I visited him a couple times he never really check on you health, the nurse only chk you blood pressure and dr just talk for 1 minutes along helping his student on side. He never took off from his seat. I would not recommend anyone seeing this dr.
My family member was discharged from the hospital with discharge instructions for services that required an authorization. We saw Dr Bishara at the beginning of December and he stated he would submit notes for the services. Three weeks later I called the office and asked if the authorization was approved. They stated they would call me back. No call. I called the office again the next day and same thing, I was told they would call me back. No call. I called on Friday December 23 and a lady answered and said to call back the next week. I explained I had been waiting for a call back and never received one I explained that my family members insurance was going to change on January 1 and we needed these services. One was for a nebulizer which helps with breathing issues and he needed it so he could do his breathing treatments. The lady said she would call me back that day. No call. I called agin the next week and explained again the situation. I was promised a call back. No call. I called the next day and asked for office manager. The clerk promised she would call me back. She did call and say something about the Doctor didn’t know we needed an authorization. I explained that he did. I sat in the room and he told me he would submit notes for the services. The clerk said she would speak with doctor and call me back. No call. I called on January 2 and low and behold I was told that the Doctor said my family member was no longer a patient of his. Doctor had more than 3 weeks to submit notes for services. In the past, authorizations would be approved within 7 days. When we saw Doctor at beginning of December it was the long time Doctor’s assistant last day. I suspect once she left nothing happened after that. Poor, poor service. Patients are in need of services and cannot get them because Doctor did not submit notes and even after calling multiple times he didn’t. There was plenty of time for this to have been done. Additionally , unprofessional and extremely poor customer service to not follow up with me on multiple occasions even after being promised they would.
This doctor is amazing today was my first visit and he was informative kind and very pleasant. He really took all my fears and anxiety into consideration. I truly appreciate him for his help. We need more doctors like this man.

Would rate negative stars of I could. He doesn't listen to his patients, runs a pill mill for Subutex and breaches confidentiality by demeaning and dehumanizing his patients. My girlfriend almost died because of his misdiagnosis and he responded by trying to have me banned from visiting her and calling me a troublemaker for questioning him. He specializes in addiction, yet treats his patients as if they are incapable of honesty or self appraisal. His rushed misdiagnosis could have killed her. She couldn't breath due to pneumonia, and he kept giving her narcan and decided she was lying about using huge accounts of fentanyl because it wasn't working. Turns out she was just telling the truth and he wasted valuable time and caused all kinds of family problems telling her family she must still be using fentanyl if the narcan wasn't working. My very elderly mother had an appt. which required a urine sample collection...which should have been handled by the office staff. When they didn't, the sample was botched. When I told Dr. Bishara this, he had the gall to shake his finger in my face, saying he was concerned about my "anger issues"??? I was not angry, I was annoyed at having to wait in the office another entire hour in order to accomplish this simple task. Since when does any doctor believe he has the right to shake his finger in a senior citizen woman's face? What colossal nastiness. We found another doctor that same day.
Most terrible experience. He just wants to push pills down your throat. I was there requesting help for my severe alcoholism asking for outpatient treatment but he keeps trying to prescribe more medications. That's not what I need I need a community and support system to get healthy again. He either understands nothing about addiction and how it works or he is getting big kick backs from the pharmaceuticals. He shouldn't be a doctor.
I was a new patient seeing the doctor for detox. Everything was smooth sailing until I saw the doctor. The girls in the front were very polite, understanding and accommodating. Once I got into the room with the doctor, I found a room full of people. There were 2 girls who were in there, they looked like family members. They were not in scrubs and did not look professional. I found it odd and uncomfortable that they had laptops and were writing everything I said down. In between my conversation with the doctor, they were talking to him in a different language. I did not feel comfortable or that I was able to be honest. Coming for help with addiction is already hard to swallow but having someone other than the provider or office staff in the room was very uncomfortable and very unprofessional. I plan on reaching out to the medical board for clarification, I feel HIPPA was not considered. I feel like the doctor was more interested in his conversation with the 2 young girls, than helping me. I was given a prescription for Suboxone but still have many questions that are not answered. I will not be returning unfortunately. Just a warning for other patients who may struggle discussing addiction with others.
My son came here after a motorcycle accident and what a nightmare. The front office staff is beyond rude and Dr Bishara isn’t any better. He made my son come twice a month for prescriptions and when asked why can’t he do a month at a time, Dr Bishara said and I quote “there’s no money in that” aka it’s more beneficial to him and his practice to charge for two office visits. This place screams low life trash. It’s dirty, questionable characters all outside in front and again the staff as a whole is horrible. Great doctor. Dr Bishara is so patient and kind. He really cares for his patients. He has always shown great concern and optimism. I am thankful to have found his practice.
I'm an ER RN that was required to do some extra credentialing requirements for the BRN. Dr. Bishara and his staff are wonderful. I recommend him highly. They helped me with my DCA forms, that I was distraught with worry about. Super awesome Dr. that I felt very comfortable with. Special thanks to Nicole, for completing my forms under the wire. I was a new patient last week who was referred by the nursing board. I made a poor decision, causing my RN license to be in jeopardy. The evaluation was very thorough and his insight was very knowledgeable. I called several offices from Roverside to LA, he was the most reasonably priced. The office staff was wonderful from start to finish. They were very prompt with getting my documents submitted to the State of California. I am thankful for the nursing board for recommending Dr. Bishara. The whole process was great, especially considering the circumstances. Thank you again!
He is a Fraud ???? and a Sumlord. I went to visit my Brother at the Apartments where this Doctor is also the owner and they don't fix anything. Has no lighting outside and it stinks from all the Cat's. It looks like an old run down creepy nasty Motel.
I will never go to this doctor again! His staff is rude and they judge you. I don't care what they say they judge you. Find someone else to help with med maint. He will treat you like a criminal. No stars!
This doctor has been prescribing my father suboxone for TEN plus years. On top of that he’s been prescribing him multiple pain killers and muscle relaxers. My father is a recovering alcoholic. For ten years, we’ve watched my father wither away mentally and physically, he has been gone since this doctor has been prescribing ALL of these medications (knowing my father was a recovering addict). My dad currently lays in a hospital bed After almost losing his life because of the number of medications he’s on and a relapse. All of the nurses and doctors were dumbfounded wondering how he’s being prescribed everything. If you’re reading this Bishara, what you’re doing is so wrong. Was a good doctors office once... Now it's been quite awhile since my last visit and they're billing me for one that never happened, for more money than visits regularly were. On top of that they're trying to charge me for a drug test that I never took for 10x (thats not a typo, literally ten times) what they were costing me when I had gone last time. Really sad, used to be a place that seemed empathetic to people in need, and now just seem to be your average overcharging Rx factory that the medical industry is all too well known for these days. I am so thankful I found this doctor! His staff is always friendly and he really listens to what you have to say and how you feel. I highly recommend him!
Dr Bishara, his staff and his wife Mary are all a disgrace to the medical profession or even human kind. Their office is disgusting, trash everywhere, homeless people regularly parked in front of their doors and walkways, needles regularly in their parking lots and just clutter. Dr Bishara has multiple disciplinary actions against him and nearly 4 dozen lawsuits (all public info) The way this Dr and his staff conduct themselves is less than u satisfactory. They over prescribe medication only for financial gain.
I have been going to Dr.Bishara for many years. He is a wonderful doctor. He has helped me tremendously. If you are going to him for addiction treatment, he is the best doctor in this field. If you are serious about your sobriety, then he’s the doctor that will help you achieve complete sobriety. You can’t fool him if you relapse. He understands that you might relapse. But if you do relapse, you have to start from the beginning. Dr.Bishara doesn’t judge you because you relapsed. Since I see Dr.Bishara once a month he also takes care of any medical issues that I have and any medical issues that come up. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. I love this place. I highly recommend Dr.Bishara’s office. It’s a little bit of a drive for me but it’s worth it.
I have been a patient of Dr. Bishara for over 15 years. He saved my life in the emergency room, and I wouldn't think of seeing another doctor. He has an excellent staff who always treat me with the upmost courtesy.
My spouse has been coming to this doctor for more than 10 years. They overcharge. The doctor prescribes way too many medications. One of the medications is supposed to be short term but 10+ years later he still prescribes it. This is shortening my spouses life span. No joke. I don’t think my spouse will live another 10 years. Is so sad. Whatever happened to the Hippocratic oath. I guess that’s out the door. Just keep people hooked on drugs to make money. My spouse has been coming to this doctor for more than 10 years. Wow, where to begin. I have to say that I have come out the other side much better and now work as a pain patient advocate, but this Doctor screwed me up for a while. I had been in pain for 2 years, starting with some aches and stiffness escalating to 24/7 pain. Pain so bad in my hands and feet that I could not walk properly or hold a steering wheel to drive. I began to self medicate to hide my pain and shame of my pain and eventually escalated to lying about my chronic med use, taking meds that weren't prescribed to me. This caused huge problems, and when my wife found me stealing medicine from her, I knew I couldn't hide anymore. I grew up with the belief that all people who take drugs, even if prescribed, would become addicted. I know now that this is not true, but it was a powerful belief that pushed me into secrecy over openness about my pain. I was given an ultimatum by my wife to get help or find somewhere else to live. I did not even need to think about it, and that very day I went to my first appointment with Mr. Bishara. The price of the visit shocked me, but I thought it would be worth it to have freedom from meds again. Upon meeting me he looked into my eyes and said I was too "messed up" to start Suboxone, so I had to wait until the pain meds were more out of the system to even be seen. An hour later I was seen. The doctor was short with me when I asked questions, as if he found me to be tiresome. He spent most of the time taking to my wife about me as if I wasn't there. Some of the things that he said, the way he days them, and the way he spoke about me made it obvious that I did not have the same value as a person who did not take medication. He gave me a prescription for Suboxone and gave me the option of getting them at the office or going to a pharmacy down the street. I asked about getting them from my regular pharmacy and he said I could only get them from him or the pharmacy nearby. That rubbed me the wrong way, but I convinced myself that I was just being sensitive due to coming off the meds. I know that it was wrong to take pain medication from my wife who suffers from a painful combination of chronic diseases. I know I caused her pain. But he spoke to is in a way that seemed to praise her and condemn me. Even my wife noticed it, but poo-pooed it as him possibly just enjoying talking to another healthcare professional. I had to see him every other week ostensibly to keep him informed of my adaptation to being sober. He promised that my pain in my hands and feet would stop when I stop taking pain meds. The pain was from my addiction, even though my pain began before I started down that path. Every week my pain got worse, and every visit he told me it was in my head. He even told me that my complaints of pain, 3 months on, were "getting old" and acted like I was making it up. My hands and feet were red, swollen, and hot. Even with my wife worried that I was perhaps seriously ill and asking him to test my blood (CBC, inflammatory factors), he refused to and dismissed our concerns. At this point, seeing me go from active to bed bound and in tears from nearly every step I took, my wife took me out of Mr. Bishara's clutches and delivered me to a competent rheumatologist. Within a month it was discovered that I was suffering from a host of painful autoimmune, inflammatory, and genetic disorders. I suffered through unimaginable pain and abuse at the hands of and because of this man. A man so conceited, narcissistic, and self-important that he could not consider that the patient in front of him could possibly know their body better than him, could not consider a diagnostic and treatment path different from his one size fits all addict/Suboxone and taper, and could not stop whining about the lack of adoration and praise from his patients and the public to consider what role he played in that disquiet. Mr. Bishara, if you are reading this, please consider seeking help from a therapist. Your patients deserve a man whose focus is on patient quality of life, not quantity of praise. Wow, where to begin. I have to say that I have come out the other side much better and now work as a pain patient advocate, but this Doctor screwed me up for a while. … More

Save yourself the trouble from going to this doctor's office. The front desk staff is extremely rude, unhelpful and condesending. Dr. Bishara himself is not much better. There is a clear bias with patients. He visbaly friendly with some patients but then nothing but rude to others. We have been constantly reminding him for MONTHS for a referral that he can't seem to get done. On top of that, he couldn't wait to get out of the room when we were in there. While we were still talking to him, he was standing up and getting ready to leave when we had more to say. He closed his chart three times because he was packing up... He had to be reminded to go over blood work that HE requested and failed to mention a change in prescription until we reminded him about the blood work. He tends to forget medical conditions that have already been established frequently It's frustrating and insulting to be treated this way by someone who is supposed to care for you. Truly a shame... Dr. Bishara has been involved in my medical treatment for many years. He is warm and understanding as well as the paramount of professionalism. His office staff are the tops, very knowledgeable and ready to help with all my questions. I would like to extend the highest compliments to Dr. Bishara and his team. You will have to search Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles counties far and wide to find a doctor as competent and caring as Dr. Michael Bishara. Thank you for all the years of great medical care. Nick C. Friday April 26, 2019- Edit- I have been reading some of the negative comments left here and I am amazed. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however, I believe that some special circumstances must have occurred, something out of the ordinary, possibly an emergency, for experiencing a less than satisfying office visit. I have been a patient since 2008, and I have constantly and consistently received paramount services and care at this doctors office. So much, that I am going out of my way, now to encourage anyone whom may have felt they received sub-par care, to give this doctor another opportunity to show his professionalism. The front office staff, Nancy and Nicole, are very knowledgeable of the policies and procedures that are established at this office. I have received continued respect and attention, far beyond what I expect from professionals. Dr. Bishara, himself, thoroughly takes the time to address, ALL of my medical concerns, regardless of the amount of time required to speak to me. I would recommend Dr. Bishara and his team, to any friend or family member, seeking the highest level of professional medical care. It is with great zeal, and without reservation, that I take the time to write this recommendation for the professional and unimpeachable character and service, I received from Dr. Bishara. The Dr. is very informative and concerned with his patients. I went to him when I needed to prescription refilled but my Dr. was out of town. Even though it was a 45min. drive compared to the 5min. drive I was used to, it was worth the time to discover such a great Dr. whom really left me feeling like he was concerned with my problem and wanted to help. He didn't hassle me when I told him what I was there for even though I was a new patient but instead gave me much useful information concerning my health and future options for recovery. He is very smart and took the time to explain how everything worked and tought me things that other doctors have told me but went in one ear and out the other because they didn't take the time to explain. Dr. Bishara is by far one of the best doctor's I have ever dealt with. I came to him to see about laser lipo, but he wouldn't do it for me because he told me I wouldn't get the best results due to my being too overweight. Instead, he put me on a strict weight loss plan, and with his encouragement and medical advice, I've lost a substantial amount of weight and I'm in the best shape of my life-and all of it done naturally! I have honestly never seen a doctor care more about his patients.

You pay too much for drug screens and the visit itself is too expensive for the little amount of time you get to spend with the doctor. Sometimes you have to wait a while to see the doctor, too long. The doctor himself is a nice person though and he surely does care.

About 2 years ago now I was making an effort to get clean from the nasty Opiet problem I had and started dating a guy on vicitrol (a shot that lasts 30 days and blocks all Opiates from acting, as if they just fell of the face of the earth comeptly useless while vicitrol is in your system) that went to Dr. Bashara and was adamant about me too getting on vicitrol but unfortunately I didn't have Cigna heath insurance like he did and couldn't afford the 800$ shot and initial Dr visit office fee I was pretty bumed out and after going to his next appointment to get his shot and talking to the doctor dr. Bashara himself pulled some strings for me and because the shot was so new at the time when the next shipment came in he used his sample shot on me so that I could try it out and go from there and witch that process wasn't as easy as it sounded written down but out of his caring heart he took the extra time and effort to get me set up on top of that I got sick the first few days and he have me his personal number to get a hold of him in case of emergencys and called my boyfriend a few times to check on how I was doing. After i got better that shot got me threw the hardest part of recovering the part I just could never seam to get threw before. I was never his patient I was just an addict that was looking for help and was blessed to cross paths with Dr. Bashara.
