Dr, Kirshner did a good job on my valve replacement. His nurse practitioner and scheduler were wonderful helping me get ready for surgery. The reason for the three-star rating is that my femoral nerve was damaged during surgery when I was connected to the heart lung machine. After going through four months of physical therapy the pain was greatly reduced and I could walk without my leg giving out. One year later the pain has not totally gone away and probably won't since nerves heal slowly. While I am grateful Dr. Kirshner’s valve replacement was successful, I am wondering what could have been done during surgery prep to prevent the nerve in my leg from being damaged.

Dr Kirshner is an excellent surgeon. He performed a triple bypass on my heart a week ago and I am already back home rehabbing.

Dr. Kirshner saved my life! Period! I had quadruple bypass surgery in 2019 that was completely unexpected. I had no idea just how sick I was. When informed by the on-duty hospital cardiologist that my arteries were too blocked for stints, and that I would have to undergo emergency bypass surgery within 24 hours, I was justifiably worried. Dr. Kirshner came into my room a day before the surgery and reassured me. His calm and confident manner greatly helped me get past the concern of such a complex and serious surgery. After the surgery he joked around with me and said I did really well. I hope I never need such a surgery again, but if so I would hope to have Dr. Kirshner as the surgeon.

Dr. Kirshner saved my life one year ago today 2/3/2020 with quadruple bypass surgery at Banner Thunderbird Hospital in Glendale...I am 73...Thank You Doctor!

After suffering an aortic dissection on September, 28 2020, my chances for survival were only one in four. I was blessed that Dr. Kirshner just happened to be on call that day and he literally saved my life. After a nine hour operation and 57 days in the hospital (22 in intensive care), I'm finally making real progress in recovering from the devastating rupture. I'm also sure that had Dr. Kirshner not been there that night to operate on me, I wouldn't be here today. I'm deeply thankful and blessed to have had him as my surgeon. I fully recommend this excellent surgeon, to any and all, who would benefit from his peerless surgical gifts.

Dr kirshner lied to my 78 year old fathers face and delayed care for over 3 months! He finally admitted his lies in a room full of people. My father died as a direct result of delay in care caused by Dr Kirshner.

I'm Blessed to have such a wonderful man work on my heart. He truly was God sent. I'm alive today and owe my life to Dr Kirchner. His Love for his work shows, and the kindness he showed towards me during my Quadruple Bypass ,He took my stand on no blood, I went into surgery knowing I would be fine,and here I am a yr later. God Bless this man for all the great things he has done to help his heart patients all over..

Dr. Kirshner was an hour late for my consultation appointment, even though I was only the 3rd appointment of the day. My appointment was scheduled for 9 am and he was just seeing the 1st appointment at 9:30 am, so I have a feeling he was late getting to the office. He didn't even offer an apology for keeping me waiting an hour past my appointment time, while my husband had to wait in his truck in the parking lot. Then, about 5 minutes into a conversation about my pending heart surgery, he took a personal call on his cell phone right there in the exam room. Seriously?? He could've at least excused himself and stepped out of the room to pretend it was important enough to interrupt our conversation. I found Dr. Kirshner to be unprofessional and will be consulting a different surgeon to perform the valve replacement.

Dr Kirshner looked my 77 year old father in the eye and told him he’d fix his heart. Instead he lied and delayed care for over 3 months. Had Dr Kirshner told us the truth that he wasn’t willing to operate on him, he might be alive today. At least then, he could have gotten a second opinion and found a surgeon willing to take the 15% risk of dying. Without the surgery there was a 100% chance of death!! Very attentive care and concern. More follow up visits than any surgeon ever wants to have. He continues to keep a close eye on my healing heart and progress. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Kirshner is amazing. He saved my life. His medical and support staff go above and beyond to make sure your health is first. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Kirshner. Every once in a while you run into one of the Good, Good, Guys. And he is one of the few. Thank you Dr. Kirshner's office for everything.

I had my open heart surgery on March-09-2018. Dr. Kirshner is my heart surgeon. An excellent one. He made me feel very comfortable from the very first visit. I highly recommend him to any patient. Thank you for saving my life and also thanks to all the staff that helped me at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus. I appreciate very much.

He is my heart surgeon. I am alive today because of him. Him and his nurse are the best we have ever met. I would recomend any one who wants a world class heart doctor to go to him.

Dr. Kirshner successfully repaired a mitral valve for my mom, who is 75 years old. He was informative, personable, kind and explained everything so that we could understand the procedure. He was confident, easy to talk to and showed compassion. He never made us feel like we were rushed when asking questions and stopped by frequently to check on her before and after surgery. Dr. Kirshner is an excellent surgeon and my mom had wonderful results. We are grateful she found such an amazing doctor!

Dr. Kirshner performed Aortic valve replacement surgery on me in 2011. He did such an excellent job I was able to regain my first class FAA flight physical 1 year later. I would highly recommend him. If you would find yourself in similar circumstances or any required heart surgery.

This is my five star review for Dr. Kirshner. I had my open heart surgery on 4/18/2016 and had several valves replacement. My procedure was invasive, but his precise ability was top-quality which allowed him to complete my operation with ease. I am very particular person, especially since this was my first open heart surgery. I highly recommend him to any patient. He is professional, genuine, and compassionate. Dr Kirshner saved my life when others were recommending my wife look into to Hospice for me. He didn't promise anything but said he thought he could help. I trusted him and here I am 4 years later still alive and living a good life. Thank you, Dr. Kirshner.
