I saw Dr. Swartz for over a year and never had any improvement in my symptoms. I was in extreme pain and my emails, calls, requests for appointments were either ignored or followed up with more medications that barely helped. I missed work for weeks but could not get any help from her. Only until she was on vacation did her colleague give me a medication that did something at the moment. My last visit with her she said my symptoms seemed new than when we had originally met and wanted to rush me into a surgery that was terribly unnecessary. She never seemed to really listen to me. She seems very smart but doesn't seem to really listen. I heard by many people she was the best in the area - she was not.

I haven’t felt more humiliated by a doctor since I was pregnant with my first child 13 years ago. She treated me like I was stupid and wasting her time. This is the type of experience that can lead people to neglect their health. I’m certainly not interested in following up. I’ll take chances with Dr. Google.

She never talked directly to me. I felt as if my input was not important. She knew very little about Parkinson’s disease. She kept trying to convince me to try an option that I had already stated would not work for me.
