Dr. Micah Avner Berman

Dr Berman was able to explain the results of my child’s test in a way that was easy for me to understand. Additionally he understood the types of health history questions to ask me so that I could provide useful information as we start to investigate what the causes of her medical condition is. Dr Berman was able to request, obtain, and review my child’s medical records from the hospital when she was born to help us better understand her condition and has explain what next steps we need to take. This was all in one office visit, and we are very pleased to be working with Dr Berman to diagnose and treat our child’s condition.

Dr Micah Berman was really professional I had gone in with my 4 year old daughter who was having some troubles and he knew exactly what to do for her.

Didn't seem to really want to help us. Made some rude comments about my son just not listening, he failed his hearing test 4 times... Seemed annoyed I asked questions. Wondered what the point of this visit even was for, starting over now.

We are so happy with the care provided by Dr Berman- he’s so personal and kind. He is also very knowledgeable and an expert.

As a nervous parent with a child needing tubes he made our experience so personal and helped us know and understand what will be happening to make us comfortable. He is an amazing doctor I recommend him as we have needed tubes again and a child getting her tonsils out. I love how well he works with my kids to make them understand and not be so nervous. We love how caring and compassionate he is . What a wonderful experience every time. Hands down the best.

We felt that the visit was super rushed and that he was not even interested in discussing our sons issues. He did not take the time and read any of the info sent over before hand. The first thing he did when he walked in the room was tickled my 6 year olds stomach…He then Does a quick exam and was like “well, I can’t really get a good look I guess he’s fine just wait till he is older.” Doesn’t take any measurements or anything. His bedside manner was lacking and even as we were leaving we were following him in the direction to the waiting room as we were still behind him he opened the door to his next patient and says to the new patients “sorry, that took longer than I wanted it too”. Was not impressed when he also talked down about the speech therapist we use. Even if he doesn’t agree with her that’s fine - but then let me know what you think the issue is. I was really curious and as I asked more questions it’s as if he got more agitated and rude. Do not recommend.

Dr. Berman was great! He listened to our concerns, provided instruction on treatment, and will be following up with us next week.

In my opinion Dr. Berman is a Top Notch Pediatric Specialist. I won’t take my son elsewhere. He truly cares. He has gone above and beyond for my very medically fragile & medically complicated special needs little son more than once. Dr. Berman is approachable, has a down to earth kind bedside manner, he educates us, is always optimistic in finding ways to improve Emmetts quality of life and has recently done so with a simple surgical procedure that was done with minimal invasion/pain and will decrease our son’s illnesses & hospitalizations. Our son’s pulmonary team referred him in 2016 originally and we couldn’t ask for better medical professionals. He is part of a comprehensive team of Pediatric Specialists who are experts and TRULY CARE, caring for this very special yet fragile child! Thank you Dr Berman, Dr Mikesell & Dr Cavanaugh for referring Dr Berman for those ear-tubes back when we originally met! If anyone is looking for an ENT for their child, look no further.

We had a great experience with Dr. Berman. He took his time listening to our concerns, answering our questions and explaining our son’s diagnosis along with the scope of the larynx he did in office on our 1 week old. He gave us a lot of confidence in an area we were unfamiliar with and made sure we knew how to contact him with questions and concerns. Highly recommend to anyone with kids who are struggling with anything ENT related. I left our visit feeling so much better than when we came in.

Dr. Berman did a great job with my 3.5 year old son. He made him feel comfortable and safe and didn’t push it any further when my son wasn’t having it getting his ears cleaned out. I trust he’ll do a great job taking out my sons tonsils and adenoids.

Dr. Berman was the best recommendation I received for my child. He reviewed her allergy medicine and discussed alternatives which have helped tremendously. The procedure he had to do he explained it to my child and made sure she was comfortable and understood.

Dr. Berman and his staff were all fabulous. They were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, etc. My child has been with him for the last 4 years and loves to go and see him. Definitely would recommend.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Berman as an ENT. From the moment we came under his care, he has done everything he could to improve our son's hearing. We couldn't be more pleased, and would not hesitate in recommending him to friends and family.

Dr. Berman was extremely rushed for our morning appointment. Did not seem to have read my sons chart beforehand either. 2/5 stars for his bedside manner. Left feeling upset and like the entire appointment was a waste of time. He gave me options and expected me to make a decision on the spot. Asked if I could think about the options (and talk about it with my husband) and he said yep and walked out without saying anything. The audiologist on the other hand was wonderful!

When I brought my son to see Dr Berman, he was an hour behind. He came into the room and was very rushed and told me more then once he was behind. I didn't feel like he left me enough time to ask any questions. When I left the appointment, I was so disappointed. I called the clinic 2 days later with all my questions. I was told someone would contact me and I still haven't heard from anyone. I have always gone to Allina clinics and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had.

Excellent Care given to my Child. Very helpful,patient to answer questions and reassuring.
