One of the things I miss about living in Connecticut is having the level of care you get here at Dr. Bernstein's office. I always enjoyed my time with him. His staff always remembered my schedule. Dr. Bernstein loves sports. To the point that I gave him a autograph picture of Sandy Kaufax. Sadly you don't get the level of care here in North Carolina that you do with Dr. Bernstein. I just wish he was here.

They are quick and get you in and out but you don't leave with questions unanswered. The staff and Dr is honest and nice.

Dr. Bernstein seen my son Francesco Adorno while he was here on a visit. I don't remember where the cyst was perhaps his ear. I do however remember how great of a Dr. he was. He knew what it was right away and treated it and send my son home with medication which cured the problem. I was impressed with his knowledge and his personality and how he just made you feel so comfortable. He's is what a Doctor should be. Thank you Dr. Bernstein I found your card and although it was a few years back just had to write review about you :)

Perhaps this will be considered an antiquated review of sorts, but hear me out. I saw this man from 1987-1990 as a little girl for my chronic ear infections. His answer was always "Surgery". He also tried suctioning out pus in office when I was 4 years old, and yelled at me when I was unable to sit still. By the time I was able to switch doctors, the new specialist needed to perform a surgery to undo the inner scarring around my ear drums. Maybe he had student loans to pay on in the 1980s, and that is why he always insisted on surgeries. But his bedside manner was atrocious and I wouldn't see him if he was the last doctor around to keep me from going deaf. Ronald Saxon for the win.

Went to determine why I have pressure in ears and popping. Told I had to have a hearing test…. Visit turned into a sales pitch for hearing aid sales. Didn’t care about pressure in ears. I received the bill and after insurance coverage….. owed $341…. For this office to say that I needed to buy a hearing aid! Be warned….

Amazing Doctor. Awesome staff!!! Love being a patient here!!! Recommend this practice to EVERYONE!!!

I recently had an urgent issue and left messages with 3 EENT offices. Dr. Bernstein's staff called back in 15 mins and even though they were very busy, they got me in to see the doctor within a couple hours. I was greeted by friendly staff and treated by Dr. Bernstein who is both competent and compassionate. Highly recommend.

Staff are awesome

Just came back from a visit with Dr. Bernstein and was impressed with him. He listened, was patient, explained things clearly, asked a number of times if I had any questions. His staff was friendly and efficient.

Very nice

After a very rough season of environmental allergies and the resulting sinus problems , I was referred to Dr. Bernstein by my doctor. I was able to get in within two weeks (I went on vacation first). Currently, the office is employing mask wearing and distancing, for which I’m grateful. The whole staff has been friendly and helpful. Dr. Bernstein himself has been great. He has vast knowledge and experience, asks good questions, and explains everything. He’s professional and compassionate. I’ve been there a couple times now, and plan to continue to have Dr. Bernstein as my ENT. Saw Dr Bernstein twice now and both times have been a good experience. Him and his staff are very friendly, patient and understanding which is very important to me. I need to feel comfortable and confident that they understand my concerns and do not make me feel like I am just a number and complaining, especially after I have had several health issues that were very scary to me. I am glad I found him after seeing 2 other ent's for the same issue and did not feel I could trust their opinion. Thank you Dr Bernstein and staff. I don’t understand the negative reviews here nor agree with them. I have seen Dr Bernstein on a couple of occasions and have referred family and friends to him. I have never found him condescending or rude, in fact just the opposite. He has helped take care of my ear problems and always spends as much time as I need listening to my complaints and answering all my questions. He explains the reasons for his diagnosis in words that you can understand. He makes you feel that he truly cares about your problem and he always tells you how it is and not necessarily what you presume or think you want to hear. His staff is wonderful and cares as well and goes above and beyond. I would highly recommend him.

I went to Dr Bernstein for an ear problem. He was wonderful and took a lot of time explaining things to me. He took care of my problem that other doctors had failed to do so. He is by far the best doctor that I have ever gone to and I would highly recommend him.

Great place with an awesome audiologist!

I strongly encourage you to find another ENT. I went to Dr. Bernstein for sinus pressure following a sinus infection and he spent the majority of the exam focused on my ears including charging me $200 to remove a small amount of earwax, which was unnecessary. He then tried to administer a hearing exam, which was also unnecessary. When I asked why we'd do a hearing exam for a sinus issue I was literally "shh'd". He didn't listen to my symptoms instead focusing on items he could bill me for.

I have never had to wait long ! Dr. Bernstein was nice and helpful! Pretty much new what was wrong with me. Always set up next visit to see how I was doing! Yes I like then staff very much.

I can't thank this practice enough for their kind treatment of me during my time as a patient. Sarah and Mr. Knox went totally out of their way on several occasions to take me in when they were fully booked! The administrative assistants were friendly and made me feel welcome too!!! Dr. Bernstein is truly a mensch to let lower icom people to have the privaledge of ear nose and throat services. Go to this crew of kind hearted people, you will be as enchanted with them as I was!!! Someone else said it well, arrogant and condecending!

I cannot speak more highly of Dr. Bernstein and his staff! I called at 3:00pm to get an appointment as a new patient and they booked me for 9:15am the next day (which was amazing!). His receiptionists were so personable and kind. Dr. Bernstein was also amazing - he actually sits and talks with you instead of pushing you out the door as so many Drs do these days. He explains everything to make sure you understand fully. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Dr Bernstein diagnosed my cancer while previous doctors did not. He literally saved my life. Out of all the doctors that were involved in my care he was the most complete and compassionate one. He spent over an hour explaining things and comforting me despite patients waiting to be seen. He even told me to call him anytime with concerns or questions. His office staff was equally caring and helpful. Thanks Dr Bernstein !

He performs the minimum and bills insurance the maximum.

**this site would not allow no stars, i had to say 1 star in order to post** NO STARS - RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL!! this is what happened to me: 1st i waited an hour past my appointment time. then when he comes in he says i was only being seen for my hearing not my nosebleeds. i said no i was scheduled for both and said no i wasn't and his staff would never book for both areas! i know what i scheduled! this dr was rude , called me a liar (he said he didn't say that but he knows his staff so i'm not telling the truth) which in turn i said i don't want a dr who calls me a liar to come anywhere near me and left with a F... Dr. Bernstein has been taking care of my grandaughter since she was born. She has had many problems with ear infections and ear perforations as well as tubes placed several times. He has always taken the time with her and always has fit us in when needed. His office is highly proficient and a relief to deal with because I know I won't have a problem. I would highly recommend him for any ENT problems.

Rude, arrogant and condescending! Go elsewhere!

Our agency has been taking our clients to Dr. Bernstein for years. Dr. Bernstein has been very patient and patient centered through all of our visits. Dr. Bernstein has work with our intellectual disabled population and has done a remarkable job. Thank you Dr. Bernstein for taking the time with each and every patient you serve.

I saw Dr. Bernstein today, I had a severe ear ache. His entire staff was wonderful. The doctor was kind and considerate but also matter of fact in his approach which is fine with me because I had a problem. Within minutes he solved my issue. Did I also say he agreed to see me within 24 hours of my call to the office and took me on my scheduled appointment time. Yes that's right no waiting 30 to 60 minutes in the waiting room to see the doctor. All all I can say is thank you doctor.

I was given an appointment the same day I contacted his office.The staff was pleasant and the wait time was short. Dr. Bernstein correctly diagnosed my problem which had been missed previously by a nurse practitioner and then a general practitioner. Dr. Bernstein's office treatment provided immediate relief from a very painful ear problem and it restored my hearing which had been affected by the condition. Courteous, highly skilled, experienced, thorough, explains everything well. Great doctor!

I had a horrible experience at this office. I waited months to be seen after being referred to Dr. Bernstein. I've had issues with my ears well over a year and it took me to call five times to actually be seen. When I showed up the doctor was extremely rude to me as well as his staff, he was more concerned about what he was eating for lunch rather than me being seen. I work in the medical field and have never seen such an uncaring and insensitive physician. It's was quite upsetting.
