I love Dr Scott! I think she is the best obstetrician I have ever seen. She listens to you and explains everything she is doing. She is very knowledgeable! She is patient and answers your questions. I wish I could take to Tennessee with me!

Took my daughter here, very rude to men. Made me wait outside in the winter for over an hour. Only 1 other person in lobby but was rude to me and made only me wait outside. Went back in after hour to ask and they where rude again say sorry for your wait in a very sarcastic voice. If you are a man helping a female here don't expect any respect SOME of this staff... won't be back.

I'm editing my post because there has been a change in front office staff in the years since I initially reviewed. This new front office staff is 100% on par with Dr Scott's wonderful personality. When I come into the office now it is welcoming and less stressful. The office staff are now wonderful and attentive from the front to the nurse. Dr. Scott, as always, is an excellent clinician. She was always the reason I came back and will continue to come back. She listens. Like REALLY listens. And I feel like she has a level of genuine concern and caring for her patients I havent seen in a while in other physicians. Dr Scott provided prenatal care during both of my pregnancies (twins). She was great, she delivered my babies and I had a wonderful experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Scott-Phillips for a number of years. She is a very knowledgeable physician, and has an amazing bedside manner! I am very comfortable intrusting her to what is my most intimate and vulnerable parts of my health. So very blessed to have her as my GYN!

Made an appointment online, which they cancelled and no one bothered calling me or emailing me to tell my why my appointment was canceled, or to even reschedule. What an awful way to practice business.

So happy to have this doctor for my health care! Staff has always been knowledgeable and focused on each individual patient. I love walking in there, being known and addressed by name- there's no better customer service than personally knowing the people who come through the doors.

Dr Scott has delivered one of my babies, and many many nieces and nephews. I am eternally grateful for her positive personality, and uplifting energy, knowledge, and care she provides to each and every patient!

Dr. Mattie Scott-Phillips is certainly one of the best OBGYN there is. She is sensitive and as well knowledgeable. I have referred my friends and family they have all had wonderful experiences while in her care. I moved away several years ago. While away i had an unusual experience in the care of another obgyn. Now i have decided i will return for my physical exam every year with Dr. Scott-Phillips. She is worth it and i am worth it. As for her staff they are friendly and extremely helpful. Dr. Scott makes me feel so comfortable during my visits and treats me like family. She completed a major surgery on me and did a great job and very compassionate. She is very caring even with my after care. Her staff is very professional and accommodating.

Dr.Scott is the best there is, myself along with three of my daughters are patients of Dr.Scott. She is compassionate, very easy to talk to and knowledgeable. The welcome feeling her office staff and herself gives to myself and family is amazing. I will miss her when we move.

Dr Scott is literally the best doctor I ever had. I had complications and she literally cancelled her day and stayed to make sure I was good. She came back every few hours to check in., and she wasn't rounding at the hospital. I was the only surgery. What doctor does that? She is the BEST!

No idea how the Doctor is, but you guys need to get rid of Barb. This is my first time pregnant and I feel completely lost and am just looking for medical support and this woman was so rude and unprofessional.

Their phone line says their office hours on thursday is 830-5pm...With lunch being 12-1. I call at 245 three times and was still told to call back during office hours by their automated answering service. Have my first OB appt coming up and im already not impressed that i cant even reach the office during normal office times.

Made my appointment as a new patient in August of 2018. I was told that Dr. Scott was not accepting new patients until December. After calling around to every OBGYN office in my area, Dr. Scott's office was actually the soonest versus any other office. I decided to schedule my appointment for Dec. 18th. When I was contacted by Courtney to confirm my appointment the day before, she never informed me that if I was sick I would have to reschedule my appointment. I had just recently come down with a cold three days prior. When I arrived for my appointment, they refused to see me. The staff at this office is rude and very unprofessional first time and last time and need to be retrained in the front Of the office.

I had the displeasure of meeting Dr. Mattie Scott-Phillips a few years ago, when my old OB-GYN retired and I needed a new doctor to remove my Mirena IUD and put in a new one. This was my third IUD and so I was familiar with the procedure, but it appeared that Dr. Scott-Phillips was not, as she was unable to remove the IUD. However, Dr. Scott-Phillips was great compared to her office staff. Her receptionist was rude, dismissive, and thought nothing of GRABBING MY HAND while I was paying the bill to look at some notes I had written to myself... and SHOWING my hand to another employee. Then there was her nurse. Even after telling the nurse that I no longer had a menstrual cycle (a common side effect of the Mirena IUD), she continued to insist that I would need to schedule the appointment for the new IUD at the beginning of my next period. When I pointed out to her that she wasn't giving me much of a choice if I wanted a new IUD other than to lie about having a menstrual cycle, she became rude and insulting. Dr. Scott-Phillips is far from the only practicing OB-GYN in the area. I wasted no time in finding another one. I suggest anyone reading this do the same. I was so excited to see Dr Scott. i heard nothing but good things about her. Unfortunately, no one warned me about how rude and nasty her Nurse was. I would sit and watch how cheerful she was calling certain people back from the waiting room... and with me, it was always attitude and i never understood why. Ill never forget having to call to get results to tests or just calling for a concern and being made feel like a nuisance and ignorant. she was ALWAYS RUDE. ALWAYS. Ill also never forget the pain and agony of having my stitches RIPPED out of my stomach by the nurse after my c section. I made a formal compliant against her which I dont think was taken seriously. Rudest doctor. Staff isn't very nice or helpful either. Broke doctor-patient confidentiality agreement many times.

I am new to the area and call this office to set up a appointment to see this Doctor and encountered a very rude receptionist. I was told that this doctor is not accepting any new patients and give the name of another doctor. When I asked her to spell the doctors name she spelled it fast and I then asked her to repeat she very rudely said hold on. I told her she was rude and hung up and now thankful that the doctor wasn't accepting new patients for I don't believe I would have enjoyed going into that office. It's too bad that the staff and nurse of this office are so horrible because Dr. Scott is actually super awesome. The front office staff and Nurse Leann are incredibly rude and purposefully make things very difficult for patients. Scheduling is a nightmare at this office and they are not apologetic or friendly about it at all. If you call on the phone, make sure you set aside at least a half an hour to 45 minutes because you will be on hold forever, and when you finally are able to speak to the nurse, she will treat you like you are completely stupid. Like I said though, this is really sad because Dr. Scott is amazing. She is super caring and sensitive with her patients and she is also hilarious. After a recent miscarriage, she came right into the room and immediately gave me a hug and let me cry for a minute before saying anything. Dr. Scott is absolutely amazing! She delivered both of my children which were both high-risk pregnancies. She is very professional yet down to earth. So very easy to talk to. She always takes time to answer all of my questions and concerns no matter how busy the office may be. I have recommended several friends and family to her and will continue to do so! I have read several comments pertaining to her front staff...I could not disagree more! They are absolute sweethearts to me and my family. They are always polite and professional! Unfortunately I have to agree about some of the unpleasantries of the nurse at this office. I am a firm believer that a doctor's staff should be a reflection of them. The nurse here can be pleasant some of the time...but majority of the time can come across very rude. Dr. Scott has been my OB/GYN since early 2000’s. She delivered both of my children flawlessly and has performed countless annual exams. She is extremely thorough and helps me stay mindful and proactive in regard to my family history of Breast Cancer. When coming to the office, it’s like visiting old friends and family. Dr. Scott is the most amazing doctor I have ever had. She will spend as much time talking to you as you need, and she is the kindest, most competent person to handle any issue you have. I have been struggling for years with infertility and pregnancy loss, and I never would've made it through everything without her. I have recommended her to everyone I know and care about. I truly believe that she is one of the reasons I have my amazing son, and I will never adequately be able to express my gratitude for this. Her office staff is also amazing. LeAnn has always taken the time to check in with me to see how I'm doing, to offer comfort and advice when needed, and to give the best hugs when I'm suffering. I love Dr Scott and had 2 uncomplicate, vaginal deliveries with her. She is very funny and I looked forward to every appointment. She makes you feel so comfortable during such a vulnerable time and spends a ton of time with each patient. However, I don't think she is as thorough as I typically like. I had to bring up a lot of routine things first in order for her to address, which I thought was odd and made me question if other things were missed (i.e. she never told me to get my vaccinations?)

I am SO very disappointed in that staff at this office. Not only is the receptionist rude, but the Doctor herself is not much better. I had to call my primary care physician for help getting blood results back because no one from Dr. Scotts office was contacting me, even though they said it would be a "rush" lab. I ended up needing a blood transfusion that night and had I not called my regular Dr. I would not have gotten those blood results. After various issues with this office, I will not be returning. I love this doctor, but her office staff could be better. For example, I have been trying to call to make an appointment since they opened at 8:30. I love Dr. Scott. I've only been a patient for a short time, but she was very friendly and comforting. Her staff in the other hand were not extremely caring. I've had experiences with the receptionist 2-3 times and wasn't very people orientated/didn't have good people skills which is important with her job. Dr. Scott is an excellent gynecologist. At each visit I'm given all of the time that I need to discuss my issues and receive feedback. I never feel rushed. She answers all of my questions and shows concern,, if I am troubled. The office is friendly, courteous and professional.

Dr.Scott-Phillips, I can only say that my quality of life and overall health is better because of the recommendations and care she provided to treat my uterine fibroids. She is compassionate, reliable and relatable. Whether you need a referral to a specialist, or your spouse put at ease about your care she is connected and proactive! She will laugh with you and offer a compassionate shoulder to cry on. I truly bless God for her gifts and knowledge to address all of my OB/GYN care. Excellent!
