Excellent Eye Doctor

I went to Dr. Egger years ago and remember telling him that I saw better in my previous contacts. He told me I was wrong and that my prescription was perfect. It was not. I needed up going to Eye Health NW to correct the mistake made by him. Fast forward 15 years and I see not much has changed. A family member of mine is now having issues getting contacts ordered by his office approved by the doctor. He was leaving for vacation and called in to pick them up.. still not approved the day before he left. That same night at 7pm was called and said they were approved. Went on vacation as there was no way to pick them up. Two weeks later stopped in to pick them up and was told they were still not approved. Got a call half hour after leaving his office telling him they were approved. I can only surmise that with all of the negative reviews online and the only reading material being of Christianity, his practice is fed underneath the guise of this hypocrite being ‘a man of god’ who berates his staff behind closed doors. It seems his congregation is what has kept him afloat. LOVED the google reviews where he goes on and replies. The negative comments are about him and he never takes responsibility. As someone who has been seeing Dr. Egger for years (pun intended), I can honestly say this is the only time I have received first class treatment from someone in the medical profession. Very thorough, professional, obviously extremely knowledgeable in his field, and proven over many years of service. If you want first class treatment, see Dr. Egger! Called multiple times the past two weeks to get my husband an appointment. I was told the first time that the regular appointment girl had left for the day because she was sick. Left name and number with a gentleman. Waited two days, no return call. So I called again, left a message, no return call. Did it again the following week, again no return call. Best eye doctor ever! Takes his time with patients and explains everything to you clearly. Been going here since I was a kid and couldn't imagine going anywhere else

Have been going to Dr Egger for over 15 years. He has taken care of my eyes for medical, contacts and glasses always taking the time needed and true concern for the health of my eyes.

Best Eye Doctor I have ever been to. Everything has been spot on and my vision now with his detailed examination is better than anyone I have talked to. I’ve gone to de.eggar since I was a kid and it’s such a nice environment and their very nice people. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a new eye doctor!

Simply do not go here. The doctor is Extremely rude to his employees and makes the experience very awkward. He yells at the staff like no one can hear him and have even seen him grab one of his employees. Very unprofessional and simply wouldn't go there again

Took a family member in, and the appointment took nearly 3 hours, for a simple vision check. The doctor was also quite rude to his employees, as other reviews have said. Not surprised with the high turnover rate. Poor time management skills on his part. The other staff was completely lovely, no complaints with them. Will not be returning after we pick up the frames. Dr. Egger is one of the best Eye Dr. I have been to. I feel that Dr. Egger took his time with me to make sure I had a thorough exam, and that I understood what he found, and answered all my questions. He did not make me feel like I was just a paycheck, with just a quick come in and quick leave within minutes. He spent time with me and found something in my eye that other eye Dr's had never even explained that I had. This is now being watched closely and if Dr. Egger had not found, it could have turned out bad without me even knowing. He also took care of my 12 yr. old son. Dr. Egger found something in his Retina, that we now have to keep an eye on, this could have turned out that my son could have gone blind, if it was not for Dr. Egger. I will hands down go to no one else but Dr. Egger and wait if I need to, in order to make sure my health is Good and I have no issues with loosing my vision. I have seen Dr. Egger for years. He has the most thorough and comprehensive eye health exam I’ve ever seen. I especially appreciate his high tech medical equipment that effectively, easily and painlessly monitors my eye health, including some family history of medical eye issues. I HATED having my eyes dilated so I’m so thankful he offers an easier alternative that can track and my monitor my eye health each year. My kids are now in school and they just had wonderful eye exams. My 5 year old son does not sit still well and yet, due to the doctor and staff’s skill and experience, were able to get a full exam done. my 2nd trader has been prescribed reading glasses and I can already tell a difference in the smoothness of her reading. I had an eye exam with dr. Eggers today and I am very pleased with his work and his professionalism and his concern for my welfare.

Was a long time patient here. They had turnover and didn't have an appt booked for my daughter that I had to make several months in advance. To top it off, they refused to see her even though they admitted they had been having this happen to them all week. Went to vista optical and they squeezed us in.

I have been a patient of Dr. Egger's for almost 20 years. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. I have had glasses and contacts, and he recently referred me to an excellent LASIK provider from which I got amazing results. I continue to go to him for annual exams and would recommend Dr. Egger.

The staff there is very helpful and friendly. Dr Egger had always been very nice to me and my family and always helped us out even when it comes to understanding our financial situation. Not only that but I was glad to hear even from some of my close friends tell me of times that they also recieved help and care that went above and beyond the normal scope of practice. Personally I have moved out before and I still traveled the extra time to see Dr Egger. Took my second grader in for a routine exam. Was encouraged by the care and thoroughness of the doctor and staff. Was prescribed low power reading glasses and noticed a dramatic improvement in child's reading. We didn't realize he wasn't reading up to his potential until we had the glasses. My family has been using Dr. Egger for over 20 years because of the caring service and high-quality results. Exams are thorough - even though he works quickly, Dr. Mike takes the time to explain what he is doing and why, what he has found and the necessary treatment options, and the health of the entire eye and what to watch for in the future. His optician is also great. She is patient and thorough. I need bifocals as well as correction for astigmatism, so fittings can be difficult, but she is takes the time necessary to get it right. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSNIESS HERE. Today I called 1 hour before close and asked if they could simply fax over my son's prescription. The woman said it would be over within 10 minutes. 40 minutes later I called back because the fax was never received. She told me she would send it right over. 15 minutes later I called for a THIRD TIME and they had already switched to their weekend voicemail message 5 minutes before they closed. My 7 year old son and I waited in Fred Meyer Optical for an HOUR for no reason and got nothing out of it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSNIESS HERE. Went for an eye exam to get a prescription for glasses. 8 months later I got a print out, only after asking bluntly for it! He said I had a dry eye syndrome and had me buy expensive drops and washes. Told me I shouldn't get a prescription until it was taken care of. He regularly would belittle his staff right outside the door. The walls are thin! You could hear everything. Very awkward. After about 9 months, I finally got smart and went somewhere else. The new place said absolutely nothing about dry eyes! Makes me think it is some sort of scam for money. Also the eye exams take about twice as long as one from any other place, so bring a lunch. I literally had a headache from one exam. After many years of putting up with the ridiculously long appointments and the disrespect he shows his staff my family has decided to find another doctor. I spoke with him more than once regarding the fact that he is constantly berating and belittling his staff in front of patients (or in the hall where he thinks we can't hear him) to no avail. The office has a high turnover rate as well. We stayed for as long as we did only because of his wonderful staff. Pam is the BEST and I have no idea how she has lasted as long as she has.
