Dr. Melvin Lester Goldin

Dr. Goldin is one of the most respected and well known psychiatrists in the state. Further, many Neuro Psychologists if not all have great reverence for his vast knowledge from which many still use as a resource today. I was honored to have been a patient for 8 years, I was devastated to learn of his retirement. He is the most kind-hearted, honest, honorable, caring, and Supreme advocate for all of his patients. He was like my second father, and he will be missed terribly.

Myself and an entire community. He is one of the most well respected psychiatrists in the state, has been a leading resource for Neuro psychologists and is best defined as honorable, kind, concerned, brilliant, and has been like a second father to me since 2016. I love this man and am honored to have had the privilege to have him in my life.

Do not go here. They don't bill your insurance. They charge you money and then don't know what they charged you. They won't send you a detailed receipt so you can use your health savings account. They claim they have called you and they don't.

Dr. Golfing was my father's doctor for many years and he was an awesome doctor. My family was very happy with the progress that he had with my father. This man asked my sister extremely inappropriate questions when we saw him as children. My parents attempted to confront him but he denied it. I will remember it forever. Do not take your children to him.

Dr. Goldin has made my life better. Bottom line. Great to help get to where you want to be. He's become a friend of mine, as well.

I have been a patient of Dr. Goldin since 1999. He is very professional and caring. Helped me with my disability claim with the OPM and Social Security. Great guy to have on your side.

Dr. Goldin is a professional and caring Individual. He takes time to address any and all concerns. He makes one feel comfortable as he has a very caring and concerned disposition. I highly recommend him.

I have been Dr. Goldin's patient for 25 years. It is impossible to convey how grateful I am for his brilliance, unwavering support for issues of mental health, and genuine compassion for other human beings. Dr. Goldin has made such a significance in my health, my life, my sense of well-being, that I will always consider him to be a deeply integral part of my life. He is a patient advocate. He is professional, and he is humble and above all, he is kind. Grateful.

I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor.

I have never encountered someone so cold and uncaring in a helping profession. His staff is rude and unprofessional and he is a pompous, self-obsessed poor man's Sigmund Freud. I was shocked at how blatantly rude an uncaring he was. When someone comes to you in distress, it's truly cruel to behave the way that Dr. Goldin did. On top of that he was not helpful at all. Thankfully I found a new doctor after him who was caring, listened to his patients and found a combo of medicine that worked.

I’ve seen several psychiatrists and Dr Goldin is probably my favorite. He has a fatherly personality but not too much. He’s easy to talk to and is interested in my psychiatric long term goals.

Dr. Goldin is always very professional and I never feel rushed or unimportant.

Dr. Goldin is an AMAZING doctor. I trust him 100% with my mental health needs. He always listens to me and my concerns and problems. He is kind and incredibly intelligent. I will never see another psychiatrist as long as he is in practice. One of his receptionists is super sweet, and I always enjoy seeing her. (Unfortunately I can't think of her name, but she has been there many years!) The other one has an attitude problem, which I find a little off-putting considering she is speaking with people who are frequently dealing with incredibly difficult issues. Honestly, she does not affect me or my opinion of Dr. Goldin, and after seeing him for 15 years, I will happily put up with any small hassle to continue receiving treatment from him. He listens and is considerate! Quite knowledgeable about meds too!!!

Dr. Goldin is compassionate and knowledgeable, and came highly recommended to me. His office staff could be better, but are well-worth dealing with.

Dr. Goldin has been a constant in my life for almost 20 years. Great listener and practitioner. It took several years of my life to find him. And I'm happy to stay. I'd like to address the staffing mentioned in previous reviews. The ladies do not go out of their way to be "friendly". But, we are not here to be friends. It is a small staff. The ladies know their jobs and do them well. No time for pleasantries, just work. Oh, and I seldom have to wait more than 5 - 10 minutes upon arrival. I can appreciate the efficiency. I just called to make a new patient appointment. The receptionist asked what kind of insurance I had and then immediately told me they weren't accepting new patient with my type of insurance. I do not have state insurance but she put it in that category when I asked her to name some of the insurances they accept. She was very short and rude. I got the feeling that she wouldn't have accepted my insurance no matter what it would have been. I got a referral from my therapist for this psychiatrist, I suppose I will have to find someone else.
