I was so impressed with Dr. Banda, his assistants and the entire office staff. I was greeted with smiles, kindness and a very eager, knowledgeable staff. Dr. Banda’s professionalism, knowledge and and compassion for my health and unique history was a welcome surprise. I’m anxious to see how everything goes from here.

I have been seeing Dr. Banda for years. He has always went above and beyond with my care. I trust his opinion and any procedures or surgeries he has to do on me or my family. He also did surgery on my grandson about 14 years ago. He just saved my life in October of 2022. My family and I are Blessed beyond measure to have found this surgeon. His bedside manner is also top notch. I highly recommend him to any and everyone.

I was treated with the utmost respect. Dr. Banda calmed (most) of my fears and was very honest and open. I give him 5 out of 5 stars. I feel that I am in the best surgeon's hands available.

Somehow, when he opened the door, and I saw his friendly face, I was completely at ease. My daughter needed surgery. He and his nurses, and his Physician’s Assistant, and Dr. Banda’s medical partner, all showed a tremendous amount of concern. Dr. Banda is now my family’s general surgeon! If you are looking for a general surgeon, you have found him! And, one other thing. I’m married to a physician, so, I might be a little more focused on all aspects of how the doctor presents himself! We are thrilled to place our daughter in such a super competent surgeon’s care! Choose Dr. Banda. You’ll be so glad that you did.

I had to have a gallbladder removed yesterday ( May 12 ). The reception staff, L. Hartshorn answered all my questions. I forgot my excuse for work and Mrs. Hartshorn got it to me really quick.I was given Dr. Banda's name by a nurse at Minden Medical Center. Dr. Banda had removed his gall bladder in the past. Dr. Banda explained what would happen from the beginning to the end. His nurse's name is Pam and she is very nice. She answered all my questions and that made me feel very comfortable. The whole team at this hospital made me feel so comfortable from coming in and leaving. When I woke up, my blood pressure was very high and my oxygen was very low. This went on for a while, but there was a young nurse (K. Franklin), that sat by my side the whole time monitoring my blood pressure and giving me oxygen. I remember her saying she had to give me a blood pressure med to get my blood pressure down. Every time I woke up I saw her sitting there, telling me to take deep breaths because my oxygen was going down. I remember seeing a lot of Chick-Fil-A cups. LOL. I remembered (It is Nurse appreciation week). And people coming out of a break room. Somebody asked her did she want to go eat yet. I think she was hungry, but she never left, until I kinda woke up. I did not get a chance to tell her "thank you ". I was sleeping for a very long time after this surgery. They took care of me 100 percent. I had to have a gallbladder removed yesterday ( May 12 ). I went to Willis Knighton in Bossier City, Louisiana on Monday morning for severe stabbing pains in my stomach every time I would move. They ran a CT scan and found out I had an umbilical hernia and it would require surgery. To say the least it took me a minute to process everything and I was set up for a consultation with Dr Banda. From the second I read the online reviews I felt like I was in good hands. When I met him that Wednesday, it confirmed that he was going to take care of me. He scheduled my pre-op and in the morning he will be doing the surgery. Although I'm a little nervous as with any type of surgery, I feel completely confident that he will do his absolute best to get me back to the quality of life I had before this started. I was also scared of how I was going to afford it but his staff was amazing and they do indeed take both of my insurances. My husband was a patient of Dr. Banda, but he released my husband today. Hurray!!

Very professional staff and Dr. Banda knows his stuff. After my surgery day 2 I was up feeling better with minor pain.

Dr. Banda is it only a great surgeon but is very personal. It’s really great when you find a doctor is not only concerned about his patients but a pleasure to be around. Great doctor.

Very courteoues and knowledgeable

The staff was courteous & welcoming when I checked in. Dr Banda came in & asked me what had been happening to decide to make the appt. He listened, checked me, then took his time to discuss his findings & his recommendations for resolving my problem. He was thorough, knowledgeable, & caring to assess the options & decide on the best plan of action. He suggested that I do some preparation & come back in February to schedule surgery.

The staff and Dr Banda were all very professional and made me feel great and the office visit was good.

Dr. Banda and his staff were very nice, wait time was minimal and Dr. Banda was willing to listen and explain my procedure.

Likeable!!!

Had a hernia, was sent to Banda and was pleased with office visit. Performed my surgery and everyone at office seems very caring about you. They explained everything to a "T". All needed paperwork handed to you before you leave. Accepts Medicare and UnitedHealth Care insurance.

I went to the ER after being sick all night. After having an ultrasound it was determined that I needed gallbladder surgery. Dr. Banda was the surgeon who performed the surgery. After three and 1/2 weeks I was released to do as I please. I am so thankful Dr. Banda was available to take such good care of me.

Dr. Banda’s expertise as a surgeon, along with his caring and compassionate bedside manner make him #1 in my book! Dr. Banda, thank you.

Dr. Banda was very nice and not hurried. He was very courteous. He was honest with me. If not, he could have removed my gallbladder for an insurance payout. He said that if I was t in pain, I should not have the surgery. I appreciated that honesty.

Dr Banda tool my gallbladder out. Said it was one of the nastiest ones hes seen so far. He was so attentive & caring. Hands down one of the best surgeons around.

Dr. Banda took over my care after I had to have extensive emergency surgery on the weekend. After he walked in my hospital room I knew I was in good hands. I also felt the same way with his NP, Sam. She was kind and compassionate. They really listened to my needs and were happy to take care of my concerns. This was very comforting to me especially since this was my first major surgery and totally unexpected. And Dr. Banda has a good sense of humor that gave me an added reason to call him one of my super heroes. I must also include the office staff. Misty and Barbara were very helpful and personable. Had my surgery today. Dr. Banda is GREAT!!!

Very professional, but relaxing at the same, his manner is excellent.

Doc Banda is always thorough and gives detailed explanations of problems. I've been his patient for nearly 6 years and have never been dissatisfied with his care. I am greatly appreciative of his willingness to perform surgical procedures off schedule. Previous doctors only operated certain days of the week. This is a credit to him and his concern for patient care. His nursing staff is top-notch. He and his team have my Sterling recommendation.

Dr Banda and his staff have been absolutly amazing. From my first visit, pre-surgery, post-surgery, and my recovery they were awesome. His office staff never hesitated in helping me with anything I needed, or asked. As someone that gets nervous around doctors, I was always comfortable with Dr Banda, his nursing staff, and PA. They get an A+ all around.

Diagnosis quick with great explanation.

He performed my surgery to resect my colon and get my appendix taken out. He did a great job. I am doing a lot better post surgery.

Dr. Banda is an Excellent Physician. Very honest, extremely compassionate and most importantly to me ,he listened and received what I had to say and respected what I knew about my body. In kind, he did everything possible to address my fears and design a treatment plan that was specifically suited for me. Finally someone who knew what they were talking about! Even my husband said, "now that's a real doctor!" We already knew what it would take to get my issue under control, hearing a doctor in agreement made me feel understood!

Great surgeon very knowledgeable and polite to me. Helpful after my checkup and expressed concern of my recovery.

Dr. Banda put me at ease immediately. He explained everything completely including options. A very caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, capable, and talented surgeon. His positive and upbeat way of taking care of my needs is all the proof I need that Dr. Banda has answered a calling and not simply a career. As well, every staff member in his office is extremely helpful, caring and compassionate. I wish I could rate Dr. Banda and his staff a 10!

He is very thorough and did the proper tests prior to my surgery. His incisions are very precise and small so I will have minimal scaring. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking expertise in his field. His staff was very helpful and friendly.
