Michael Thomas Eckstrom

Dr. Eckstrom has shown very serious concern for severe pain from a previous TKA done by another hospital. He carefully used non-invasive alternatives to narrow down the sources of the problems and with the advice of other physicians and his own experience he found the need for a complete and full hip replacement. I had serious doubts that the hip was causing the other problems, but his techniques and trials showed me affirmatively that he had found the exact source of the problem, A complete x-ray showed a Grade IV deterioration of the hip joint which directly affects the knee. I found him to be a good listener, he responded with wise answers, showed concern and did not immediately dive into a simple decision. Yet, the painful waiting was hard, but I look forward to his expertise in doing the full THA.

Strongly advise you NOT use Dr. Ekstrom. His treatment of me was disrespectful, inconsiderate, and very disruptive to my life. After searching, we have found a much more qualified surgeon at twin cities orthopedics.
