Dr. Melissa Stewart Deberry

This is a terrible office. Staff is totally incompetent from the phones being down for days to screwing up prescription orders over & over. I have tried to speak to Dr DeBerry on the phone about these concerns & they won't even let me talk to her on the phone! Total run around.

I would drive many miles for Dr. DeBerry to be my doctor, however, I am lucky that her office is within a mile. She is not only knowledgeable, but calm, methodical, patient, professional, and explains thinks so that I can understand. She is great, I trust her, and she has proven to me several times that she knows her stuff.

I had my first visit to Dr. DeBerry's office last week. I couldn't get over how much time not just her nurse but Dr. DeBerry herself spent with me going over every detail of my medical history and asking pertinent question. Dr. DeBerry answered every question I had in detail. I left her office feeling like I was treated as a person and not a symptom. It's nice to know I have a physician I can trust. Thank God for Dr DeBerry and her staff especially during this Covid-19 pandemic! They are an awesome group!

Dr DeBerry and her staff are wonderful. The office and clinical staff make sure my medications are up to date and my appointments to specialists are sent. They have always treated me with kindness and make me feel that I am important to them. The person who left 1 star definitely had issues with someone not giving them what they wanted and retaliated. The staff shouldn't have to put up with rude patients. I have heard patients being rude and they handled it with professionalism. Patients like these need to listen before trying to force their demands. They may just find out that the staff truly is trying to help them in the long run.

Dr. Deberry and her staff are the best. She listens to you. She cares about you and how you feel. She goes above and beyond to help her patients. She doesn’t rush through your appointment she really listens. I have never had a doctor that listened and understood and actually helped me. The staff are all so friendly and helpful

My husband and I have been going to Dr. DeBerry for about a year, since moving to Alabama. We are over 80, and have a number of health issues. Dr. DeBerry and her staff have been extremely helpful, patient with many referrals required, and both friendly and kind. Their performance has been excellent. Dr. DeBerry is very thorough and careful in her recommendations and diagnoses, and spends as much time as necessary to leave you treated correctly and informed. This lady is superior. She has high intelligence. She is very knowledgeable of her discipline. She is compassionate toward her patients. She is a leader. She is highly organized and disciplined. I love her style, command, and personality. She is blessed by God with her keen abilities and talents.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. DeBerry ever since she came to Gurley Clinic and then Hampton Cove. She has always given us courteous and prompt care when needed. Her staff has also been most helpful and caring.

Terrible experience! Staff is RUDE! My mom and I were over talked, yelled at, lied to, hung up on and mistreated. My mom is suffering with a UTI for nearly 2 weeks and has had the run around from office staff and doc, now the doc is going out of town and does not have time to call in a prescription that she said she would (3 days ago) if she wasn't feeling better and told her to go to a walk in clinic! They treat people awful at this office and do not care about their patients! Nobody should have to feel this bad for this long and then get screamed at. Very unprofessional!!! Terrible experience! Being in the healthcare field myself, I was extremely happy with everything Dr. DeBerry did for me in testing, explaining things and in treatment. She really went above and beyond what was required of her and did more than most providers would. I highly recommend her and her staff and totally trust her judgement.

Office staff has always been pleasant to my husband and me! The person who gave only 1 star probably has a difficult time with people telling her the truth! Dr DeBerry listens to you and spends time researching the correct medicines. She doesn't just give you what you want. If medicine doesn't help then she will refer you to a specialist so that they can find an advanced course of treatment. I would highly recommend her to family and friends.

She is a caring doctor who listens to your concerns and plans the best course of action. I have read a previous complaint and don't believe that person was in their right mind. From my experience and my friends experience, the office staff have always been friendly and courteous to patients. Dr DeBerry is not going to give you what you want if she does not think it is the best course of action. I like that she is thorough in finding out how to help me recover from my illness. She is awesome!

Office manager was extremely rude. Dr. Deberry, her nurse and the office mangager are not on the same page. In the end Dr. Deberry did not have patient care and well being in her agenda. I was belittled, yelled at, hung up on, lied to, misdirected, and told to go to a walk in clinic. I have never been treated this bad in all my life!!! Terrible experience!!

Excellent experience for my whole family over time.

I have been a patient of Dr. DeBerry for almost a year now. I like the fact that I never feel rushed during my visit. I find her to be very thorough. I find her to be sympathetic and compassionate with my needs. I like the fact also that she practices wellness and preventative measures.
