and wait." They said "you just called us, what would you like us to do," and she said, sharper and louder, "what I would like you to do is you're just going to have to sit down and wait your turn!" I tried to shoot them an apologetic glance, like, "I'm so sorry that this is happening, I share your embarrassment and shock," but understandably they spent the rest of the time looking at their feet. I really should've left at literally ANY point during all this, but I was hurting and just wanted some help. What I didn't want was one final lecture about how if I didn't hurry up and change my license over to TN, then I would get arrested by the Bartlett police and thrown in jail. I calmly told her I wasn't driving, and in fact did not drive much, due to my disability. She demanded to know why my license was from Florida. I told her, trying at this point not to cry, that my mother had just died and left me her house, and that until probate was fully settled I had been advised to just leave my credentials as they were, as it would simplify things. I don't think this woman knew what "probate" meant. She sort of stared dumbly at me, so I just thanked her and left after my exam. I do not recommend this place. I hope Dr. Fox can find himself a competent, intelligent assistant with computer literacy soon, because he truly does seem like a nice man. And I hope Renee can eventually get some help. I would not give Dr. Fox a star at all. I had the most horrible surgery any one can image. Had a staple hemorroidectomy surgery. The pain was beyond a 10. Went to him 4 times after surgery. He said I was healing fine. Developed fecal incontinance, he said he didn't know what that was. Had rectal ultra sound, said rectal spasm. Still bleeding, pain at bowel movement and fecal incontinance. In June went to another Colon-rectal Doctor he said titanium staples were used. Dr. Fox said staples were dissoluble. Then went to University of Tenn. Colon- Rectal Doctor and said he had never seen a hemorroid surgery like this. Both Doctors said I would have to go to Cleveland, Ohio, to the Cleveland Clinic Hospital and find a doctor to remove staples from annul area. He put staples on the nerve line in annul area. Found a Doctor who took out a ring of staples and 4 titanium staples deep in muscle wall. The surgery was a success. The surgery was a rare and unique surgery. A long healing time ahead. Dr. Fox is a liar, money hungry and rude. His receptionist Rena, is also rude. The office doesn't even have a computer. This office should be condemned by the health department. You are taking your life in your hands if you use Dr. Michael Fox. He needs to retire now. The two Colon-Rectal doctors I saw, their nurses told me that you wouldn't believe the patient's they receive from Dr. Michael Fox who do surgeries on them were botched and the doctors had to fix his mistakes. Also, I called and asked for my medical records. I never received them by mail or fax. So Dr. Michael Fox broke the HIPPA law. Wanted me to come in and go over with me what records he would release to me. I have lived a horror and a nightmare of a life for fifteen months. S E I would not give Dr. Fox a star at all. Don't use this doctor. Botched my staple hemorroid surgery. Had to go to a doctor in Cleveland, Ohio at Cleveland University Hospital to have staples removed. Have been horrible pain for 17 months. He is a liar, money hungry and very rude. Sued him for medical malpractice. Of course he denied everything. I wonder if other patients have experienced his butchered operations. .

I totally agree with other comments. It seems like they are interested more on your money. Save your time and money.

Worse doctor I have ever seen!! Very non professional and ill mannered. Will never go back to him and if anyone has any sense, they won't go to him at all!!!
