I had my first appointment with Dr. Pecoraro today. She, the medical assistant/radiologist Whitney, and the other staff were incredibly friendly and professional. They took the time to answer all of my questions in detail - I did not feel like I was being rushed. Dr. Pecoraro was able to ease any concerns that I had. On August 13, 2020 I had to get a procedure for my receding gums. Of course I was super nervous because it involves my mouth getting stitched up and Dr. Pecoraro and her assistant Whitney were so wonderful and made me feel so comfortable when I was so nervous and it made the overall procedure so much easier. After a couple of years under the thumb of an arrogant, shaming periodontist who was trying to push me into an aggressive surgery because of my "poor gum care" and blamed me for my lack of Vitamin D - it was a relief to under the care of Dr. Pecoraro. I felt heard and was pleased to know my gums were "healthy and pink". She examined my gums gently and thoroughly and will be working in tandom with my new dentist to correct my botched implants. She is the SECOND periodontist to confirm that the "aggressive surgery" was unwarranted. Thrilled to move forward with a well thought-out plan.

Visited for my periodic hygienist visit and experienced the usual fine treatment, thorough and professional. Most importantly, however, is to know how seriously the office is taking COVID-19 precautions. From pre-appt screening, arrival screening, full PPE, counter shields, infection control, and their new suction system, I felt VERY safe getting treated here by Dr. Pecoraro and her staff.

When I arrived in the parking lot, I called the office to let them know I was there, and they asked me to wait until I was called to come in. After I passed the staff in the waiting room who were behind protected shields, I was then guided into the room with the dental assistant and she was protected and everything was cleaned and thoughtfully prepared to keep everyone germ free. I felt completely safe and thankful that Dr. Pecoraro and her staff were extremely mindful of safety measures and were still happy and helpful. This was a very comfortable experience, especially in this current situation!

From the very moment I was connected to the office of Dr. Melissa Pecoraro, I was treated with an unbelievable amount of attention. Everyone I dealt with...EVERYONE...was so incredibly professional and friendly. I felt so relaxed despite the fact I was about to have a small surgical procedure performed. The care and time Dr. Pecoraro spent explaining precisely what and how she was going to perform the procedure was simply impressive. Every step of the way, she continued to ensure I was doing okay. It was by far the most pleasant visit I have had at a medical office ever (and I am 62 years old). No one wants to have to visit a periodontist, but neither do I dread my next visit with Dr. Pecoraro. In fact, I am actually looking forward to my next visit to wrap up the work I needed done. I will be relocating to Virginia in a few months. If I ever needed serious work done again, I genuinely believe I would travel back to NJ to see Dr. Pecoraro. Fantastic service, fantastic team. Really a singularly unique experience.

My first visit back since the office closed due to COVID 19 and I have to say that the premises and the staff were all very professional and concerned about following the CDC guidelines for keeping themselves and me safe. If you ever need any periodontal work, Dr. Pecoraro is the one to go to! She is warm, kind and compassionate! She truly cares about all of her patients and provides the best care! I had to go in for a deep cleaning and it was pain free. In addition, my dentist told me that I might need dental implants. Due to the high cost of implants, I was concerned about it. Dr. Pecoraro sat with me and came up with an alternative procedure. She truly cared about my concerns. Her dedicated staff are also amazing!
