Dr. Michael James Drass

I had so much back pain only time it didn’t hurt was when was sitting. Couldn’t even tie shoes. Sister in law told me talk to family Dr. About Dr. Drass pain management. After seeing him I had injections and it’s unbelievable how the pain is completely gone. It didn’t happen overnight it took a few days. The staff are wonderful and caring.I recommend them to anyone suffering with back pain. Thank You Dr Drass and Staff!

I would NOT recommend this medical group to anyone, including people I don’t like! The receptionists are nasty and the doctors are rude. There is no help for people who suffer with chronic pain. From the front desk to the people in the back, everyone thinks they know it all and quite frankly, none of them have a clue. I have never been more disgusted with a group of ‘so called’ medical professionals in all of my life. The degenerative disease(s) in my spine are debilitating and life altering, yet the only thing anyone at Allegheny pain cared about was whether or not I am a drug addict!!! I didn’t even ask for pain medication, but wanted to hear what my options were and I still don’t take pills! There is no relief for those who suffer constantly with pain from head to toe. This isn’t my fault... having a broken down body isn’t my choice... and if I could be as healthy as most of the people working there I wouldn’t have anything to complain about. You send people like this to a class or 2 about how to spot a liar and they think suddenly they are able to solve all the crime in the world!!! Lol which is funny, because I am a police officer (they don’t know it) but they have no idea how to read people! Never never ever going back... and will never recommend! This place is a joke!

My Mom has been going to Dr Drass for years and she absolutely loves him. He’s the type of doctor who not only knows what he is doing but he also has great bedside manners, too!!!

I just think the world of him. He cares for patients. As the other person said he gave me my life back.

Never was seen by dr dreads only his pa when his pa suggested a nerve block I went in for it and it was so painful I could not continue with the trial run. And I had to call him the next day. When I called I asked for somethingto relax me or sedate me to get the procedure done and was told they don't do that. Dr. Drass has been prescribing my brother with Opioides for over 5 years. I'm sure he is addicted as if he does not have his medication with him he starts to withdrawl. What happened to weening patients off after the appropriate time frame. I'm sure he will always feel that he needs it because your intolerance for pain becomes heightened. This is not helping our opioid crisis in Altoona, PA

Very unacceptable. Could not explain why my constant and chronic back pain for over 5 years was caused and why the back injections were not helping other than to suggest additional injections that were not working. Kind, genuinely listens to patient and looks to help get patient healthy again. Staff is pleasant and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for more than just pain solution. Dr Drass helps give back your life!
