Dr. Maya Kiison Mitchell

My experience while under her care was top-notch. She listens, and although she's firm with her patients it always came from a place of love and care. She provided me with details about her recommendation yet still allowed my health to be my choice on how I wanted to proceed. I had a really rough day at one of my appointments and ended up crying, completely unrelated to my appointment. She took time to just listen to me while grabbing me tissue. I love her and the only reason I had to switch is due to my new job not accepting her plan.

This Dr. was hostile with me when I arrived late for my first appointment. Even though I apologized, she remained hostile throughout our visit. She asked me why I had changed doctors (from someone else to her). I explained that my previous doctor had prescribed medication to me and then in follow-up visits asked me who prescribed the medication and how long I had been on it. This made me feel uneasy that the doctor didn't remember what she had prescribed to me or why. Dr. Mitchell then proceeded to tell me that I shouldn't have changed to her and that I should have kept the physician I had before. WOW.

I came in for an X-Ray because I was in a major accident and in a lot of pain. I didn't receive the X -Ray and when I told her my pain was a 9 she tried to get me to change my answer. She told me just take painkiller medicine smh.
