Not impressed with this practice. The staff is rude and disorganized. I've been a patient for just about a year and I've had a handful of issues with them. From being sent for blood work only for them to submit the wrong orders and I had to go back at a different date for the correct blood work. They also scheduled a telephone visit and reminded me of it and then I have to call in to them to find out that the doctor should of had her calendar blocked off at the same time for a personal appointment for herself. And recently I've been informed that my prescription is called in to my pharmacy and when I go to pick it up the pharmacy had to do an emergency supply because they didn't have my order. When I called the doctors office to let them know and explain my frustration, they hung up on me. I would not recommend this office to anyone. Not impressed with this practice. I saw Dr. Barnard for the first time when I was 10 and he was in the strip mall next to Randall's. It's now 40 years later and I'm actually shopping for a new doctor's office. I called for an appointment and they couldn't get me in right away (which is unusual, but there is a pandemic), so my appt was for more than a week away. My prescription would run out in 5 days, so she said no problem, we will call in a refill for 2 weeks to hold you until you come in. Well, several calls later from me and the pharmacy and I couldn't get anyone to refill my prescription. I went 5 days without my medication. I'm sad to leave after all this time, buy my husband and I decided to shop around for a smaller practice where we may actually get some attention. Called to make an appointment and the receptionist was extremely rude. I was talked to like I didn't know the difference between my concerns.

This is a horrible doctors office to visit. I don't think their doctors ever work. I've attempted to get an appoint on multiple occasions with an actual Dr. and have not had any luck. Like most doctors these days they are only trying to make sells and not actually treat patients. This place is is just another doctors office filled with sales people and a mediocre staff. What’s funny was that the doctor there came up with a very ugly lung data and sent me- a 21 year old person- to a lung specialist (I told her I had trouble breathing probably due to stresses) and the pulmonologist told me that I had one of the healthiest lungs and that he didn’t understand why I was there. What’s even funnier was that the nurse or receptionist or whatever claimed that the guy I was referred to was within my insurance network. Came out that he wasn’t. So of course my insurance didn’t cover the visit. My lesson is to not trust what the doctors say immediately nowadays. So extremely happy that I saw the PA there Mrs Garcia, friendly staff and so attentive.

Been going to him for years. Really cares about his patients. He will truly missed following his retirement.

Dr. Bernard's practice has provided excellent care for my wife and myself over the past twelve years. Excellent staff.

Dr. Barnard is a one of a kind doctor who really cares and puts the patient first. He always made me feel comfortable and never judged. I am so thankful that I was able to have him as my doctor for the last 19 years. He will be truly missed in his retirement.

I have been going to this office since 2007 and I have never been disappointed. Every doctor an PA always made me feel like I was the only patient they had there at that moment as I'm sure that's the way everyone of there patients feel. I got a job 2 hrs away from Houston and I drive 2 hrs back just for my appointments... My coworkers tell me all the time to find a doctor closer to my job and I will not. Family has been going there for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else! Started there when Dr. Barnard opened his practice in a trailer on Jones Rd. Gives the best of care, and looks out for your best interests in all cases - both health wise and financially.

Some doctors become money making machines. How is possible that a patient has to pay for a consultation practically every time a refill is needed, especially for a simple heartburn pill? We see another doctor yearly, and he orders refills during that year by just calling him, without having to pay for a consultation, although it is a sleeping pill, which would justify more a consultation. Tired of the doctors/pharmaceutical companies mafia! Some doctors become money making machines. My only issue with this place is the fact I called to get a refill on a medication and instead of saying hey you now have to listen to this long message before you can give your info the lady placed me on hold without any explanation. I found it very rude when all she had to do was open her mouth and treat me like a human instead of just another person she didn't want to deal with.
