Usually I don’t write reviews on doctor or their office service but unfortunately this time my bad experience forced me to write about their service . Phone service is very bad there — they don’t pick up call and if you left a messages many times they don’t call back . I had call them over and over . When I made next appointment the person wrote the day I was there and wrong time . When I called to confirmed , she said the time booked and she can’t give me that time . I need to rescheduled. Even though it’s their fault but I have to rush to keep the time ,she told me to. Not the time she wrote on appointment card . If anyone go there please check the appointment card time & date before you leave .

I give them one star for answering the phone to give me an appointment. Called back 6 times - 6 times!! Randomly over the space of a month And left 6 messages and no one ever called me back. Can’t imagine anyone going here for medical care…… yikes

Had an infected nerve that was keeping me up at night in pain for a week. My General Dentist told me that I had to see an Endodontist. After doing some research I quickly found out that most Endodontist do not take insurance. Luckily I came across Dr. Collura’s practice not only does he take insurance but he was also a great Doctor. I have now had 6 root canals performed by Dr. Collura and could not imagine a better experience. The procedures are both painless and surprisingly quick.

I had mixed feelings coming to this office after reading the reviews. But I took the gamble and couldn’t be happier with the results. The office staff was cordial and the Dr. Collura is very professional. My experience there was phenomenal. Starting from the time I waited to the moment I got my procedure done. I went to Dr. Callura after my dentist recommended an endodontist. Dr. Callura examined me. He told me to come back after a consult to give me a new medicated filling. When I arrived today, for the filling, he said he didn’t tell me to come back and that he told me to go back to my dentist to do the filling again. He said he had told me after my dentist re-did the filling, then if that didn’t work I should come back to him. He flat out lied. And then he tried to save face by saying that he did put in his notes that he would do the filling for me after his report was sent to my dentist. He didn’t give me a report to give my dentist and I told him so. He then blamed his own receptionist for not sending the report to my dentist! He never told her or me that the I should go back to my dentist or that a report should be sent to my dentist. He tried throwing his own staff under the bus to cover his own mistake. Then Jenny the office manager refused to reimburse me the $75 consult fee after this awful treatment. I traveled far for this horrid experience, and I lost 3 hours of valuable time i could have used to see a different professional. Waste of time, $, and lots of aggravation. This office is extremely disorganized and unprofessional. They don’t go by appointment time, they go by who arrives first, so it doesn’t matter when your appointment is, they’ll let people skip you. The receptionist is extremely rude and takes forever doing everything. I’ve never waited less than an hour and a half to be seen at this office. Apparently you either need to show up super early so you can cut everyone who has an appointment before you or you need to show up 2 hours after your appointment because that’s when you’ll actually be seen. The doctor seems to do a good job, but because of the wait and the awful receptionist, this is a one-star office overall. This office is extremely disorganized and unprofessional. How is this practice still in business???? They never answer the phone, the receptionists put you on hold for countless hours, have been trying to schedule an appt. for over two weeks. The receptionist told me that she had to restart her computer and hung up on me, very unprofessional. I only put up with this treatment because I saw Dr. Collura in the past and don't want to switch Dentist, but I'll have to switch, very bad for business. Update: 5 months later and still can’t get my root canal done. If I lose my tooth it’s because of this practice. I give up, will be seeing another Dentist, out of network, paying out of pocket and putting in for reimbursement. If you have DC37, this is your best route. Update: Thank God DC37 has changed carrier to Delta Dental which has a larger network of Dentists. No longer have to put up with this poor service. How is this practice still in business???? I've had two root canals with Dr. Collura, and both went off without a hitch: minimal wait time, no pain, excellent results. Highly recommend.

Dr Collura it’s probably the best endodontist in New York City. Extremely competent and confident in what he does (I should know I am a doctor myself). He handles even difficult cases well. I highly recommend him to my family and anyone else for that matter.

Perhaps the best and orthodontist in New York City. Extremely competent even with difficult cases. Would definitely recommend him to my family or anyone else for that matter.

Dr. Collura is the best. It was my first visit to his office and he made me feel at ease during my root canal and kept me updated about what he was doing the entire time especially when i started to feel like i couldnt sit any longer. I would definitely recommend Dr. Collura to friends and family!

This review goes for the stuff, not the doctor. The rudest staff I have ever dealt with in my life. Be prepared to be treated extremely unprofessionally.

I arrived at my appointment unfortunately without my written referral. Jenny at the front desk was so helpful in guiding me in contacting my dentist to have it faxed over. Shortly Lydia brought me over to the chair and offered small conversation making me feel at ease before my procedure. Doc Collura came in and was friendly, upbeat and on point (very clear in what was to be done/instructions after visit). I like many others hate the idea of sitting helpless in a chair while someone scrapes, pokes and drills inside my mouth but the great music (Classic R&B, Soul) and friendly/helpful staff (Doc. Jenny and Lydia) made it an easy choice not to only return if I need something done but to recommend them for your Endodontics & Endodontic Microsurgery needs. First I have to admit prior to going to this dental office I read all the reviews. They were to the negative in reference to the staff. I mentally prepared myself for the experience. And was totally surprised how pleasant the staff treated me. Dr. Parker and her assistant treated me very well and explained everything thoroughly. Dr. Parker did a wonderful job, I had two root canals treated for infection and it was pain free. And I would recommend dental office. The receptionist those two lady's very unprofessional, they are have bad attitude whit the patients. they was nasty with me.

When i called the office asking if a dentist could see me as i was in extreme pain, she said, "Yes in September." I called in July. i asked if there was a way to fit me in. "No" she said. And this was after i was put on hold for 5 minutes. Not very professional.

I had a root canal done by D.Raven Drummond. She was awesome, quick and professional. She explained clearly what was being done and how long it would take. It was painless and relatively quick. Only discomfort was the healing process but it was minimal. Staff was friendly as well. Totally would recommend. Thanks

The dentist is great! I'm just not happy with one of the asian assistants, I'm in the waiting area sweating up a storm and I asked her to please put the AC, maybe 20min go by it got so hot again, I had to ask her again to please put the AC on. Very good DR make 3 root canal I’m recomendé is very good friendly never have problems

Dr. Collura does Awesome work! He works swiftly and he definitely gets the job done. He's a professional and extremely skilled. You can clearly see that he enjoys his profession. He would be my first recommendation for anyone requiring a root canal.

He’s such a nice guy! Both Dr. Colluras, dentist (Bethpage) and oral surgeon (Commack) are amazing professionals: smart kind and efficient. Dr. John Collura was gentle and polite with extracting my tooth. Totally comfortable and confident. Left his office feeling like a big baby after all the years of fearing the dentist after having maxillio facial surgery! I will call his office this week for another appointment. I highly recommend!

Dr. Collura did 2 different root canals and everything went great!! No pain at all and he makes sure you're numb :) The best experience with root canals ( I have had other ones done in the past ) Took 30 minutes for each root canal. Very caring and efficient doctor and his assistants are great!! Front desk Jenny and Hai are patient and very helpful!! Great place and great doctor ( he is definitely an expert!)

AVOID THIS DOCTOR! I was referred to him for a root canal because my normal dentist wasn?t available and it was an emergency. 24 hours after the procedure, my jaw and neck started to swell up, I started having trouble swallowing and the pain became unbearable. I went to the hospital emergency room where I was diagnosed with a staph infection in my jaw (the swelling was cellulitis), which the hospital said I most likely contracted through the root canal.
